About: I've lived with dogs ever since I was twelve years old.I'm very good at taking care of dogs.I've taken care of animals with medical issues. So, i'm pretty confident that I can take care of your dog! I am a pretty available person, i do college online, so I i have lots of time to take care of pets. I would be a great fit for you I care for pets in whatever need myy client needs and whatever they specify. At my home, I take care of pets very carefully. And I am very careful especially in the first few days, when the pets are still stressed out Learning about a new environment
About: Ive grown up with cats and dogs my whole life. I spent a lot of time with my cousin being a breeder taking her dogs to shows, I have learned how to take care of dogs and how to approach the ones that can be a handful at times. I work a full time Monday- friday job but on my lunches I can stop by for check ins and walks and after work as well. Weekends are always open too. If doing check ins I can clean up any accidents and make sure they are fed and have water(depending on feeding schedules) and I always have local parks and routes pre planned for a good walk
About: Raised around dogs (and cats) and would love to care for your pets in my home or yours. Comfortable with senior dogs as well as others. I am retired and available any time. I would need a couple of days' notice, preferably. I live in an apartment with a beautiful dog-walking area and nearby parks to walk in. I no longer have pets of my own, having just lost my 17-year-old Rat Terrier. I am comfortable with all dogs and cats. I can administer medications and make sure they feel safe with me. I don't push, but let them come to me when they feel ready. Separation from you is anxiety-inducing, and I do my best to calm them and let them now they are not alone.
“Carly is very good with my 6mo old puppy, she was prompt and provided real time updates, and left everything as she found it. Will definitely use her in the future. Thank you Carly!”

“Jeannie was wonderful walking my pup Finn. She gave helpful real time information on how he did, was professional and overall someone you can rely on. She kept her cool when my rambunctious pup (1 year old) tested boundaries and tried to jump up on her. By the end of the week working with him he was a different dog and much better behaved. I highly recommend Jeannie and her pets care services!”

“Alex was amazing! Very kind and communicative and Fred was always very happy to see her and came back tired and happy from all their walks. It’s obvious they are an animal lover and knew Fred was in good hands. Alex was able help me out in a last minute pinch and I so appreciate their flexibility!! Would rebook in an instant in the future. Thank you Alex!!”

About: We've always had dogs growing up and I've always been the one who took extra good care of them. Taking her on walks, gifting her special toys, and giving her all the loving she deserves. I've also dog sat for friends and family friends. I am currently a full time student athlete however my schedule is pretty flexible because all of my classes are online. I am pretty free every weekday after 2:30 pm. Saturdays are dependent on whether we have games or not. I available all day on Sundays. I care for my pets by taking them on walks, spending quality time with them, ensuring they have a clean and safe living environment at all times. If we go on walks, I choose routes that are safe and not on busy streets.
About: All of my experiences pet-sitting have been outside of any pet-sitting services/apps and have decided to share my services on Rover! I have a passion for caring for pets! I enjoy learning techniques that different families use when caring for their pets. I enjoy the companionship of pets as much as they enjoy their companionship with humans - learning about each pet's personalities is fun to see! I have plenty of experience being in other people's homes and how to maintain the space I am responsible for and can do light home care (mail, trash, watering plants, etc). pet care integrates seamlessly into my daily schedule. I work primarily remote, so I can easily fit in walks or drop in visits into my schedule. I only care for pets in client's homes - it's a matter of comfortability for the pets, as well as the owners. I take great care of spaces I occupy that are not my own. I'm conscious of home/house responsibilities and how those fit into my work caring for pets in client's homes.
About: Hi, my name is Lauren, I am a 27 year old massage therapist. I have been dog/cat sitting as a part time job for families for 10 years now. I have had dogs and cats all my life and love animals so much. I make sure to be able to take out the dogs enough times a day, feed them, walk them, and play with them. I love walking, running, and playing with all kinds and sizes of dogs. If you want someone who will make sure your animals are loved and safe while you are away I’m your girl! My schedule as a part time massage therapist is very flexible and I will never have to leave the animals alone for more than 6 hours! I respect each owners expectations for how often their dogs/cats need to be fed and let out. Any additional needs of animals will also be respected and done by me!
About: I have taken care of different pets here and there and try to make them as comfortable as possible as well as ensure they are safe in my hands. I have experience with young active dogs as well as senior dogs that require gentle care. I adapt easily and will love your fur baby as much as you do! My schedule is fairly open so I have the ability to be relatively flexible and meet you’re pets needs and accommodate to their schedule or yours. I will make sure your pet is safe and make sure to follow any necessary procedures or guide lines to make sure your pet is safe and cared for properly. I love instructions🫶
About: Hi there! I go by Jackson (previously also gone by Esther), and I have been taking care of pets my whole life. Now I live on my own and would love to care for your sweet pet! I am able to handle very large dogs and am comfortable with cats as well. I grew up with 3 large dogs, and I now have a large dog of my own. I am free most week days, so I am flexible and able to work with your work schedules. I do work early mornings most days, but that won’t stop me from giving your pet the care and attention they deserve. The happiness of animals is so important for me, and I hope to be able to meet your lovely pets! I foster dogs through a great organization so I know how to care for dogs with all kinds of temperaments. I am currently looking to house sit, take care of your pup in my own home, or walk your dog on weekends! I have a sweet dog who loves a playmate, and we'd love to keep your dog company while you're away for a night or two! See my calendar for most up to date availability. I want your pet to be as comfortable and happy as possible while you're out. Whether playing, walking, or just keeping them company, I'd love to take care of your pets to your and their liking.
About: I've been a pet care professional since 2016. It is the best job ever! Dogs are adorable and hilarious, yes, but the part I really love is trying to understand the motivations behind each dog. I know, food and walks, duh! But since adopting my high-anxiety dog 6 years ago, I have realized there is so much more to the doggie brain. Dog park trips are like an anthropological study for me!! I like to think I'm the Jane Goodall of dogs; I'm flattered when they confuse me for one of their own. Living among the canines has come very naturally to me, and frequently worry about the diminishing appeal of the human world. My mother has legitimate concerns that I'll never find a husband. Some have called me a dog whisperer, to which I say "Have you ever met a dog that whispers?" You can think of me more like a translator. Booking with me helps fund my education so that I can one day save the world. My dream is to help troubled kids find the peace and compassion that I have found in my love for animals. I currently work from home and have open availability. If your dog cannot be left alone, they won't be. My own dog does not like to be separated from me, thus I'm comfortable arranging my life around the needs of dogs!! I use extreme care in assessing the environment to experience it the way your dog is, thus better understand behaviors and antecedent cues, and what is reinforcing the behavior.

About: I'm patient, reliable, and love building trust with each pet I meet. All pets get plenty of love, attention, and care while you're away! 🐾 I'm mostly available throughout the weekdays (Mon, Wed, Friday, and Saturdays) anytime frame requested by clients, same day bookings included. Willing to travel long distances. I feed pet according to its diet, I bathe them if clients request, I bond by safely playing with the pet's, also pride myself on keeping their environment clean.

For about six months now, Envee has been Akira's regular dog walker, and she's been brilliant. Akira absolutely loves her walks and the time she gets to spend with Envee. I look forward to the photos after every single walk. Envee always captures the cutest, goofiest pictures of her. Highly recommend!!

From the beginning Coburn was very communicative and pleasant to work with. He listened to our instructions,, gave us some constructive input, and was very accommodating. The pups loved the hour long walk around the neighborhood., Coburn provided an update and a great picture during their walk. I would definitely recommend his services.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
