“We could not be happier with Jeanne. She truly has been so amazing to our German Shepherd Stella!! We have used Jeanne several times for when we were traveling out of town for families weddings and our own wedding and honeymoon and I knew the entire time we were away that Stella was being spoiled and well taken care of. I could tell Stella was truly happy when we had returned as she wasn’t ready to leave! She would run straight to the back yard and get a large stick and show us what she had been doing why we were away. I cannot say enough great things about Jeanne as she truly feels like she is apart of our family now. Thank you Jeanne for taking such great care of our daughter why we are away! ”

“Danika is a sweet lady that truly cares about the animals in her care. Which is a relief when leaving my baby. He thinks he's supposed to go everywhere with me but loves going to Danika so it eases him as well. Thank you Danika ❤️”

“I can’t recommend Michelle enough! She took exceptional care of my dog, Bowie, for a week. Throughout Bowie’s stay, she was proactive in sharing photos and videos, which really put my mind at ease. Michelle was also incredibly thoughtful and flexible with my pick-up and drop-off schedule, making the whole process smooth and stress-free. Bowie came home happy and well-cared for. Thank you, Michelle!”

“Lexi and Vic are one of a kind! Super accommodating and easy to coordinate with. My dog Finn had a blast running around with their furry friend all week and they sent great updates to let me know how my pup was doing. 10/10 would recommend and will book again!”

“Tony is fabulous and I will surely ask him to care for my dog when I travel overseas again. Tony’s demeanor is calm, confident and caring. His home is well-cared for, plus his backyard is fully fenced so he provides a safe and available access to outdoor play and potty breaks.”

“This was Sassy’s first stay with Kaylie. She did great! Kaylie communicates quickly and often. She sent pictures and a video. Even though I could see that Sassy was really happy to see me, she was also clearly very comfortable with Kaylie. Major relief! Strong recommend!”

“There were some unforseen things (on our end) that occurred at the beginning of Nalu's stay, but Trish was so amazing - so gracious and understanding! Nalu made a bunch of doggie friends as well as some chicken, bunny and kitty friends. I n would not hesitate at all to recommend Trish or to have Nalu stay with her anytime!”

“I have been sending my one year old puppy Kahlua to stay with Marina and Richard since she was 8 weeks old. I always receive updates and pictures daily and my Kahlua comes home exhausted from running around the big backyard and playing nonstop with their kids. Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Covington
Bryan and his mom were great! They watched my very nervous girl leading up to the 4th of July and were extremely attentive to her during the fireworks. They are incredibly kind and the daily videos made me feel much more at peace. I highly recommend booking with Bryan!

This was Henri’s first time at Adrienne’s and he came home one tired pup!! Adrienne welcomed Henri with open arms and was very friendly and personable :) her yard was beautiful and a perfect place for our high energy (ball obsessed) goldendoodle! She was always quick to respond when we reached out and sent us multiple picture updates, which we appreciated. Highly recommend and will definitely use again!

Our boys had the best time with Kelli and family. They came home happy and tired. We know that they are always well taken care of and it gives us peace of mind when we are away. This is their third time staying with them. Kelli was great at giving us updates and sending photos and videos during their stay. We will continue to use Kelli and Ryan as our go to sitter. Her family is wonderful with our dogs.

Celina and Max took such good care of our 85-pound, energetic dog, Steven. She took him on nice long walks, to dog parks, and on trails. She sent us pictures and updates every day and was super flexible with drop-off and pick-up times. Thank you, Celina and Max. We 100 percent will leave Steven with you next time!

Colleen did an excellent job watching over Ahri! She is a professional sitter and knows how to handle dogs well. Colleen is very communicative, which we greatly appreciated. She was very responsive with texts and provided us with daily updates and pictures on how Ahri was doing while we were away. Highly recommend!

Amy and her family were very welcoming with our corgi. She has a great safe and secure yard for dogs to run around in and I know our pup was in heaven. Amy sent many photos of my dog with updates. When my dog did act up, Amy had prompt communication with me as we figured out next steps. She did a great job with him in a hard situation. I'd recommend anyone to Amy - she loves dogs and has a great set up to host furry friends! Thank you!

Lubaba has provided exceptional care for our senior dog, Indigo, who requires additional support at his age. She consistently goes above and beyond to ensure his comfort and well-being, giving us tremendous peace of mind. We greatly appreciate her professionalism and dedication, and we confidently recommend her to anyone seeking a reliable, compassionate, and attentive dog sitter

Leo and Luna had the best time! They were cared for with so much love and attention—it really gave me peace of mind knowing they were in great hands. Communication was super friendly and easy, and everything went so smoothly from start to finish. I can tell my pups were happy and comfortable the whole time. I’m so grateful for the wonderful care and will definitely be booking again. Highly recommend!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
