“Our dogs had an amazing time! They were treated like family! They returned home so happy and well exercised :) We received video and photo updates throughout their stay. We will definitely look to have them stay here in the future.”

“This was the second time I left my Sophie with Gabriela and Sean. I used the pick up and drop off service which was amazing. But as Gabriela was driving away, my Sophie was sad that she was leaving. That's a good sign that she had a fabulous time with them. I also appreciated all the picture updates which always eased my mind knowing she was having a good time.”

“Harlie is awesome and my dog was so happy to go with her for the weekend. She kept us updated with pictures during his stay, and did a meet and greet upon request. I appreciate her patience with me being nervous using this service for the first time, but it now won't be the last.”

“I trust Katie and her family to take great care of my dog Charlotte. Katie is very responsive and sends regular updates. Charlotte always has a great time and is looking forward to her next stay.”

“We feel so relaxed leaving Gus with Nikkole, knowing he will have tons of fun and tons of snuggles. It’s so convenient that she does drop off and pick up as well.”

“Danika is a sweet lady that truly cares about the animals in her care. Which is a relief when leaving my baby. He thinks he's supposed to go everywhere with me but loves going to Danika so it eases him as well. Thank you Danika ❤️”

“Alyssa jumped in while Dane was out of town and made Lobster’s stay feel like a mini vacation. Lobster came along with his buddy Ren and they were straight into dog park adventures, backyard playtime, and running around with Lady (their adora-pup) like old friends. Between hanging out with Alyssa and her two daughters and all the fun outside, the dogs were clearly living their best lives. The steady stream of happy photos made it obvious they were having a blast and being so well cared for. We live 35 mins away from Dane and Alyssa, and the distance didn't bother us because we know our pup will be in good hands. We will book again and again!”

“Gimli was very happy and well taken care of while we were gone. Got pictures and updates on him and she was able to accommodate change in pick up schedule when I got back earlier than expected! Kaylie was awesome!”

“Lisa did a great job! I think my dog had a better vacation than me! They had some fun adventures, and I loved receiving the photos and updates. I will definitely book Lisa again.”

“My pup had a great few days with Gressa and the other farm animals. Gressa sent photo updates throughout the few days my pup was there which I appreciated. Was easy to communicate with her before, during, and after my pups stay. Would bring my dog here again if I am in the area!”

“Courtney was amazing. She was so welcoming from the moment we arrived at her home. She sent pictures and videos letting us know everything was going well. We could tell are dog had a great time with her. We will absolutely be booking with her again!”

“Dana is wonderful! She watched our anxious pup for an extended stay and he did great under her care. She contacted us the perfect amount to let us know how he was doing and sent a few photos too. He came home happy and tired from all the activity. He did so well we will definitely use Dana again.”

“If I could give Jean 10 stars, I would! She sends me the best pictures of my little boy. I'm put at ease seeing he fits right in with the other pups. I'm so glad I found her on Rover! I also know she doesn't spare the attention and hugs. THE BEST BOARDER!!!!”

“The most amazing doggy sitter on the planet i think. She loves animals so much you can see it and feel it when talking to her. My doggies seems so happy there. Plenty love and attention. I felt comfortable leaving them there. Good home. Excellent communication. Very kind person. Absolutely will recommend her to everyone and absolutely will use her again (if she will have us). Fantastic experience.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Black Diamond
Our 6 month old puppy Hershey was boarding with Diana for 6 days and absolutely loved his staycation. She updated us with pictures and videos very frequently which really helped us calm our nerves. She also has a very friendly dog with which Hershey got along very well. She did meet our expectations and I’d highly recommend her - 10/10

We couldn’t have asked for a more kind and caring sitter for Bear and Luna (12 and 6 years old). From the very beginning, it was clear how much they genuinely cared for our dogs’ comfort and happiness. They took them on daily walks and made sure both were given the attention they needed at their different life stages. What really stood out was how thoughtful they were with our senior dog (Bear), waking up at 4am just to let him outside for a potty break so he wouldn’t be uncomfortable. That level of care and patience gave us such peace of mind while we were away. Bear and Luna were both happy, well exercised, and clearly loved while in their care. We are so grateful and would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for someone who will treat your pets like their own.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
