“Allexis is the best dog walker I've ever had! She is so communicative, kind, caring and flexible. My dog has struggled with some big life changes and transitions we've been going through and Allexis has been patient and loving with her. I've seen a huge difference in my dog's demeanor since Allexis and I've so grateful!”

“Daniela was amazing with Toby! She went above and beyond — brought him his favorite salmon treats, took him to the park, and played fetch with him until he was happily tired. It’s clear she really cares about dogs and treats them like her own. Highly recommend!”

About: Hi! I’m excited to meet new pets and provide loving, reliable care while you’re away. I’ve grown up around animals my entire life, so caring for them comes naturally to me. I love giving treats, attention, playtime, and plenty of snuggles to help pets feel comfortable and happy. I have a flexible schedule and am happy to work with your pet’s routine and specific needs. I follow structured schedules to make sure your pets receive the best care possible. The more information you share about your pet, the better I can tailor their care and keep them feeling safe and comfortable. Thank you for considering me as your sitter — I truly appreciate the opportunity and look forward to helping with your pet care needs! I currently work part-time 4 days a week, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of time to care for your pets. I’m available all day on Wednesdays through Fridays. On Mondays, Tuesdays, and weekends I’m available after work, typically no later than 2 PM willing to check on pete before I start my shift! I’m always happy to work with pet parents to find a schedule that works best and will make sure your pets receive lots of attention, care, playtime, and companionship while you’re away. 😊 I always make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for in both my home and my client’s home. I pay close attention to routines, feeding instructions, walks, and any special needs to help pets feel as stress free as possible. I’m patient, reliable, and will treat your pets like they’re my own while keeping you updated along the way
“Yoon is phenomenal! She is thoughtful and skilled, immediately taking to my dogs and making everyone feel at ease. She has such a positive attitude and is a great communicator, she is trustworthy and kind. And not to mention, my dogs adore her! I would give Yoon my highest recommendation, thank you.”

About: Hello! Here’s a little bit about me. I am currently a kindergarten teacher and I was born and raised in Washington. I would love a pet of my own, but I am not home enough during the school year. I’d love to be your pets new best friend while you’re away! The services I will be offering are drop-in visits and dog walks. I’ve looked after many dogs and cats in my lifetime (dog sitting, dog walking, drop-ins for my friends cats, etc.). I also used to have a dog of my own! I look forward to taking care of your pet and giving them attention and love while you’re away. As previously mentioned, I am a teacher. Most of the time, I am in my classroom teaching students how to read, write and count! But, in my free time, I’d love to play with/take care of some adorable dogs and cats. I have a lot of time after work and a lot of free time on weekends. Additionally, we have lots of breaks and three-day weekends throughout the school year where I’m typically free. During the summer, I’ll be the most active on this app because we have two months off! I will most likely not offer services that give pets the opportunity stay with me in my apartment, but when I am in your home I will be respectful of your space and leave everything exactly how it was.

About: I’ve taken care of cats, dogs and other fluffy friends for most of my life. Pets are our best friends and companions, they deserve an attentive caretaker while their humans are away. I strive to make sure your loved ones are cared for exactly as you ask. Every pet has their own special needs, especially as they age. I have experience with older animals as well and am comfortable administering medications. I’m soft spoken and patient and will ensure they feel safe and comfortable with my presence. I have two shelter cats at home who my partner and I spoil with love daily. We are looking forward to adopting a dog in the future and adding to our family! I have a flexible schedule and am local to the island. I focus my availability to just the island so I can quickly make it to our scheduled bookings on time. While I don’t offer boarding services at this time, I will gladly maintain your routine with your pet in your home. If you crate your dog or have dedicated play spaces I’ll be sure to follow your guidelines. Any preferences for walk locations can also be abided by. I’ll be sure to work with your timid animals to build a trust relationship with them.
About: I've cared for and loved dogs (and cats) for my entire life (and I'm old enough to get senior discounts!). From giant breeds to tiny mixes, I have a seventh sense for how your pup best interacts with the world. Shy dogs, reactive dogs, energetic dogs and all in between are welcome and will be thoughtfully cared for. I'm at home full-time and can give your pup the attention he or she deserves 24/7. I live within 5 minutes of 2 parks, one on the lake if that's what your dog likes. Fully fenced, large backyard that dogs can access all day. Live with a VERY sweet, even-tempered 2 year-old female St Bernese (Bernese/St. Bernard) and an outdoor kitty. Pups will have unrestricted use of the house. Most importantly, I care and will work with you to give your pup the most comfortable homestay possible.

