Our big, goofy dog was so well loved by Ana Clara for the week we were gone that I am not sure he wanted to come back home. 🙃 After our initial meet and greet, I knew that our dog would be in good hands during our cruise, when I would have very limited cell reception. Ana Clara gave our pup plenty of attention and sent me daily updates and pictures. She let me know that the first night he struggled to settle, but was still eating and drinking. About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 9 years old. I do have more experience training and working with smaller dogs, as my childhood dogs were Pomeranian mixes. However, I have cared for larger dogs (ie. Portuguese water dogs, golden doodles, pitbull mixes). As a dog walker, I’ve worked with two retired Portuguese water dog champions on a lead. I personally only trained one puppy at a young age and cared for two larger senior dogs. I currently work from home so I have time to take your puppy out for potty breaks, walks and play time. Due to my work flexibility, I’m available for boarding throughout the week and weekend. I do coach soccer, during which time I may be out of the house for 3-4 hours at max, but I will let you know when and if I ever need to step out of the house with or without your puppy. I also occasionally travel for work from Sundays-Thursdays, but I will have advanced notice of those travel days. Whether I am in my own home, or in my clients’ homes, I am very attentive and keep a keen eye on your pets’ behaviors and noises they make. Hugo was able to go on an awesome adventure in the forest one afternoon and spend the day romping with the other dogs at doggie daycare the following morning. Also sent great pictures which was a bonus! Well worth their cost and will absolutely do this again the next time I’m in the area.”

“Liz exceeded all my exceptions when boarding my boy, Bexo! Not only does she provide a "home away from home", but with a stream of photos of Bexo exploring her huge yard and going for walks on the surrounding trails, I really felt like he was getting a vacation of his own. Bexo can take a while to warm up to new people, and doesn't do well with other dogs. While discussing this at drop off, I discovered that Liz is also a trainer with extensive experience working with special needs. This was immediately apparent in the her interactions with Bexo, as she made sure Bexo was conformable with her before I left. She really seem to "hear" him, and I've never seen him take to a stranger so fast. Thanks again Liz! Bexo can't wait until next time.”

“Amanda and Eric were such wonderful, kind sitters. I can't recommend them highly enough! The day before my booking was supposed to start, one of my girls got attacked by another dog and needed stitches on her ear and routine medication. I offered cancellation if they weren't comfortable with that, but Amanda assured me that her training as a nurse meant treating wounds was no problem at all. My girls got lots of walks, lots of love, and proper medical care. Choosing Amanda and Eric was such a blessing!”

“Janin (and familiy) has become Portia's second family when I'm away. It's incredibly comforting to know how well cared for she is. She's always incredibly excited to say hello and see what's new when we arrive and has a special bond with Janin, making sure to say goodbye when I pick her up. I almost feel guilty that I'm not concerned about her care when I'm gone - but extremely comforting (and thankful!) to know that I don't need to be! As always, a great stay for Portia - we'll be back in a few weeks!”
