“Julie has been walking our 50 lb dog for several weeks and recently stopped over to feed and look in on both our dogs while we were away. I appreciate how communicative she is and she is so sweet with our dogs. Would definitely recommend her!”

About: I’ve loved and cared for animals for most of my life. I had a dog in Colombia who was part of my family for 15 wonderful years, and now I have two cats here in the United States. Caring for pets has taught me patience, responsibility, and how important it is to make animals feel safe, loved, and comfortable. I truly enjoy spending time with pets and treating them like family. I’m currently a stay-at-home mom, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of time to care for pets throughout the day. I’m available for walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting, and I always make sure pets receive attention, playtime, and loving care. I provide a calm, clean, and safe environment for pets and always make sure they feel comfortable and cared for. I understand how important routines, patience, and supervision are, and I treat every pet with the same love and attention I give my own cats.
“John was fantastic with our Husky Bo. He kept me informed about everything that Bo was doing, and sent pictures and video. Bo was always happy to see John, and appeared to be having a great time on his walks. I would definitely recommend John, and I plan on requesting him to watch Bo again.”

“Jen was very communicative and even my shy kitty was at ease around her. This was the first time having someone look after my cats and she did an amazing job. I would recommend her for anyone who needs their cats checked in on!”

“Tiana has been great with Artoo. I first booked and she responded very quickly asking if we could do a meet and greet. Easy to communicate with via text or the app. Tiana sends updates with each visit as well as a picture or 2. Makes me feel better knowing she is stopping by to check on Artoo while I’m at work. Won’t hesitate to book with her in the future.”

About: I've taken care of dogs throughout my entire life, and was active in training my border collie/lab mix Akila in my young adulthood. I have a warm and gentle spirit that tends to put all animals (humans included!) at ease in my presence. I have worked with untrained young dogs, puppies, and I love a challenge! I am currently working a very flexible schedule, so I will be prioritizing bookings from Rover as much as possible! I'm excited to gain more experience with lots of different dogs, as I'm looking to adopt myself. I wasn't allowed to have a dog in past housing, so I'm very enthusiastic about lots of pup time. I do not have a house that is available to take more dogs in for care, so I will only be doing drop-ins, walks, and house-sitting at this time. This may change in the future. In a client's home, I have years of experience house-sitting, babysitting, and I prioritize client's routines and wishes above all else. My desire is to provide a stress-free, pleasant experience for the dogs, so that they are happy and healthy when their parents come home to them!
“Shaianne was amazing!! Our kitten Hope was well cared for and enjoyed the company on the drop in visits. We loved getting pictures and the detailed note of how the visits went! We will definitely be rebooking with Shaianne in the future!! (Already have!)”

“Jennifer was perfect, obviously loves cats, gave great updates and pictures, and even knew all about how to operate our automatic litter boxes. Would absolutely recommend”

“Gino was very nice and professional. Offered to do a quick meet and greet before the first visit in order to meet the dog and learn how to get in the house and everything. Took photos and kept us updated through the visit. Would recommend.”

“Marie was so great with our two kittens. It was our first time leaving town since adopting them, but Marie really put out minds at ease. She left thorough notes about each visit and sent along plenty of pictures. We'll definitely be booking again!”

About: I’ve cared for dogs and cats my entire life. I helped run a rescue in rural Mexico, administering medications, skin care, training, and daily care before finding loving homes in the U.S. and Canada. I stay active learning about dog behavior and training, and believe in building trust through positive reinforcement, treats, play, and affection. I treat my Rover services like a small business—professionalism, reliability, and communication are essential. I provide regular updates and can adapt my care and communication style to meet you and your pet’s unique needs. 🐾 I am a small business owner who manages a portfolio of rental properties, which allows me to work primarily from home. Because of that, your pet will receive plenty of attention, supervision, and companionship throughout the day. I make it a priority to stay active with regular walks and runs, and I love bringing the dogs in my care along whenever appropriate. During lunch breaks, I spend time teaching my own dog new tricks, reinforcing good behaviors, and providing mental stimulation. I believe a well-exercised and mentally engaged dog is a happy dog. Combined with clear communication, reliability, and genuine care, my goal is to provide a safe, enriching, and loving experience for every pet entrusted to me. 🐾 Every pet and owner is different, so I start by listening. I encourage my clients to tell me their pet’s routines, preferences, training methods, exercise needs, and any specific expectations they have for care. I do my best to accommodate those preferences so your pet experiences consistency and comfort while you’re away. Safety and trust are extremely important to me. As a small business owner with a background in real estate and property management, I am accustomed to being entrusted with people’s homes, keys, access codes, and security procedures. I am comfortable managing alarms, cameras, locking up properly, securing gates, and following any home-specific instructions you provide. Whether care takes place in my home or yours, I strive to create a calm, safe, and structured environment where pets receive plenty of attention, exercise, affection, and supervision. My goal is for both you and your pet to feel comfortable, informed, and confident throughout the entire experience. 🐾
“This was our first time leaving our kittens home by themselves. They're both very skittish and shy, but they LOVED Laura so much. She took care of our little ones and our home while we were gone. She sent us pictures and texts to keep us updated. Every visit we could see they were getting more and more comfortable. We would ask Laura to watch our babies again the next time we're out of town. Thanks Laura!”

“Morgan did a great job filling in last minute for us! We will definitely consider her again for future dates. She was communicative and thorough throughout her time here. Kaya definitely appreciated the company.”

About: Privileged to have had pets my whole life. I am an attorney and primarily work remotely. I used to have an Alaskan malamute. I currently have a miniature Australian shepherd named Aero and a ragdoll named Bluey. Animals keep me sane! I work remotely and have the flexibility do home visits and/or drop in visits during the weekdays and weekends. Animals keep me sane and provide serotonin to keep me afloat. I am tidy, reliable and considerate of house rules if you need me to drop by for a home visit or house-sit. True homebody here.

There's nothing that your pet can accidentally eat or break. My two cats are both troublemakers who assure there's nothing unsafe out to get into. The only people in and out of my home is myself and my boyfriend, so no strangers coming around. Our backyard is fenced. My dog, Chica, loves Jamal! Since Jamal has started visiting with Chica, she has been more relaxed and calm when I get home from work. Jamal is more than accommodating to schedules, mishaps, and anything that comes up. I’m so glad Chica has Jamal in her life, thanks so much man!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Kent with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
