“Our high energy lab SAL knows a dog lover when she sees one! We get to Irey’s house and I’m dragged up the stairs to the front door. Needless to say I worry not when our dog is there. A clean loving environment where happy dogs abound! Great communication as well.”

“Courtney took amazing care of my dog, Archie. She provided plenty of updates and photos, which gave me peace of mind knowing he was happy and well cared for. Archie came back home happy and relaxed. I highly recommend Courtney to anyone looking for someone reliable and caring.”

“Anji was great! She took wonderful care of our boy Cash, and sent some pictures as he was getting settled. He actually didn't even want to get in the car and kept running back into her house! Guess he must have had so much fun. She was very responsive, and I would recommend!”
“We boarded our dog Snax for a week with Kathie and now that we’re back I’m not sure if he’s happy we’re back! Kathie was very easy to communicate with and truly helped us feel better about leaving our dog for the first time. We got lots of updates with pictures and felt at ease while we were away. We are happy to have found reliable and loving care for our dog!”

“Diahann was so amazing with our little Rocco! He had recently been neutered when he went to stay with her and she took special care to make sure he was healing and happy. She sent us numerous updates, pictures and videos which helped my kids so much because they missed our pup a lot while we were away for 10 days. Rocco had the best time with Diahann and our minds were at ease knowing that he was in great hands! I can’t recommend her enough. 😊”

“We fully appreciate Quang’s help and would be more than happy to work with him again. Quang is responsive and sends many photos every day. Didi had a fun time staying with Quang and came home as a calm and happy dog. Thank you!”

“Hyeyoung and her family took great care of George! She sent great updates each day about George. Her photos are amazing! She made George look like a vogue doggy. I will 100% be rebooking with her!”

“It was our first time leaving our dog with someone that he doesn’t know and Harlie made him feel very comfortable and she gave us frequent updates about our dog including pictures which made us more reassuring that Chewy was in great care and will definitely let her watch my dog again.”

“Booking with Dane was very easy. He responded quickly and drop-off and pick-up were very smooth. Our flight got in late and he and his wife were very flexible with us. Boomer looked like he had a great time and has done nothing but sleep since getting home. I think he was worn out from all his fun! He even came back to us smelling great so a bath must have happened as well!”

“This is our second time boarding Bear with Wendy. We really appreciate the regular updates and her patience with Bear’s separation anxiety. We are so grateful to have had Wendy’s family take care of Bear again because they’re the best. 🙏❤️”

“Emma stayed with Michelle and family for a week and had a great time! Michelle sent pictures and videos of Emma and Lola to let me know she’s having fun on her vacation and getting exercise so I could enjoy my vacation. I knew Emma was safe and taken well care of. I will leave Emma with Michelle and family again.”

“Jamie was wonderful with our dogs during their first stay with them! As nervous puppy parents, we really appreciated the updates she sent, which helped us relax and enjoy our time away. She did a great job managing our puppy, who had a bit of potty-training regression in the new environment, and also helped our dogs get comfortable with the other dogs who were there. We highly recommend Jamie and would definitely book with her again!”

“Kim is great! I was very nervous about leaving my pup with anyone for several days, but Kim did a stellar job keeping me updated. She sent multiple pictures daily and even a video of my pup playing with another, a sure fire way to know my pup was comfortable and having a good time! The fact that she only works with small dogs is also very reassuring since my pup is scared of bigger doggos. She was very responsive to any questions I had and I am confident that I will use her services again in the future. If you're on the fence about who to choose to care for your fur baby, look no further. Kind, dependable, and attentive to even shy and anxious dogs like my own, Kim should be your go to sitter!”

“Pablo had a great time with his new friends at Quinten’s home. I got short, video updates and prompt communication. Quinten was flexible and attentive; we look forward to booking again.”

“Murphy had a wonderful 2 weeks with Keri and Kerry. He had a great time playing with Beau and watching the Seahawks game with the family! I am so glad that I had pick them to care for Murphy and will definitely ask them again when we leave town. They were so caring and patient with my red ball of energy.”

“Diana does a great job taking care of our dog Gracie. She sends regular pictures and updates and communicates well. Her home and neighborhood are beautiful. Another great visit.”

“Lori took fantastic care of Echo (a border collie). She took him on walks, played "find (the toy)" games, and ensured the dogs were all introduced appropriately. Very responsive, also. Highly recommend.”

“Loic, Kristen and their family are great! Very responsive and proactive with sending pictures and updates several times throughout the day. They took great care of our little Ruca, gave her lots of long walks and plenty of pets and attention. We are so glad to have found them and highly recommend them!”

“Esther is the best! Our pup always has a blast playing with the other dogs and loves being part of the pack. He comes home happy, healthy and well-exercised every time.”

About: I grew up playing and taking care of my two dogs, feeding them, bathing them and loving them are some of my favorite and most cherished moments from my childhood. After many years of feeling the void of not having any pets around we recently adopted an absolutely adorable puppy (lab retriever mix) named Hershey. I also used to dog sit for my aunt’s senior dog (Lhasa apso) everytime they needed help. I’m a stay at home dog pawrent to my adorable puppy Hershey, usually home most of the time so your dog will be well taken care of. We have a fully fenced moderate sized backyard and also have an almost 8 month old very friendly chocolate lab retriever mixed puppy to keep you fur child company. You’ll get very frequent updates about your fur child.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
