Unfortunately when I went for a meet and greet Brandon opted not to allow his malinois to meet my dog and only allowed her to meet his older docile dog out front, which should have prevented me from booking with him in retrospect. This resulted in my dog being completely scared and anxious when at drop off Brandon closed my dog in his house, feet away from his crated dog who was barking viciously and lunging at my dog while him and I chatted on the porch about care logistics again, as he didn’t seem to remember he had never watched my dog before. The handoff and introduction was abrupt and mismanaged and my dog was terrified. I asked for him to allow her time to decompress knowing she gets anxious and fearful and instead he was attempting to handle her within the hour of her being incredibly freaked out by how he handled her intro. I had been more than transparent about my dogs fearful tendencies and how they manifest and he expressed confidence in managing them, yet after I had already boarded the plane, an hour into her stay he asked to cancel. I agree, it was the best decision not to proceed at that point, but I’m confident it wouldn’t have been necessary if he had allowed the dogs to meet, did a slow introduction and allowed my dog the space she needed when she was clearly scared. It was all incredibly stressful. I’m sure Brandon is fine for most dogs, but he presented false confidence to secure my booking with a dog who needs more intentionality and patience. She has had multiple successful stays with sitters who navigated that process better.

Brandon was great. He helped us out in a pinch on a holiday weekend. We were able to do a meet and greet with his dogs ahead, good communication throughout! We will be booking with Brandon again!

Blue was in fine shape when the session was over. I am very pleased with Brandon working with me on the time to drop him off and pick him up. Very accommodating.

Schedule

I work totally on my own schedule as I want but don’t have a strict schedule, making it easier to take care of animals. My schedule is not set in any way.

Where your pet will stay

Home characteristics

Lives in a house
Has a fenced yard
Non-smoking household
Has 2 dogs
No children present
Dogs not allowed on bed
Dogs not allowed on furniture
Potty breaks every 0-2 hours

Safety, trust & environment

Typically I care for them based on the request of the owner within reason, but I tend to give them as much attention and love as they need. I want them to feel loved. For visits and walks I try to be encouraging and go at the animal’s pace.

Pets

A typical day

Mostly I play with them in the fenced in back yard for their safety or indoors and take them on occasional walks. My dogs enjoy playing with other dogs, so they have a lot of friends in their new environment which alleviates their stress.

Allergies, habits, nervous issues, problems with certain types of dogs, etc. Basically if your baby has some type of issue I should know about, please inform me as soon as possible. I want to prevent any problems like allergic reactions or aggravating an old injury through play.
