“Natalie is great!!! She watched Kenny for doggie day care for a few days while I was at work- I love that she sent photos throughout the day, and also that Kenny was tired after a great day when I picked him up! She has a fully fenced yard that I know he loves playing in. Natalie is very responsive and was happy to watch Kenny for longer hours due to my work schedule. We will definitely be back! 😄”

“My puppy was nervous when he first arrived from the sound airplanes overhead, but he warmed up and even made a friend! I loved the photos and really appreciated the update at the end of his visit, and that they introduced him to a chill dog to start. I’m looking forward for bringing him back to make more dog friends”

About: I have had dogs of varying sizes and temperaments. from a docile Pitbull who loved to make a friend on the street to a tiny Chihuahua who is a true dog’s dog. I have gone through potty training and basic command this year with my dog, so I’m very familiar with sticking to training! I’m currently working an hybrid schedule and I have plenty of time to be your pet’s new pal! With a flexible schedule, I am able to meet the needs of many pets. Whether that’s more frequent potty breaks or going to their weekly park date. For those staying in my home, either my wife or I are usually home during the day. Our dog just vibes out wherever while we work from home. Dogs are allowed on furniture. I am all about keeping pets on their schedule as best as possible. I like continuity of what’s the norm for them. If they have strict meal and potty times I will follow them. If they love an enrichment adventure or puzzle I’ll get that all set up! I’ll take plenty of fun pictures with silly captions to keep you up to date!

This includes feeding, fresh water, potty breaks or walks, playtime, lots of love and attention, and, of course, plenty of cuddles if they enjoy them. About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 8, from newborn puppies to senior dogs with special needs. I love playing fetch, cuddling on the couch for quiet time as well as running around together in the terraced backyard. If you’re looking for a mini summer camp for your pup, no matter their size or age, you’ve found the right place! I work from home as an artist with 2 small dogs that love meeting new friends! I’m home Monday- Friday and several weekends each month. I also have a separate living room for your cat where it will have the run of the place without other pets. I don’t have children, I have dogs. They sleep in the bedroom and I take them everywhere; camping, roadtrips, and I’ve even taken them abroad with me for vacation!
“I’m a repeat client of Chuk’s and couldn’t be happier with the care she provides for my senior dog. She’s incredibly kind, communicative, and always goes out of her way to make sure my dog is comfortable and well cared for. It’s such a relief knowing my pup is in such good hands. Chuk is also very accommodating and easy to work with. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and compassionate sitter!”

“Thank you Cheryl for taking such good care of Molly and also crating her, as requested. She had the best day playing with your pup and also being loved on. Epic levels of photos and updates throughout the day which was above and beyond!”

About: I'm the person everyone in my life calls when they go out of town — not because I'm just a "dog lover," but because the people closest to me know their dog is in the best possible hands with me. That trust has been earned, and I don't take it lightly. What sets me apart is that I'm educated in dog behavior. I understand body language, breed-specific needs, and I take the time to actually learn your dog — how they communicate, and what they need to thrive. Every dog is different and I treat them that way. I have a dog of my own, so I know firsthand what it feels like to leave your dog with someone else. I understand that your dog is an extension of you, and I bring that same level of care and intention to every dog I look after. While dogs are not my full-time job, I worked for a friend’s successful dog-hiking and boarding company, and through that I gained much of my dog boarding experience. I now have a small but steady roster of my own personal clients. When you leave your dog with me, you're not just hiring a sitter — you're leaving them with someone who genuinely puts their needs. Pet care fits seamlessly into my routine because I work remotely from home and I'm not tied to a desk. Your dog won't be waiting around for attention- they'll be folded right into the full, active day I already keep with my own dog, Charlie. I walk 5 miles a day, rain or shine. The only exception is extreme heat, but rain never stops us. Here's what a typical day looks like: Morning: Before I start work, the dogs get fed and then we head out for a 3-mile morning walk around the neighborhood. After the walk, they're free to burn off any remaining energy in my fully fenced backyard. Afternoon: Around 2-3pm we head out for a second walk. Evening: After dinner, we take one last short neighborhood walk before settling in for the night. In between it's all rest and play, however your dog prefers to spend it. In my experience, dogs slot right into this routine and love it - but I'm always happy to adjust based on your dog's individual needs. When your dog is in my home, they're treated like they're my own- because that's genuinely how I approach it. My backyard is fully fenced and dog-safe, free of harmful plants or obstacles, with both sunny and shaded spots so they can settle wherever they're most comfortable. Inside, there's plenty of space for your dog to spread out and make themselves at home. There's a cozy dog bed in the living room, OR room for your dog's own bed if they're more comfortable with something familiar. Beyond that, dogs are welcome on the living room couch, the loveseat in my office, the couch downstairs in the basement, and the guest bedroom. The only place that's off limits is my personal bed, but outside of that, they're free to nap and rest wherever they feel most at ease. If you prefer your dog to be crated, I'm happy to accommodate that too- whatever makes your dog feel most secure and at home. I believe dogs settle best when they feel like they belong in the space. That's the environment I try to create.
“Angelica was great! She watched my dog Wilbur for a week of doggy daycare. She sent photos and was really flexible with my pickup time which I appreciated. Plus her pup and mine got along great. Would definitely have her watch him again!”

