As a retiree, pet care is truly a part of my everyday life—and something I genuinely enjoy. Since I’m home full-time, your dog will never be left alone for long periods and will receive constant attention, companionship, and care throughout the day. My daily routine is built around keeping dogs happy and comfortable, from morning walks and playtime to relaxed afternoons and evening cuddles. I keep a calm, quiet home where dogs can feel safe and relaxed, and I’m always available for feeding, potty breaks, or just spending quality time with them. When pets stay in my home, I treat them like one of the family. I follow their normal routine as closely as possible—including feeding schedules, walk times, play habits, and bedtime routines—to help them feel safe, comfortable, and relaxed. My home is clean, quiet, and dog-friendly, with plenty of space for lounging, supervised playtime, and cozy naps. I give each dog plenty of personal attention throughout the day, whether that means going for walks, playing fetch, or just offering a warm lap to curl up on. If your dog needs medication, special meals, or extra care (like for puppies or seniors), I handle it all with patience and attention to detail. I also keep pet parents updated with regular messages and photos, so you can rest easy knowing your pup is in good hands.

About: I’ve spent more than 20 years caring for animals, and being around pets has always been a natural part of my life. I’ve owned dogs for most of my life, and when I didn’t have one of my own, I was the person friends, family, and neighbors relied on to care for theirs. My experience includes caring for both large and small dog breeds, each with their own personalities, energy levels, and needs. I’ve also cared for rabbits and horses and spent several summers on a farm, giving me hands-on experience with a variety of animals and teaching me the importance of patience, consistency, and responsible care. In addition, my brother is a professional dog trainer, which has given me valuable insight into dog behavior, communication, and positive handling techniques. While I’m not a certified trainer, I’ve learned practical skills that help me understand dogs and create a calm, safe environment for them. I offer boarding, drop-in visits, dog walking, and house sitting. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, belly rubs, or simply sticking to their daily routine, I’ll make sure they receive personalized care, plenty of attention, and lots of love while you’re away. I understand that leaving your pet with someone else takes trust. My goal is to treat every animal like they’re part of my own family, so you can feel confident knowing they’re in caring, dependable hands. Pet care fits easily into my routine, and I genuinely enjoy making time for it. I’m currently pretty flexible, and starting in September, I’ll mainly be available afternoons, evenings, and weekends. My schedule can vary from time to time, but I’ll always keep my availability updated and make sure every pet gets the time, attention, and care they need. I try to make every pet feel as comfortable as possible by sticking to the routine they’re used to. Every dog is different, so I always ask about their schedule, personality, and any special instructions before I start caring for them. If I’m working that day, I always make sure we get a good walk in before I leave. It’s a great way for them to use the bathroom, burn off some energy, and start the day on a positive note. I usually aim for at least a 30-minute walk. When I get home, we head back outside for another potty break and walk. Depending on your dog’s age, energy level, and what they enjoy, our walk might be 30 minutes or it could turn into a longer walk around the neighborhood. Before bed, I always take them out one last time so they’re comfortable for the night. I follow whatever feeding schedule you already have in place, whether that’s in the morning, afternoon, or evening. I know pets thrive on routine, so I do my best to keep things as normal as possible while you’re away. Most importantly, I treat every pet like they’re my own. They’ll get plenty of attention, playtime, affection, fresh water, and lots of love. My goal is for your pet to feel safe, happy, and cared for—and for you to feel completely at ease knowing they’re in good hands.

About: I’ve had a dog in my house for most of my life. I’ve had very small dogs and giant breed dogs. The largest was 110 pounds. I have volunteered with the ASPCA in the Bay Area. I also have volunteered for many years at the Humane Society in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania as well I’m a huge dog lovers that make our own food. There are also two parks within walking distance from our house. So when your pet stays with me, I will be able to take them to an off leash area multiple times a day. I am an early risers. Your pet will be at the dog park before 6 AM. We play at the dog park that early and take care of our potties. After that, we will come back home, and have our breakfast. The rest of the morning is watching me and my partner clean up and prepare for the day. A mid afternoon break to go back to the park and play off leash. If the park is full, I usually just take a long walk. I try to make sure that they get a couple long walks a week, just so they can get their sniffing in. In the evening, a much longer trip to the park to play. I generally feed dinner around 5 PM. Then cuddling and hanging out for the rest of the evening. I am usually in bed before 10 o’clock I will make sure that all small items that could be chewed up by animals is kept put up. I have many chew toys for the to play with to encourage playing with toys versus destroying property.

Emma was happily tired from walks and playing with other dogs and very relaxed when I took her home. It's great to be able to leave Emma in good hands with Stanley and Victoria.”
