About: I have many years experience with small and large dogs. I had a poodle for 12 yrs and a Labrador for 15 yrs. I currently have a medium elderly 16 year old that still loves his walks! Special needs dogs are just fine. I am retired and home most of the day during the week. I go to the gym and yoga then at home. If I go out on Weekends I am home every evening. I have a fenced yard and a safe neighborhood. The area is dog friendly for walks. My house is safe for animals including quiet spaces to relax. I can travel locally for visits too. I am flexible and reliable. I worked in the healthcare industry and for the State of Washington. I also foster for the humane society.

About: Good afternoon! I'm a professional trained in Relationship Based Training and Family Dog Mediation with quite a bit of experience helping dogs who need it most. My unique experience in the field means your dogs will get the best care possible with sitting, check-ins and walks. In addition to normal pet visits I utilize my knowledge to: * Provide extra mental stimulation through fun training and games * Set appropriate boundaries to promote better behavior * Establish better human relevance through shared nose-work and stimuli * Continue any training you're working on I've worked with quite a few reactive dogs and am happy to take on pets that traditionally are hard to find a sitter for. Happy to assist with any medical needs or special feeding requirements as well. Feel free to get in touch if you have any additional special needs; I'm very solution oriented and flexible. I recently left my job in tech leadership to focus on a career helping people and animals. I'm here full time to help, whether it's a drop in visit, overnight care or just a walk/hike. Let me know what you need! I'm always on-time, professional and you can rest assured that your pets will be taken care of. I'm well versed in meeting new dogs of all backgrounds and have quite a bit of experience working with animals where there is little room for error. Rest assured that I'm 100% committed to your pets. About: I've been taking care of not just my own pets, but my families and friends since I was around 11! I got my first dog and cat around 6, and was responsible for feeding, walking, playing, and cleaning up after them at around 10. I also watch my friends cats often when they leave town, and take care of my older relatives pets when they need it! I love both cats and dogs, and I will make sure they get a lot of pets!! I'm currently living in Washington for the summer (im a student!) And so I have a lot of availability. I can pet-sit, walk dogs, or even just come and check in on your pets whenever works best for you! I have a lot of free-time while i'm here and would love to meet all of the dogs and cats I can!! (and other animals as well) I have my own family dog and cat that have been with me since age 6!! I have a lot of experience dealing with both. In your home I can feed on their schedules, change their water, play, walk, and clean litter boxes. I'll make sure that they feel happy and get lots of pets & play time!! If they have any specific medications or health issues, I will be sure to stay on top of their schedules and make sure they get what they need!!

About: About me: I am a Project Engineer for a construction company, we a have a little boy and a baby on the way, and we LOVE animals! We have two beautiful horses, three wonderful dogs, and two cats. Eventually I would like to rescue a few farm animals and foster dogs. One thing that breaks my heart is seeing animals in the shelter or up for slaughter. I think every animal deserves a second shot at life and I wish I could take them all on. However I have saved a few horses from slaughter and retrained them to give them a promising future! Basically I work hard to give my animals and future animals a wonderful life! In HS I was an active FFA member which gave me the opportunity to expand my knowledge from just horses, dogs, and cats to dairy cattle, goats, poultry, rabbits, and swine. I also worked for a large animal veterinarian for 2 years as a vet assistant and gained even more knowledge on how to properly care for ALL animals. Ranging from exotics, livestock, equine, dogs, and cats. So your Fur baby is in GOOD hands! At this time I am only accepting clients for drop in visits or house sitting (I do not stay the night). As we just welcomed a newborn baby into our lives. However I am available at all hours to take care of your pet needs! I look forward to working with you! I am very attentive to detail and will follow your instructions to ensure your pets are well taken care of and your home is secure and exactly how you left it 😊

I forgot to write so many instructions down for her and felt awful but she was on it and figured everything out without even needing me. She is an absolute godsend and we are so lucky to have found her!

About: My experience ranges wide from puppy training + care, all the way too administering medicine for senior dogs and caring for their special needs! I pride myself on ensuring the individual needs of each different pet are met, no matter what they may be! I currently attend Washington State University at the Pullman campus, and am currently home between the months of May and August. I am employed part time, but have plenty of extra time to devote to your fur babies! Safety & client relationships are a top priority in how I care for pets. I believe open communication between a sitter and client is crucial for peace of mind when allowing for someone else to care for your babies. I provide updates, pictures, and messages to ensure comfort on both ends. Honesty is key! I also take home safety seriously when visiting clients' properties. Locking all exterior doors, windows, and garages are a primary focus post-visiting your pet. I understand it may be nerve wracking to invite someone into your space with your furry companion, and I want to ensure I am treating your environment with the upmost respect and care.

