“I always say, if my dogs come home and sleep for hours, that means they had a blast with their sitter, and that is exactly what happened. Kim was great, she sent photos of the dogs, she was very nice and very responsive. I will use her again to care for my two dogs.”

“Vanessa is awesome. She was so loving with Riley and sent pictures and updates throughout. As soon as I met her I could tell that she would take great care... extremely warm and kind. I felt totally comfortable with her as Riley's sitter!”

About: I have 15 years of experience caring for dogs and understand that every pup has their own personality, routine, and unique needs. I work from home, which means your dog will have plenty of companionship, supervision, and attention throughout the day. We typically enjoy two walks a day, along with playtime, cuddles, and plenty of relaxation. Most importantly, I work around the dog’s schedule rather than expecting them to fit into ours. I’m happy to follow their usual feeding, walking, nap, and bedtime routines to help them feel comfortable and at home. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. In my home, I provide a clean, calm, and pet-friendly environment with constant supervision, structured routines, and plenty of affection. I carefully follow feeding instructions, medication needs, and exercise routines, ensuring a safe, loving, and reliable experience every time.
“Anping accepted our request to watch our pup last minute and was very communicative. Took our pup on multiple walks to tire him out and sent lots of pics throughout the stay. Would definitely have Anping watch our pup in the future!”

About: Ever since getting our vizslador 3 years ago, I have fallen in love with all dogs. I believe all dogs are unique with individual personalities!! I love earning a dogs trust! I’m available for boarding some weekends and some days of the week depending on my part time work schedule. I know the importance of a positive attitude and exercise for our dogs! I have three children who have helped take care of or own fur baby, who would be loving companions to your fur baby. Our own fur baby is also quite friendly with others.
About: I grew up around cats, dogs and hamsters. We have had 2 boxers previously, one of which I have cared for through his late senior years, so I know what extra special care senior animals may need. I am comfortable diaper-changing, walking a their pace and administering medications. I have experience house-sitting and pet-sitting for various pets throughout my life — mostly cats and dogs. My son currently has a Leopard Gecko, so I have some insight into caged reptiles too, but am willing to learn more and care for them too, if needed. I am a Stay-at-Home-Mom with an open schedule. I can easily fit in dog walks, or house-visits to care for a pet. (I have a 1.5 year old daughter who will mostly like need to come with me on these visits.) You can trust me to walk your pet or come pop-in for a visit to feed and care for them. I love all animals and am happy to help them feel loved and less alone while you're gone.
“Minnie was so amazing. I have a 6 month old Chihuahua terrier mix who isn’t very socialized yet so around strangers he can be very timid and fearful. I needed a dog sitter for about 12 hours and Minnie was a perfect fit. My pup took to her well during our meet and greet and during daycare she sent me tons of photo updates throughout the day. I’ve never seen my pup so comfortable with a stranger AND new environment as he looked in the photos. I can tell he was having fun. I’m so thankful his first experience with a pet sitter was a positive one. I would highly recommend Minnie to any pet parent!”

“Cathy and her husband, Brian were really affectionate towards Inji. Cathy was on top of all the communication and sent me lots of pictures/videos that made us feel comfortable and happy about leaving Inji with them. Their home is set up really well for doggy day care.”

“Zach did an amazing job with our dog Kaia, who is 2 years old and very shy. Zach went above and beyond to accommodate Kaia and make sure she felt comfortable during her first stay with him. Zach took Kaia for a walk at Soaring Eagle, to the pet store, Beaver Lake dog park, and spoiled her with ice cream and treats. We really appreciate the quality time and great care Zach gave to Kaia. We will definitely use Zach again for future day care and boarding!”

“Our boy came home tired and happy from his daycare. Ana Clara was very attentive and considerate of our anxious puppy’s needs, and made sure to send pictures showing him relaxing and settling in. Highly recommend her!”

“I felt so comfortable leaving my dog with Maritza. She made her feel welecome the minute we walked in the door. You can tell right away that she does Roover for the love of dogs, and kept me updated with a short note and picture a dew times through the day. Rosie was very happy and playing with the kids when I got there to pick her up, she got in the car and fell asleep on the way home. She must have had a good day because she ate dinner and went back for a nap, all worn out and happy. which can be hard to do with a yound Doodle. I took Rosie back 2 days later and she jumped right out of the car and trotted to the front door, and before I could even knck she pawed at the door, like hey, I here, ready for more fun. She was just as happy when my husband picked her up later that day to. Will definantly be reaching out again when Rosie needs daycare.”

“Ivonne is such a warm and gentle dog mama to her own dog and those under her care. She understands the nuances of caring for a senior dog. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay for our senior dog. He came home calm and relaxed.”

“Fairly certain I get a better dog back than what I leave with ardelle 🤣 she gives the absolute best and cutest updates on all the fun things they do. Ziggy gets the full butt wiggle when he realizes who he's hanging out with. They go outside and run and play and she always has him nice and clean for me to pick back up. And she really just goes above and beyond in all aspects. Ziggy and I are both so happy to have found her and so appreciative of how great she has been for him to hang out with.”

“Cynthia was very quick to respond to my inquires and questions prior to booking. We received several photos and text updates while our girls were in her care. All was good.”

“Thank you so much, Ben and family! You guys are awesome! Gunner literally passed out when we got home. Haha! He had a lot of fun at your place. We'll bring him back for sure. So glad we found you guys :)”

“Soma’s love of dogs is apparent in her welcoming environment. We had a last minute daycare request for our 1-yr old pit-lab mix, Layla. We did the meet and greet on Friday and did the drop-off on Saturday. We received text updates and photos. Grateful for the fun, cozy, and loving care that Layla experienced at Soma’s.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - High Point
Remi and Ruger had a wonderful second daycare/puppy playtime with Hyeyoung! Hyeyoung connects so easily with dogs and they just loved being there! When dropping them off they were so excited. They remembered Hyeyoung and her pup, Happy. It was such a comfort to know that our pups would be well cared for and happy while we were away. Hyeyoung also sent many photos, videos and updates throughout the day, which we enjoyed and appreciated! We highly recommend her if you are in need of a pet sitter!!

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
