“Hillary did great with our pup, she was incredibly responsive and very accommodating with our early morning drop-off times for daycare, and she kept us updated on how he was doing throughout the day.”

“Thank you Cheryl for taking such good care of Molly and also crating her, as requested. She had the best day playing with your pup and also being loved on. Epic levels of photos and updates throughout the day which was above and beyond!”

About: I'm the person everyone in my life calls when they go out of town — not because I'm just a "dog lover," but because the people closest to me know their dog is in the best possible hands with me. That trust has been earned, and I don't take it lightly. What sets me apart is that I'm educated in dog behavior. I understand body language, breed-specific needs, and I take the time to actually learn your dog — how they communicate, and what they need to thrive. Every dog is different and I treat them that way. I have a dog of my own, so I know firsthand what it feels like to leave your dog with someone else. I understand that your dog is an extension of you, and I bring that same level of care and intention to every dog I look after. While dogs are not my full-time job, I worked for a friend’s successful dog-hiking and boarding company, and through that I gained much of my dog boarding experience. I now have a small but steady roster of my own personal clients. When you leave your dog with me, you're not just hiring a sitter — you're leaving them with someone who genuinely puts their needs. Pet care fits seamlessly into my routine because I work remotely from home and I'm not tied to a desk. Your dog won't be waiting around for attention- they'll be folded right into the full, active day I already keep with my own dog, Charlie. I walk 5 miles a day, rain or shine. The only exception is extreme heat, but rain never stops us. Here's what a typical day looks like: Morning: Before I start work, the dogs get fed and then we head out for a 3-mile morning walk around the neighborhood. After the walk, they're free to burn off any remaining energy in my fully fenced backyard. Afternoon: Around 2-3pm we head out for a second walk. Evening: After dinner, we take one last short neighborhood walk before settling in for the night. In between it's all rest and play, however your dog prefers to spend it. In my experience, dogs slot right into this routine and love it - but I'm always happy to adjust based on your dog's individual needs. When your dog is in my home, they're treated like they're my own- because that's genuinely how I approach it. My backyard is fully fenced and dog-safe, free of harmful plants or obstacles, with both sunny and shaded spots so they can settle wherever they're most comfortable. Inside, there's plenty of space for your dog to spread out and make themselves at home. There's a cozy dog bed in the living room, OR room for your dog's own bed if they're more comfortable with something familiar. Beyond that, dogs are welcome on the living room couch, the loveseat in my office, the couch downstairs in the basement, and the guest bedroom. The only place that's off limits is my personal bed, but outside of that, they're free to nap and rest wherever they feel most at ease. If you prefer your dog to be crated, I'm happy to accommodate that too- whatever makes your dog feel most secure and at home. I believe dogs settle best when they feel like they belong in the space. That's the environment I try to create.
About: I have had dogs of varying sizes and temperaments. from a docile Pitbull who loved to make a friend on the street to a tiny Chihuahua who is a true dog’s dog. I have gone through potty training and basic command this year with my dog, so I’m very familiar with sticking to training! I’m currently working an hybrid schedule and I have plenty of time to be your pet’s new pal! With a flexible schedule, I am able to meet the needs of many pets. Whether that’s more frequent potty breaks or going to their weekly park date. For those staying in my home, either my wife or I are usually home during the day. Our dog just vibes out wherever while we work from home. Dogs are allowed on furniture. I am all about keeping pets on their schedule as best as possible. I like continuity of what’s the norm for them. If they have strict meal and potty times I will follow them. If they love an enrichment adventure or puzzle I’ll get that all set up! I’ll take plenty of fun pictures with silly captions to keep you up to date!

“Marina and Richards Family is the best! We are so lucky we found them. They are super flexible and always willing to watch Bear. They always send the cutest pictures of Bear and send updates. Bear is always excited to see them and exhausted when he comes home. We will always rebook with them! Highly recommend Marina and her family!!”

“Another fantastic daycare stay with Tamar and her pack. I have tried many doggy daycare and nothing comes close to this -- a trip to the park, being around humans/family, and nonstop play with dogs in a safe, clean environment. ”

“Natalie has been day sitting my pup for over 6 months and I can’t say enough good things. My girl always comes home tired and happy, and she starts getting excited as we’re approaching Natalie’s house from miles away. Her communication is clear and consistent and even now after 6 months, I get daily pictures, putting my mind at ease each visit. Clearly she really cares about all the pets she cares for. She also doesn’t take too many dogs at a time and always alerts me if there’s a dog that may be a challenge for mi e so I can decide before the visit how to handle it”

About: I’m stepping away from tech end of April to pursue my interests, and one of them is becoming a dog auntie or mom (fingers crossed!). I’ve got two wonderful older kids who’ll be at school most of the day (I share drop-offs and pick-ups with my husband), and then we’ll head to their sports in the early evening. In the day, I’ll be hitting the gym, taking walks, cooking, and diving into my hobbies. I’m usually at home most of the day unless I need to run an errand or have an appointment. I’m a friendly, tidy, and organized person who’s patient, nurturing, and loving. I live in a lovely house with a fenced yard (except for car entrance). I don’t have any pets myself, but I love helping friends with theirs. I’ve also been a temporary home for a rescue puppy while their family was away. I am leaving my full-time job and will have more free time. I typically am free after 8:30 AM M-F. Could do weekends for folks who travel if requesting in advance I have a fence yard (except for car entrance) in a dog friendly neighborhood. I have hardwood floors on my top floor, where I will be majority of the time. I don’t mind going to another home for a pick up and drop off however, I would prefer my home as I want to be able to pick up and drop off my kids when needed.