“Such a wonderful feeling when you finally found a great sitter for your pup! Zoie has never been this happy being away from me! It only goes to show that Daisha and Tam did a fabulous job of caring for and treating my pup like their own. I would definitely use their services again and highly recommended.”

“Hannah was amazing. This was Kongees first time away from home and she suffered from severe separation anxiety. Hannah handled it very well and showered her with love to help her feel better.”

“Donna and her husband welcomed my senior 18 year old mini schnauzer with open arms! I had to work 14 hour day, 2 days in a row, and they took care of him like they were his family. I’ve never met such a nice sitter combo! They have a yard which my dog loved! My dog is a lot of work and they took the best care of him! Their dog mushu was the sweetest dog and played with buddy so gently. They sent many updates and pictures and videos which made me so happy and knew he was in good hands. Thank you!!!”

About: I have worked as a professional dog walker for 5 years. It is the best job ever. Dogs are adorable and hilarious, yes, but the part I really love is trying to understand the motivations behind each dog. I know, food and walks, duh! But since adopting my high-anxiety dog 6 years ago, I have realized there is so much more to the doggie brain. Dog park trips are like an anthropological study for me!! I like to think I'm the Jane Goodall of dogs; I'm flattered when they confuse me for one of their own. Living among the canines has come very naturally to me, and frequently worry about the diminishing appeal of the human world. My mother has legitimate concerns that I'll never find a husband. Some have called me a dog whisperer, to which I say "Have you ever met a dog that whispers?" You can think of me more like a translator. Booking with me helps fund my education so that I can one day save the world. My dream is to help troubled kids find the peace and compassion that I have found in my love for animals. I currently work from home and have open availability. If your dog cannot be left alone, they won't be. My own dog does not like to be separated from me, thus I'm comfortable arranging my life around the needs of dogs!! I use extreme care in assessing the environment to experience it the way your dog is, thus better understand behaviors and antecedent cues, and what is reinforcing the behavior.
About: I treat each pup like part of the family—whether that means sticking closely to your dog’s routine, giving extra cuddles, or providing gentle care for seniors or high-energy playtime for puppies. My home is safe, calm, and dog-friendly, with plenty of room to relax or play. I send regular updates and photos, so you can enjoy your time away knowing your pup is in loving hands. As a retiree, pet care is truly a part of my everyday life—and something I genuinely enjoy. Since I’m home full-time, your dog will never be left alone for long periods and will receive constant attention, companionship, and care throughout the day. My daily routine is built around keeping dogs happy and comfortable, from morning walks and playtime to relaxed afternoons and evening cuddles. I keep a calm, quiet home where dogs can feel safe and relaxed, and I’m always available for feeding, potty breaks, or just spending quality time with them. When pets stay in my home, I treat them like one of the family. I follow their normal routine as closely as possible—including feeding schedules, walk times, play habits, and bedtime routines—to help them feel safe, comfortable, and relaxed. My home is clean, quiet, and dog-friendly, with plenty of space for lounging, supervised playtime, and cozy naps. I give each dog plenty of personal attention throughout the day, whether that means going for walks, playing fetch, or just offering a warm lap to curl up on. If your dog needs medication, special meals, or extra care (like for puppies or seniors), I handle it all with patience and attention to detail. I also keep pet parents updated with regular messages and photos, so you can rest easy knowing your pup is in good hands.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Tukwila
Jenny was fantastic. We booked a last-minute dogsit session for our energetic Frenchie. We were nervous as it was the first time we’d left our dog with anyone since adopting her a few months ago. Jenny set up a meet and greet at her home for a few days before and let my dog meet her dogs; she has a great fenced in yard for the dogs to be out in and a safe and climate controlled home. Jenny was responsive and paid attention to all our special requests and gave us photos and updates on a regular basis so we could see how our dog was doing, which was reassuring and helpful to calm my own nerves! Our pup had a great time socializing with her resident dogs, was safe and well looked after. We were very pleased and would absolutely trust her to watch our high energy wild child again.

Kaleigh was so great! She is so kind and followed everything we asked of her to in order to take care of our 6 month old Bernedoodle puppy. She also sent plenty of photos and updates through the day. Gouda loved her and was excited to see her when she came and got him. Would love to work with her again!

Thank you so so much for taking such excellent care of my little nut case. I really appreciate all the communication and tailoring to her first day jitters. Your pups were so wonderful and I love to see Reya fall in with a pack of dogs who get her. I hope they'll get to have some more playdates soon!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Tukwila commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