About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life—German Shepherds, Retrievers, Collies, and even a Brazilian Mastiff—and I have solid training experience with them. That background means I understand different breeds, temperaments, and behavioral needs deeply. I can handle obedience, manage challenging behaviors, and work constructively with dogs during their stay. As a German Shepherd owner myself, I apply everything I’ve learned to every dog in my care. I’m reliable, active, responsive to owners, and committed to proper exercise, mental stimulation, and attention. Whether it’s a dog that needs behavioral consistency, ongoing training reinforcement, or just someone who genuinely knows what they’re doing—your dog is in capable hands I work full time from Monday to Friday. I am available for walks on weekends and Mondays and Tuesdays in afternoon. I can walk multiple dogs at the same time if they get along, but I would prefer to do gradual gentle introductions first. Any type of dogs are welcome. I live with my German Shepherd in a clean, safe apartment and I’ll give your dog tons of love and attention. I provide a calm, caring environment where your pup will feel right at home
“Olivia responded quickly to my dog’s need for a walk! She was flexible and attentive and made sure we found a time that worked. It went so well that I have booked 4 more walking sessions. She is intuitive with my dogs needs and truly cares about what is best for him.”

“Jackie has been taking our dog Watson out on daily walks for the past couple of weeks and has been nothing short of wonderful. She has been super easy to communicate with us and always sends photos and updates of what Watson did on their walk. Highly recommend her! ”

About: I have been a STEM teacher for 5 years, handling classes with students of grade levels from middle school through seniors. I also pet sat my SIL’s cats at her house (one a senior, other younger) while she traveled overseas for a month, along with aiding in looking after four young puppies for a month. Also, I establish trust and care with both dogs and cats in a timely manner, ensuring that they fill safe and loved. Also, I have had several cats and dogs of my own throughout the years. I am currently in my summer break so I can be there for your pets practically at anytime, just busy on Monday and Wednesday mornings until 12 pm. In your home, I can feed, walk, play, and love your dogs and cats as much as is needed. If they have routines or need to be put up / crated, I can facilitate those.
About: Speciality is cats! I have two sweet cats of my own. I’ve taken care of both cats and dogs growing up. I’m open to walk, feed, play and bathe your animals! I’m also available at short notice! About: I started dog sitting for my grandparents growing up, since I wasn't able to have dogs at home. I loved being able to take them on walks and figure out where their favorite place was to get pets! Over the last several years, I have house and dog sat for many friends and neighbors while they were out of town, and they appreciate my calm presence and reliability. I'm looking forward to hanging out with your pets and giving them all the attention they deserve! I am currently a nursing student with a hybrid class schedule which allows me to have flexible availability, and I have reliable transportation to prioritize pet care. I live in a house with multiple floors that can be gated off to ensure all animals are safe and comfortable. While staying in a client's home, I treat the space with respect and try to keep the pets' routines as consistent as possible.

About: I’ve grown up caring for my own beagle, so I know firsthand what dogs need to feel comfortable and loved. I have experience with senior dogs and understand how to give them the extra patience and gentle care they deserve. I’m a college student home for the summer taking online classes, so my schedule is extremely flexible. I have plenty of time to give dogs the attention and care they need throughout the day. I provide care at my clients’ homes and on walks, so your dog stays comfortable in familiar surroundings. Whether it’s sticking to their routine at home or getting their energy out on a walk, I make sure they’re happy, safe, and well looked after.
“Akiva has been a fantastic friend and walker to our Blue Heeler puppy. She absolutely adores him because he makes walks fun, positive, and rewarding. We’re grateful for his calm and confident presence and positive reinforcement. Our dog can be very stubborn and he is always patient with her and with us. She gets so excited to see him and it’s a huge relief to us that she’s in capable and thoughtful hands. We highly recommend Akiva!”

Olivia was great. She was remarkably punctual, even though she had to come walk my dog three times/day. She is very friendly and obviously she and my hound really liked each other. My dog is usually uncomfortable going with people she doesn't know but took to Olivia right away. I am grateful for her care of my sweetheart and highly recommend her to everyone!

Kai is doing a great job. I had surgery and needed someone to walk my dog 3x/day. He answered the call immediately, came to the house to introduce himself and appeared the next day at 7:15 AM. He has been very punctual and dependable. My dog, who doesn't like to walk with people she doesn't know, wags her tale when he comes to the door. HE is terrific!

Rachel is amazing! She's great with my dogs, who are suspicious and standoffish with people they don't know. She is also just a lovely human! Last weekend, while on my trip, I discovered that I had mistakenly booked her to walk my dogs the following weekend, not the one I was gone. She was able to accommodate the last minute change, and was so kind about it. Rachel is the best :)
Allexis is the best dog walker I've ever had! She is so communicative, kind, caring and flexible. My dog has struggled with some big life changes and transitions we've been going through and Allexis has been patient and loving with her. I've seen a huge difference in my dog's demeanor since Allexis and I've so grateful!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
