“Thank you Cheryl for taking such good care of Molly and also crating her, as requested. She had the best day playing with your pup and also being loved on. Epic levels of photos and updates throughout the day which was above and beyond!”

“Vanessa took such a good care of our dog. She sent tons of photos during the day and kept us updated on their routine and on my dog’s behavior. She has really cute kids that look like great around dogs and love to give them pets. She is very sweet and responsive, and I will totally recommend her.”

“Hyeyoung K. was absolutely wonderful! She is so sweet and made our pups feel right at home! This was a new experience for Remi and Ruger. Hyeyoung K. was so pleasant and easy to talk to, which gave us peace of mind leaving them with her for the day. She also sent many adorable photos, videos and updates of our pups, which we loved and appreciated! In addition, she was very flexible and accomodating in regards to drop off and pickup, which was helpful. Her pup, Happy, is also sweet and enjoyed having a playdate. We highly recommend her and her family if you need someone to watch over your furry friends.”

About: We have been caring for dogs for many years. Starting from puppies to full grown dogs over the years and know how to understand what a dog needs for a healthy, happy, and full life. Aharon works from home most of the time. With just one dog at home it would be easy to add another. It’s easy to add another to the pack! We take our dogs outside for exercise twice a day and have play sessions in between. We have 1200 sqft of interior space for the dogs to play and chill with a fenced backyard. There’s also a dog park almost right in our backyard where we go to all the time. The area is residential and lots of families around that know us.
“Jay and Xinyu were amazing. Right from the meet and greet, they had set a very reassuring tone to our expectations. They were meticulous about taking notes about Maya's needs and requirements. Maya had such an amazing time with them and she was very well taken care of. They are DEFINITELY dog people. They also sent us regular updates and were very communicative. Will definitely reach out to them again whenever travels come up. Thank you guys!!!”

About: As a dedicated owner of two mini-doodles who live an active lifestyle with 3 walks a day + 1 long walk/playtime/socialization in the evening, I enjoy providing them a structured, engaging, and loving environment. I live in a vibrant, nature-surrounded complex with a public park, so your dog won't run out of places to explore. We offer a home-away-from-home experience, treating your dog as our own and ensure your family member receives 2 times the love and 100% personalized attention while you're away 🐾 My husband and I both work from home so we can guarantee your dog will have company. My dogs are potty trained and we take them out 4x a day - we prefer dogs who potties outside. Not willing to take in dogs who can't hold it for 4 hours/potty indoors, I am here to watch after your dog, and NOT clean up after accidents. I always pay close attention to my dogs, to ensure they are comfortable and happy. I will ensure that your dog is safe & comfortable during their stay.
About: Private home boarding. One client at a time. Every stay feels like a vacation with personalized care for your dog. Your dog is not one of many guests. They are our only guest. Hosting one client at a time lets us focus on your dog and follow the routine they know. Whether your dog likes to play, explore, sit beside us, or rest in a quiet spot, we give them space to enjoy the stay in their own way. You will receive thoughtful daily photo updates, so you can enjoy your time away knowing your dog is doing well. We know choosing someone to care for your dog is a big decision, and we appreciate the trust our clients place in us. We would be happy to schedule a meet-and-greet before your dog's first stay to answer your questions, get to know your dog, and make sure we are a good fit. From the moment your dog arrives, they are part of everything we do. Because we both work from home, your dog spends the day with us instead of being left alone for long periods. We go for walks, spend time in the backyard, take breaks, and shape the day around what your dog likes. Some dogs want to stay active, while others are happiest resting nearby. Whenever possible, we follow the routine your dog knows at home, including feeding times, medications, exercise, and bedtime. A familiar routine can help a dog relax more quickly in a new place. We never rush your dog’s first day. Your dog can get familiar with the house and backyard before settling in. Our home sits on a large property with a fully fenced backyard where dogs have plenty of room to explore, play, or relax. Fresh water is always available, and every dog is supervised indoors and outside. I am certified in Dog First Aid and CPR. Before each stay, the house and backyard are checked and prepared for your dog’s arrival. Boris, our Boston Terrier, is friendly, neutered, fully vaccinated, and up to date on flea and tick prevention. Dogs are introduced slowly while we watch how each one responds. If your dog wants more space, we respect that. During walks, we watch your dog’s behavior and the area around us. If a route becomes busy or something makes your dog uneasy, we change direction or adjust the plan.
About: I was raised with dogs since I was about 5 years old, and had cats since I was 10. I currently own two beautiful cats that I've had for about 5 years now. I have pet sat for others while in the military, and am excited to do so again! I quit my job so that I can attend college full-time. Until I start classes, I am completely free and available to care for animals. Once I start classes, I will still be able to pet sit and board on my off days and weekends. :) I live in a two bedroom condo with a green belt out back and several nice walking trails nearby. I do have two cats, so any dogs I watch will need to be gentle and play nice!

