When I am hired to do a job, I treat the pets I'm caring for like they are my own. They get lots of cuddles, attention, and love. If I am in a client's home, I treat it with nothing but respect.

About: With 10+ years of experience in pet care and 9 years of hands-on professional work tending to their care & hygiene needs, I bring a deep understanding of the communication & behavior of our 4-legged companions. It is truly one of my life’s missions to help our familiars feel safe, happy, and understood. Whether it’s a walk, playtime, or simply reassurance, your dog will always be treated with patience, love, and expert care. I've got that "animal whisperer" type of 'tism. 😋 Over the years many dogs & cats of all life stages have come into my care, to some capacity. This has led to experience with successfully redirecting a wide range of behaviors such as reactivity & stress obsessions to repeatedly pawing you in the face cause i love you so much & please keep petting meeee!! I've participated in puppy training, training of all life stages, played the medication dances.. there is slim chance i haven't done it at least once, when i comes to dogs. p.s. After i meet your dog i will likely come home wishing i could take them with me... 😉 but i won't.. promise. I am grateful to work from home. Being tied to one less location creates space for me to tend to your dogs needs & mine with ease. My work days start later in the morning & i don't work past 7pm. This means i have plenty of time to comfortably get yours pups day started & wound down during the week. I take safety and emotional well-being seriously. I’m highly aware of canine body language & individual preferences & I tailor my approach to each pets needs. On walks, I use consistent safety measures such as shielding your dog from unfamiliar humans or animals & steering clear of potential stressors. My priority is creating an environment where your dog feels protected and understood—and where you can trust that their safety is always at the forefront.
“Carly is very good with my 6mo old puppy, she was prompt and provided real time updates, and left everything as she found it. Will definitely use her in the future. Thank you Carly!”

About: Life has always meant enjoying dog relationships. Dogs visiting here at Twin Spruce Cottage are treated as if they are my own, enjoying a home setting & an attentive human. My initial posting with Rover.com was years ago. At that time circumstances changed so it wasn't until this last summer of 2025, that I happily began to board dogs again. I was raised to understand dog behavior and to be comfortable around all types of dogs. Our last dog was 110 lbs of gorgeous (& alpha) Flatcoated English Retreiver. He passed at 14. Now retired full time, I volunteer with dogs when I have the opportunity. I understand how to identify dog behaviors & work with them. I was a volunteer at a canine rescue program from 2001 through 2016, working both in the facility and fostering dogs who were waiting placement. I am capable of handling all sizes of dogs & willing to adjust to the individual needs of your dog. I have a dog friendly yard and do walks each day to keep them busy. There are comfy, upholstered large dog beds to lounge on and toys for play. I also am available for dog walking near me in Skyway WA. Unfortunately, dogs with special needs, unspayed females or dogs who require medication be given are not accepted. I am retiree who walks daily ~ without my own dog these days. Dog walks are provided in daylight hours and are available by appointment. Schedule availability varies. I have a fenced yard which is dog friendly with room to run, lots of shade trees & some artificial turf developed especially for dogs. When in the house no dogs on furniture or beds but comfy dog beds are waiting. Dog guests who are boarding are walked 45-60 minutes per day which is included in daily rates. Your dog will be the only dog in my care while boarding > unless your family has 2 dogs you wish to board. There is a maximum of 2 dogs in care. Daycare is available. For further information on daycare, please contact me. Dog walking is also available, in my local area. Inquiries are welcome.
“Alex was great at communicating and went above and beyond to help watch my house while I was out of town. Great with my animals and keeping the house in good shape!”

“Patrick is prompt and will check- in and notify me of schedule changes. My dog is weary of strangers and Patrick had no hesitation to meet Boba first with a trial run. Patrick sends me check-in photos and videos and has become part of my dogs "pack". She can tell he is of good nature which makes me put my utmost trust in Patrick and I am so grateful to have him as a consistent dog walker when I'm away for long days at work.”

About: I am patient, caring, respectful, and loving with cats. I've helped feed 2-week-old kittens by the bottle, as well as feeding geriatric cats by syringe in their last days. I'm starting my own business and have time throughout the week while business picks up. I also have kids to take to and from school, but that's why the midday time works well for me. I have a fenced in yard, 2 dogs, and 5 rabbits that I care for. They all have different personalities and learning to feed, play, and interact with each animal takes a different approach. I enjoy learning about animals and meeting their unique needs.
About: My mission is to offer a secure, clean, enjoyable, nurturing environment for your beloved pets, and choosing quality over quantity is essential, so your pets receives the attention, care, and comfort they deserve. With a lifelong love for animals, including dogs, cats, birds, and more, I'm here to ensure their well-being during your absence. I'll engage them in play, provide nourishing meals, and take them for daily walks to keep them active and happy. I take great pleasure in daily walks through our picturesque neighborhood and would make an excellent, fun, and compassionate companion for your beloved pets. Our home radiates cleanliness and warmth, boasting a spacious foyer equipped with cozy beds and toys for your beloved pets. Additionally, our generous front and backyard provide ample space for their enjoyment.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Bryn Mawr-Skyway
Nikki has sat for our dogs many times. She is always very responsible and answers inquiries promptly. She is very warm and friendly. She interacts appropriately with our dogs. One of our dogs has dementia and she gives her medications and takes care of her special needs. We trust her completely with our dogs.

We’ve used Emily quite a few times to care for our dogs while we’re out of town, and she’s been wonderful! She is always right on time and is so great with our dogs. We especially appreciate all the pictures she sends and the updates about how they did on their walks—it’s so nice to know they’re happy and well cared for while we’re away. We will absolutely continue to use Emily and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone reliable and caring for their pets!

Mashayla was fantastic with Ace! She walked him for us while we were out for the evening, and the whole experience was seamless. She was punctual, communicative, and sent us a great update along with photos, which we loved receiving. It was clear she took great care of Ace and genuinely loves animals. Knowing Ace was in such good hands allowed us to enjoy our evening without worrying, and we really appreciated the extra effort she put into keeping us updated. We came home to a happy, relaxed pup, which says it all. We would definitely book with Mashayla again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, kind, and trustworthy dog walker!

Mikaela was amazing!!!!!! After meeting her I knew there was no stressing about her taking care of our pets!! She was very calm and accommodating for our last minute booking. Our pets loved her and we would definitely recommend her to anyone we know. Would love Mikaela to watch our pets any day!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