About: I've been dog sitting around my neighborhood for families and friends for the last 4 years! At the age of sixteen, my first ever job was at a dog boarding and breeding facility, where I handled dogs of all ages, including caring for newborn puppies and raising them until they were ready for their new homes. Most recently, I've been working at a doggy daycare and boarding facility for the last two years. Here, I've had the experience to care for dogs of all ages, and all different breeds. I've been accustomed to dogs of all different personalities, and have the experience of handling any unexpected situations or issues with dogs. I am currently working part time with a flexible but sometimes changing schedule, and am often available on the weekends, as well as evenings, and some time throughout the weekdays. I am experienced with coming to your home and caring for, watching, or walking your dog/dogs! At the moment, I do not board or care for any dogs in my home.

About: I have been a dog sitter awhile and have gained a lot of experience. I have done overnight stays, check ins, dog walks, and more. I have a puppy of my own and have grown up with dogs my whole life. Neighbors, friends, and more have trusted me to check in on their pets, feed them, and play with them. Worked with many different dogs and various ages. I’m currently working part-time so I have plenty of time to come check in on the pups and play with them. My work schedule does change depending on the week but I am available every day of the week. I am free mornings and nights and would have time mid day to check in on the dogs. I have a fenced yard for my dog and I walk him twice a day so he can get his energy out. I would walk your dogs how ever much is needed. Additionally, I would make sure to check in on them multiple times outside of my other jobs to ensure that they are good and can be let out. I am comfortable making sure any necessary medication is given on time and that they are also fed at there normal times. I know how much pets need to play and I would love to play fetch and more with your pets!!

About: Hi there! I'm a lifelong animal lover with over 25 years of experience caring for dogs and cats. I currently share my home with two sweet cats, one of whom requires daily insulin—so I’m comfortable with specialized care, including giving injections and managing feline diabetes. I’ve been the go-to sitter for friends and family for decades, providing everything from daily walks and meals to snuggles and playtime. Whether your pup needs a brisk walk or your kitty needs a calm presence while you’re away, I’ll treat them like my own. My approach is calm, caring, and always based on what your pet needs to feel safe and loved. I’d love to meet your furry family member and be someone you can trust while you’re away! As someone who works from home, I have the flexibility to provide attentive, reliable care on your animal’s schedule—not mine. Whether it’s a morning visit, mid-day medication, or evening check-in, I can adapt to what your animal needs. My remote work lifestyle allows me to be present, responsive, and consistent—ensuring your furry friend gets the care and companionship they deserve while you're away. When caring for pets in your home, I prioritize maintaining their routine and creating a calm, familiar experience while you're away. I follow your instructions closely—whether that’s feeding schedules, medication (including insulin injections), litter box cleaning, walks, or playtime. For cats, I make sure they have a peaceful space, clean litter, and the gentle companionship they need. For dogs, I provide regular walks, exercise, and plenty of affection to keep them happy and relaxed. I respect your home, keep things tidy, and provide regular updates so you feel confident your pet is in good hands. With a flexible work-from-home schedule, I’m able to offer dependable, responsive care tailored to your pet’s needs.

About: I have walked and have had overnight stays with my neighbors dogs for 6 years now. From big dogs to small dogs and even cats! I prefer no aggressive breeds(pits, shepherds, no huskies etc) I am pretty free during the week now that my daughter has started school. I am a musician also so I am out of town sometimes for shows and gigs, but I do have free time too! If I am not here my parents are wonderful at caring for dogs and have a ton experience so they can also watch your dogs. I don’t have a fenced yard, but I do have a big yard and there are great walking trails around my house. There is also a doggy park near by. I do have an indoor/outdoor cat, but he is chill and warms up easily. If I am not here my parents are wonderful at caring for dogs and have a ton experience so they can also watch your dogs. We help each other out! Only excepting smaller to medium sized dogs for new clients currently. I do not have a fenced yard and keep all dogs on a leash whenever I am outside. They are able to run free in my home though!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