I believe that every dog deserves love, attention, and a safe environment, which is what I strive to provide as a dog sitter. I understand the unique needs and behaviors of different breeds and can adapt my care accordingly. Whether it's a playful pup or a senior dog needing extra care, I'm dedicated to ensuring their well-being. While I am always happy to sit your dog in your home, I am fortunate to also offer boarding at my home. I have an amazing pack who LOVE visitors. My large yard is FULLY fenced with 8ft fencing (no gaps or escape spots). We love to frequent the dog parks in the area (only if permission is granted from visiting dog owner), go for long walks, or just snuggle on the couch. I hope to meet your pup soon! I own my own business and have complete control of my own schedule. Therefore, I am able to take care of your pets during normal 9-5 business hours, holidays, weekends, or even into the evening! I have a quarter acre, 6-8ft high fenced yard that dogs LOVE to run around in. We have a very easy going pack of 3 dogs that get along with all visitors! I also have a vet on call for any consults needed in case of emergency. When I am in a client's home, I am diligent about scheduled walks, medication, and meals. I always ensure the home is left as clean, if not cleaner, than when I arrived. I always strive to treat a house/dog sitting job in the manner that I would want my sitter to treat my own home.
“Alex has taken great care of my dog while I've been at work. She made sure he was comfortable, got along with with the other dogs, and gave him all the love and attention he wanted.”

“I am grateful for Patrick! He gives Sassy a lot of exercise and attention, which she loves. It’s so nice that he sends pictures throughout the day, so I can see what she’s up to. Highly recommend this kind, communicative, and flexible person.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Bryn Mawr-Skyway
I am so grateful to have found Morgan, and he took excellent care of our puppy while we were in town for a few days. Our 5 month old pup is very exuberant and this was her first doggy daycare experience. Morgan was kind and patient and helped her learn how to be respectful around other dogs. He also shared some great suggestions and tips with me to support her ongoing training. If we lived in the Seattle area, we would be regulars. Highly recommend!

Jenny was fantastic. We booked a last-minute dogsit session for our energetic Frenchie. We were nervous as it was the first time we’d left our dog with anyone since adopting her a few months ago. Jenny set up a meet and greet at her home for a few days before and let my dog meet her dogs; she has a great fenced in yard for the dogs to be out in and a safe and climate controlled home. Jenny was responsive and paid attention to all our special requests and gave us photos and updates on a regular basis so we could see how our dog was doing, which was reassuring and helpful to calm my own nerves! Our pup had a great time socializing with her resident dogs, was safe and well looked after. We were very pleased and would absolutely trust her to watch our high energy wild child again.

We just completed Mello’s second daycare stay with Cheryl, four days after her first visit, and it went just as well as the first! It has been wonderful to see Mello becoming more comfortable and confident in Cheryl’s care. As a dog with anxiety, we were especially happy to hear that Mello showed very few anxiety-related behaviors during her stay. Mello had a great time spending the day with the other dogs and enjoyed exploring the neighborhood on walks. Cheryl continued to provide plenty of updates and photos throughout the day, which gave us peace of mind and allowed us to see how much fun Mello was having. We really appreciate Cheryl’s attentiveness, communication, and genuine care for Mello’s well-being.

When I realized as I arrived that the girls trip was at an apartment and not a home, Carlos and Kelly legitimately saved the day. I was worried about my pup being overwhelmed with the noises of everyday life in a building while we were away on outings. With literally no notice we were able to set up a meet and greet and instead of changing the entire trip, or me being overwhelmed worrying, my dog had a blast with them at day care for the entire week. It felt like leaving him with friends, he was so regulated and relaxed in their home. He walked in like he had been there a million times and was a worn out baby at pickup. I was so well informed and got some awesome pictures that I will be saving. On top of that, Carlos worked with Jasper and experimented with different training to help me with his energy and excitement, an added value well above what I invested in Jaspers care for the week. I will be booking with this lovely pair every visit into the city going forward and they are very appreciated.

Nyah had a great time with Kevin! She instantly liked him at the meet and greet and Kevin sent lots of pictures of Nyah on walks, cuddling and looking very comfortable and happy during her stay. Kevin was very accommodating when our travel plans changed unexpectedly. We will certainly book again and would highly recommend.

Kaleigh was so great! She is so kind and followed everything we asked of her to in order to take care of our 6 month old Bernedoodle puppy. She also sent plenty of photos and updates through the day. Gouda loved her and was excited to see her when she came and got him. Would love to work with her again!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Bryn Mawr-Skyway commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
