“Laura did an amazing job with our senior chi mix. She was so gentle and attentive to her needs while keeping us updated while we are away. We will be booking her again in the future!”

About: Ive grown up with cats and dogs my whole life. I spent a lot of time with my cousin being a breeder taking her dogs to shows, I have learned how to take care of dogs and how to approach the ones that can be a handful at times. I work a full time Monday- friday job but on my lunches I can stop by for check ins and walks and after work as well. Weekends are always open too. If doing check ins I can clean up any accidents and make sure they are fed and have water(depending on feeding schedules) and I always have local parks and routes pre planned for a good walk
About: I have worked as a professional dog walker for 5 years. It is the best job ever. Dogs are adorable and hilarious, yes, but the part I really love is trying to understand the motivations behind each dog. I know, food and walks, duh! But since adopting my high-anxiety dog 6 years ago, I have realized there is so much more to the doggie brain. Dog park trips are like an anthropological study for me!! I like to think I'm the Jane Goodall of dogs; I'm flattered when they confuse me for one of their own. Living among the canines has come very naturally to me, and frequently worry about the diminishing appeal of the human world. My mother has legitimate concerns that I'll never find a husband. Some have called me a dog whisperer, to which I say "Have you ever met a dog that whispers?" You can think of me more like a translator. Booking with me helps fund my education so that I can one day save the world. My dream is to help troubled kids find the peace and compassion that I have found in my love for animals. I currently work from home and have open availability. If your dog cannot be left alone, they won't be. My own dog does not like to be separated from me, thus I'm comfortable arranging my life around the needs of dogs!! I use extreme care in assessing the environment to experience it the way your dog is, thus better understand behaviors and antecedent cues, and what is reinforcing the behavior.
“Jeannie was wonderful walking my pup Finn. She gave helpful real time information on how he did, was professional and overall someone you can rely on. She kept her cool when my rambunctious pup (1 year old) tested boundaries and tried to jump up on her. By the end of the week working with him he was a different dog and much better behaved. I highly recommend Jeannie and her pets care services!”

“Akira had her first walk with Envee and it was great! Envee was punctual, professional and sent some fun pictures of Akira enjoying her walk. Akira is looking forward to more walks with Envee.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 8, from newborn puppies to senior dogs with special needs. I love playing fetch, cuddling on the couch for quiet time as well as running around together in the terraced backyard. If you’re looking for a mini summer camp for your pup, no matter their size or age, you’ve found the right place! I work from home as an artist with 2 small dogs that love meeting new friends! I’m home Monday- Friday and several weekends each month. I also have a separate living room for your cat where it will have the run of the place without other pets. I don’t have children, I have dogs. They sleep in the bedroom and I take them everywhere; camping, roadtrips, and I’ve even taken them abroad with me for vacation!

About: Hi, I'm Sam. I have loved animals all my life and wanted to be a zookeeper in 5th grade. I have previously worked in a vet's office where I walked many different dogs twice a day, as well as a doggie daycare called Wags and Wiggles down in Orange County where I supervised many dogs at once and managed their play. I’m currently a stay at home mom taking care of my 18 month old son and have a flexible schedule weekdays. I’m a former teacher. About: I’ve had cats and dogs my whole life and have been pet sitting for friends and family for over 7 years. I have experience with walking up to three dogs, drop ins and overnights, administering oral medications on a time sensitive schedule, and providing structure for rambunctious puppies. I love playing fetch in the yard just as much as cuddling on the couch. I look forward to meeting your fur babies! I’m currently a student taking online classes and working part time 1-2 days a week in the early morning. I have a very open and flexible schedule. I will take dogs into a fenced yard or go on walks regularly, provide enrichment with toys and treats, following mealtime schedules, and basic cleanup around the house including scooping poop in the yard.

She continually goes above and beyond to provide loving personalized care, and it’s such a relief to know our dog is in such good and capable hands when we’re out and she’s with Lauryn. About: Hi there! I go by Jackson, and I have been taking care of pets my whole life, and now I live on my own and would love to care for your sweet pet! I am able to handle very large dogs and am comfortable with cats as well. I grew up with 3 large dogs, and I now have a large dog of my own. I am free most week days, so I am flexible and able to work with your work schedules. I do work early mornings most days, but that won’t stop me from giving your pet the care and attention they deserve. The happiness of animals is so important for me, and I hope to be able to meet your lovely pets! I foster dogs through a great organization so I know how to care for dogs with all kinds of temperaments. I am currently looking to house sit, take care of your pup in my own home, or walk your doggy! I work remotely so I have the flexibility to care for your dog while you're away! “Laurel is amazing! We have a highly reactive dog and after meeting the dog only a few times, Laurel was able to confidently work with our dog (even able to get her collar on - something other people cant usually do!) Highly recommend Laurel!”

About: Growing up in Alaska, I was surrounded by a pack of 12+ dogs, which gave me hands-on experience caring for animals from an early age. I helped feed, clean, supervise, and create safe, enriching environments for each of them. As an adult, I’ve expanded that same level of care and attention to cats as well, including experience supporting senior pets and providing gentle hospice and end-of-life care for both dogs and cats. I deeply value the comfort, dignity, and quality of life of every animal I care for. It would be an honor to help care for your beloved four-legged family member with patience, compassion, and attentiveness. With a flexible weekly schedule supported by my household situation, I’m able to devote consistent time and attention to pet care, ensuring reliable visits and attentive, compassionate care for your pets. I offer loving, reliable care in both my home and my clients’ homes, always working to keep pets comfortable, safe, and as close to their normal routine as possible. I adapt to each animal’s personality and needs to ensure they feel secure and well cared for in any environment.

For about six months now, Envee has been Akira's regular dog walker, and she's been brilliant. Akira absolutely loves her walks and the time she gets to spend with Envee. I look forward to the photos after every single walk. Envee always captures the cutest, goofiest pictures of her. Highly recommend!!

From the beginning Coburn was very communicative and pleasant to work with. He listened to our instructions,, gave us some constructive input, and was very accommodating. The pups loved the hour long walk around the neighborhood., Coburn provided an update and a great picture during their walk. I would definitely recommend his services.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
