Thanks for being so patient with Walter. I know he is warming up to you.& still getting used to the neighborhood. Maybe he will actually go around the block next time!

Isa did a great job with our dog, Frida. She’s reliable and communicative, and it’s clear from the pictures that all of our animals (dog and 3 cats) wanted to be around her! We recommend her for your dog and cat care needs, and we’ll definitely be rebooking her again.

About: I love animals but have no fur babies of my own. So I really enjoy showering other people's pets with all the attention and scritches I have to give! I have taken care of all kinds of dogs; from chihuahuas to newfoundlands, puppies to seniors, beautiful mutts to regal standard poodles. I am self employed and typically don't work while I'm pet sitting, which gives me lots of flexibility and frees up my time for your fur babies. I stay with animals in their homes so they feel the most comfortable they can while their people are away. I'm fine with animals sleeping in bed with me if that's what their used to as well.

About: Hi! I'm Shirley, a passionate animal lover who believes every walk should be an adventure. Whether your pup loves a brisk walk, extra sniffing time, or plenty of belly rubs, I'm here to make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you're away. I'm reliable, attentive, and excited to get to know your furry family member. I can't wait to meet your best friend and become their new favorite walking buddy! I work from home, which allows me to give pets plenty of attention throughout the day. They won't be left alone for long periods and will receive regular potty breaks, exercise, playtime, and lots of love. I do my best to maintain their normal routine so they feel comfortable, safe, and right at home while you're away. In my home, your pet will be treated like part of the family. I have a fully fenced yard where they can safely enjoy outdoor time, along with plenty of playtime, attention, affection, and a comfortable place to relax. I'll follow your pet's usual routine as closely as possible so they feel safe and at home. For drop-in visits or care in your home, I'll make sure your pet has everything they need during each visit. This includes feeding, fresh water, potty breaks or walks, playtime, lots of love and attention, and, of course, plenty of cuddles if they enjoy them. I'll also follow any specific instructions you provide and send updates so you know your pet is happy and well cared for while you're away.

About: I’ve had both my entire life. All of our animals have been rescues, the most recent additions being quite literally rescued from a bush. I no longer live with my dogs, but I was with two dogs, a cat, and 10 chickens. I dog-sit for three family members often and have decided to expand my services. One family member has one large dog who requires a lot of attention due to anxiety and 1 cat. The other family have 3 dogs ranging in different sizes and needs. And finally, for my close friend who has two very active cats. I love being with dogs and cats, whether we’re playing all day or they just wanna sit around and want a lot of petting time. I am available Saturday to Wednesday prior to 9am and after 6pm, but can do a drop in during my lunch break. I am available all day Thursdays and Fridays, and am available holidays. My cat is an indoor only cat. I only take her outside when she’s in her backpack. I completely understand the stress of not letting your pet run out the door. I’m also fully able to crate dogs

About: I’ve always loved animals and have experience caring for both dogs and cats. I currently have two Toy Poodles and a cat of my own, and I also pet sit for my sister’s Corgi and Ragdoll cat. I’ve also had experience caring for a senior Pomeranian, which taught me the importance of being patient, gentle, and attentive to a pet’s individual needs. Because I have pets of my own, I understand how important it is to have someone you can trust to care for your furry family members. I’m comfortable following their routines, including feeding, walks, playtime, cuddles, and any special instructions. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away! Pet care fits well into my schedule because I have flexibility throughout the week and can work around your pet’s routine and needs. I’m available for walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting, and I’m happy to coordinate around your preferred schedule. I understand that every pet has their own routine, so I’ll do my best to provide consistent care and make sure they get the attention, exercise, and companionship they need while you’re away. Safety and trust are very important to me when caring for someone’s pet. I treat every pet and home with the same care and respect I would want for my own. Before a booking, I like to learn about your pet’s routine, personality, feeding schedule, and any special instructions or needs. During visits, I make sure doors and gates are secure, pets are supervised, and their environment stays clean and comfortable. I’m also happy to send updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. Whether I’m caring for your pet in your home or taking them out for walks, my goal is to provide a calm, safe, and loving environment where they feel comfortable and cared for.

About: 35 yrs in the zoo/aquarium world, consultant state wise and over seas, have had dogs and animals all shapes and sizes in my care, specialized in larger mammals, have had dogs all my life I’m currently very available. So, a good deal of my time is spent doing things with my dog, Bailey. I believe every interaction is an opportunity to learn and influence knowledge as well as shape, create or even retrain different behaviors. To start with pets new to me it’s a lot of gaining likes, dislikes, training methods, favorite toys and foods, also any training goals and how we might approach those goals as well as discussing behaviors we would want to eliminate.

I’ve used Megan many times. She has great communication, is knowledgeable about animals and cares about your pet. I have a young puppy that she’s taken on numerous walks and she has been patient and helped him learn good habits. Megan then gives me great tips on how to continue to help my pup.

About: I'm 36 years old, I love animals and recently got out of the Navy. My family has four dogs back home, kimchi (pitbull lab mix), Indy (German shepherd mix) Louis and Rene (daschunds), and three cats that we rescued (Jiji, Cleo and Smokey). In high school I worked as a kennel worker at a veterinary hospital for 2 years and love working with animals. I’ve spent some time volunteering at local animal shelters at different places I was stationed with the military. I really enjoy taking dogs on walks and hikes and would love to take care of your pets while you’re away. I’m available for house-sitting, drop in visits and dog walks. I work nights from 8 pm-6:30 am, I’m off 7 days/6 nights in a row every other week, feel free to reach out and I’ll let you know if I work any of the dates you’re interested in. During a week where I work, I would be able to come back to your pet in the morning and feed them breakfast/either go for a walk or hang out a bit. Afterwards I would sleep from roughly 8:30 am-12:30pm. When I wake up at 12:30 I can offer your pet a midday walk/potty break/or just some one on one time. Around 3 pm, I may take a 2-3hr nap, but otherwise I will be free from 12:30 pm until I need to leave for 8 pm shift. If you have questions/concerns with this schedule I’m more than happy to answer them. When I am off I switch back to a normal daytime schedule will be able to spend the day/night with your pet. When watching your pet, I’m there for your pet. If they want to hang out and do nothing, we’ll do that. If they want to go for walks, hikes or adventures, we’ll do that. I can accommodate myself to fit your pet’s needs.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
