Availability
I currently work part-time as a home care aide for people with disabilities, the elderly & hospice patients, with shifts that are 3-4 hours long. This schedule allows me to provide pet care in the morning, late afternoon, evening and overnight. I do my best to keep my booking calendar here up to date & respond to inquiries in a timely manner.

Safety, trust & environment
I stick to the routine that helps each pet feel comfortable and safe. This typically looks like 1-2 walks a day if applicable and food morning & night, fresh water twice a day and playtime for at least 20 minutes, following any special instructions the owner may have for maintaining the well-being of their fur baby. As any pet owner comes to find out, the care given to pets is generally reciprocated tenfold through their affection, presence and admirable idiosyncrasies. Since I don’t have pets of my own at this time, the opportunity to care for another’s beloved fur baby is one that I greatly appreciate & approach with necessary responsibility.

Information Katia F. would like to know about your pet
I will want to know any information about your dog and their preferences, triggers and in general - favorite activities that promote their vitality and wellbeing. No such thing as too much information in my world.
A typical day
I love to go on explorations around the neighborhood & local area with the dogs I watch as well as play games that are mentally stimulating and create a sense of trust / bonding with the dog and myself. I typically base the activities I do with the dog upon what they’re comfortable with and enjoy doing. No two pets are the same and It’s important to me that the pets in my care feel safe, comfortable and protected.

Gentle dog-lover here to help!
Pet care experience
I have special interest and experience working with reactive and/or senior dogs who may require a high level of care and sensitivity. I had the pleasure of working with many dogs here on Rover while I was in school and in recent years have been off this platform caring for my childhood dog Peanut, who was in his senior years managing lung cancer. I have a wide range of experience with different breeds, sizes, ages and behaviors. I grew up with dogs and have worked as a caretaker on a handful of farms. My work experience and temperament allows me to be patient, detail-oriented, and resourceful.
Reviews

Katia was great! Punctual and communicative and lovely with our dog.

Katia is so reliant, leaves the house clean and dogs tired. Thanks for loving our pups while we were gone!

Katia was wonderful with our dog Sophie! They went on a little adventure and Sophie was tired out when I got home, which was great!

Katia did a great job with Zeke. She made sure to understand his triggers and knew his usual routines. Zeke was super comfortable around her, and enjoyed the extra attention!