“Marina & Richard were amazing sitters for our pup. They were super responsive and confirmed our booking quickly. The pictures of our pup were so adorable and I know she had an amazing time with their family and pups. We will certainly book with them again!”

“Kim is wonderful! She took great care of Whitley, and I loved the updates with how Whitley was playing with the other dogs. Kim is extremely responsive to messages and we can’t wait to book with her again in the future. It is such a relief to find somebody we know can take good care of our girl when needed. Thank you, Kim!”
“Ani and Pallavi were so sweet, accommodating, and communicative! They sent lots of pictures and definitely worked hard to make my dog Winnie feel at home. I'm so grateful for their flexibility with my schedule and their graciousness with everything. Definitely will book again!”

“So glad to have found Quinten after our former Rover caretaker moved overseas. He clearly loves dogs and it shows in his gentleness and patience towards them. Like many of her kind, our French Bulldog can have bursts of high energy. Some Rover caretakers who are less experienced can be overwhelmed with her quirks, but Quinten was not only unfazed but seems to appreciate each dog’s unique personality. He sent plenty of videos and pictures during a short day care. We look forward to our next stay with him.”

About: I work from home full-time with my best friend, Ace — a friendly and easygoing Labrador who loves having new buddies to explore with. With 10 acres of trails and open space to roam, plus a calm, consistent routine, I offer a relaxed, home-style environment where dogs can enjoy fresh air, playtime, and personalized attention. I’ve grown up with dogs, cats, and horses, and have also worked hands-on in the veterinary field, so while I’m confident managing basic needs and emergencies, my care is best suited for dogs who thrive in a peaceful, low-stress setting. Whether your pup loves sunbathing or playing chase in the yard, they’ll feel right at home here. Because I work from home, pet care naturally fits into my daily routine. I’m here throughout the day and night, so your dog will never feel alone or overlooked. From walks and playtime to quiet moments and cuddles, I provide plenty of attention and interaction at a relaxed pace. My consistent presence helps pets feel safe and comfortable, and I tailor their day to match their energy, whether that means exploring the trails or just lounging by my side. While you're away, they’ll have the care, companionship, and calm environment they need to feel at home. In my home, pets are treated like part of the family. I provide a calm, consistent environment with plenty of supervision, so dogs feel safe, relaxed, and cared for throughout their stay. Each pup gets personalized attention, regular potty breaks, playtime, and downtime based on their unique energy and needs. My 10-acre property offers plenty of space to explore, with one side securely fenced and the rest open but always supervised. Because the property isn't fully enclosed, all outdoor time is carefully monitored at all times, and I only allow off-leash play for dogs with reliable recall or with owner permission. Safety is always my top priority, and dogs are never left outside unattended. Indoors, pets have access to cozy, clean spaces to rest and recharge, and they’re always part of the household, not isolated or left alone for long. If I’m caring for your pet in your home, I follow your routine closely to keep things familiar and low-stress. I always respect your space and provide regular updates so you can relax while you’re away.
About: Hi! I’m a reliable, active, and attentive dog lover based in the Seattle area. I grew up with dogs and cats, including a Saint Bernard and two boxers (not all at the same time!), so caring for animals has always been part of my life. We currently have a friendly rescue dog named Jensen, a lab/pit mix who absolutely loves playing with other dogs. We have a fully fenced yard and live in a quiet neighborhood that’s great for walks. I enjoy being active and spending time outside, so your dog will get plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship. I understand how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet, and I treat every dog like part of the family. You can also expect regular updates, photos, and clear communication while you’re away. Looking forward to meeting your pup! I work from home and have a flexible schedule, which allows me to spend a lot of time with the dogs in my care. Pets are rarely left alone for long periods, and I’m able to provide regular potty breaks, walks, playtime, supervision, and companionship throughout the day. We have a fully fenced yard and a quiet, dog-friendly neighborhood for walks. Dogs in our care are supervised closely and treated like part of the family. We follow each owner’s instructions carefully regarding feeding, routines, medications, crate use, and exercise needs. Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
