Currently, I am a psychotherapist building up my private practice, and I have a lot of free time as I still grow. More time for all the dogs and cats! :) Being able to pet sit is a real treat, as it’s a great way to get time with furry friends, see some lovely parts of our city while on walks with pups, and also make a little extra money as I grow a business. I am free for pet/house sitting most days, including weekends and overnights. I have a policy of treating your home with the same care that I would my own space, and I’m happy to help with other home tasks like mail / trash / watering plants etc. I generally am out and about most days staying active, growing my business, networking, and exploring — though I am always happy for days in if that’s what a particular pet or home needs. The details of what your pup/pet requires are important to me as a caregiver, so working that out beforehand ensures all parties are happy and get what they need.

Safety, trust & environment

Right now, I am unable to host pets at my own house; but I am happy to house sit, do check-ins, or travel to work with the schedule you’re needing, depending on the requirements. Trust is very important to me, as I believe it’s the foundation for providing good care. 🙏🏼 Some things I find help for building trust if I am going to be in your home: •Good communication — you can bet I’ll be happy to send you daily check-ins and updates about how your fur baby is doing. I also ask for transparency in communication about your expectations. •Vacuum and some cleaning supplies at your home, as well as clean linens/sheets/towels, etc. •A home set-up that has a few necessities like WiFi, a comfy place to sit, a working fridge and basic kitchen tools, etc. •Clarity about your pets’ needs: what they like, how their schedule is preferred, which medications they may need, and more.

Information Coburn C. would like to know about your pet

Please be sure to let me know about your pet’s care needs ahead of time — specifically any medications, schedule requirements, likes and dislikes, and fears. I also like to know about their favorite treats and how they are with other animals we may encounter on a walk, of course. Trust is the first step to good care! :)

A typical day

I love to show pups a fun and energetic time. We’ll play, go on walks, find a fun park, and definitely cap off our time with some snuggles. With cats, I love to show affection with a little playtime and some cuddles, following their lead of course.

Pet care experience

Howdy all, I’m a cat dad, dog’s bff, animal lover, and pet guy through-and-through. From growing up with various pets since I was a kid, to numerous pet-care gigs for friends through my adult life, I love all the time I can get with our furry friends. First and foremost, I am a relational guy (after all, I do run my own psychotherapy practice as my day job! 😅) — and I believe dogs and cats are some of our best teachers in this regard. Just as I would with my friends, family, or clients, I seek to bring attention and attunement to my time with pets, curious about how to connect with them, engaged when I need to be, and allowing for space when it’s desired and helpful. I love caring for animals, walks and cuddles included! And of course, building trust is the first step to good care — I’m always happy to do a meet-up and see if we’re a good fit for a dog walk, kitty drop-in, or any other type of pet/house sit! :)

From the beginning Coburn was very communicative and pleasant to work with. He listened to our instructions,, gave us some constructive input, and was very accommodating. The pups loved the hour long walk around the neighborhood., Coburn provided an update and a great picture during their walk. I would definitely recommend his services.

Coburn was an outstanding pet sitter, and we would highly recommend him. He completed a 7-day/7-night house sit for us, and we were continually impressed by his love of animals, communication, and attention to detail. From the start, he was responsive, asked thoughtful questions, and took the time to thoroughly review our care instructions. While we were away, he checked in regularly with photos and updates. We have a large dog (80 lbs and leash-reactive), two cats, and two frogs. He ensured each pet received individualized attention and kept our routines running smoothly. We came home to very happy animals and a clean house. We would absolutely book Coburn again.
