I have loved pets from a young age, taking care of cats, dogs, and birds in the last 20 plus years. I've watched up to 3 three dogs at a time. Dog Walking - Join my dog and I walking around the neighborhood or local parks. Let's have a meet and greet to make sure everyone gets along. Play - I've played fetch, and used interactive mind toys to occupy my dogs. Feeding - I understand different feeding schedules and keeping some animals separate during meal time. Experienced feeding dry and wet food. Medications - I have experience administering eye drops and oral pills. Dog training - I went through dog training with my dog as a puppy and encourage good dog manners. Grooming - I have given my pets many bathes over the years, including dogs and reluctant cats. I have been trimming my dog for about 6 years. Relax/bed time - I understand dogs need to wind down and have their rest and cuddle time.

Melinda was a able to accommodate Morgan on a relatively short notice. She did a wonderful job with her as always. Morgan loved the new dog bed in her favorite spot in front of the window.

Melinda has been my go to dog sitter for the last 10 years. She has always treated my dogs very well and they get plenty of attention. She has a pet friendly home with a fenced yard so my dogs can choose where they spend time during the day. They typically get a daily walk as well. She runs a disciplined house but my dogs are not confined to a kennel during the day. On several occasions my dogs have needed extra care due to medical issues and she has been very attentive and made sure they got their medicine or other care as needed. Her Cocker Spaniel can be a little intimidating to other dogs at first but once she gets used to them, she is very friendly.

Schedule
I am looking to help out Burien or Normandy Park families in the late afternoons and evenings for walks and checking on pets. I am home during the day with an occasional flexible schedule. Pet sitting at my house where I can keep an eye throughout the day.

I have a fenced in yard for dogs to run around and a doggie door for convenient potty time. I can accommodate one additional crate if your pet prefers the familiarity of a create for down time and sleeping (client to bring as needed).

A typical day
We will walk to explore the neighborhood and spend some time playing fetch. Mostly during the day is down time. Your dog will have an opportunity to play with indoor toys, like stuffed toys or bones.
