“My second time booking with Riitta! She is the best. Even though my Yorkie Tucker is shy and introverted Riitta makes him feel at home. She takes extra care to make sure he is comfortable. He was very excited to see her again when I dropped him off. I will be booking again!”

“Our little Milo had a great vacation of his own while we left him with Wendy and her family. He was spoiled to play with other dogs, loved on and was so well cared for. I would highly recommend asking Wendy to look after your pet and we will be using her again when we travel. Thank you Wendy.”

“This is my second go around with Leslie she’s kind and prompt and you can tell she really loved what’s she’s doing. The care she has shown my animal has been a contributing factor on me writing this review as well as trusting her deeply with my baby. My lala loves going over there and her space is clean and open and wants you to feel the most comfortable always. I’m a forever customer ♥️”

“Helen is absolutely amazing. This is the second time she’s watched Tzima and on very late notice. Tzima loves her time there and I feel very confident leaving her in Helen’s care”

“I couldn't have asked for a better experience leaving my small dog with Fiona for three days. From our initial meeting, they showed genuine understanding of the special attention little dogs need. Fiona created a comfortable, safe environment that immediately put my normally anxious pup at ease. They thoughtfully maintained my dog's familiar routine—from specific feeding times to favorite walking routes—which made all the difference in keeping stress levels low. Communication was excellent throughout the stay. I received daily updates with photos showing my happy dog enjoying playtime, and cuddles. It was clear my little one was receiving plenty of attention and affection. What impressed me most was Fiona's attention to detail—they noticed my dog's preference for certain sleeping spots, and adapted accordingly. Upon return, I found my dog relaxed, and clearly content. For such a short stay, the level of care provided was exceptional. I highly recommend this sitter to anyone with a dog needing personalized, attentive care. The peace of mind I enjoyed during my trip was worth every penny!”

“Ben and his family have taken care of our dog 3 times now and we absolutely love them. They are loving and take such good care of our dog. Ben provides pictures and videos throughout our trips. It’s nice to see our dog happy and having fun. We will keep using them for sure!”

“I cannot express my gratitude to Lena. She is more than amazing! This is our second time booking with her and my furbabies were treated as one of their own. She was super professional, extremely supportive and flexible with us. I highly recommend her.”

“I left my almost 2 year-old Border Collie, Theo, with Anping for 5 days, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Since moving to the city, I’ve been searching for a reliable pet sitter for over a year, and I’m so glad I finally found Anping. We initially started with daycare, and after seeing how comfortable Theo was, I felt confident boarding him. I was traveling at the time, and it gave me so much peace of mind knowing Theo was in such good hands—especially since he had been dealing with a sensitive stomach for a few weeks prior. He’s on a special diet and requires careful monitoring, and Anping followed all instructions thoroughly and attentively. What really stood out was the level of communication. Anping provided daily updates, was very responsive, and shared plenty of photos, which made me feel connected and reassured throughout my trip. Theo is a high-energy dog, as most Border Collies are, and Anping made sure he got regular walks and enough activity every day. It’s clear that he does this out of genuine passion and care for dogs. When I picked Theo up, he was incredibly happy—he ran to greet me and then went right back to Anping to keep playing. That alone speaks volumes about the bond they built. I’ve never seen Theo respond that way with other sitters. I would absolutely recommend Anping to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and attentive pet sitter.”

“We recently had our 12 year old lab Eloise stay with Lulu (Lourdez) over the 4th of July weekend. This was her first dog sit with Rover and she did an excellent job. She sent me an update twice a day with pictures and Eloise seemed to be having a good time and getting out on regular walks. If you live in the Talus area and need a dog sitter I highly recommend Lulu and plan to use her services again.”

“We had a wonderful experience with Romy! She took excellent care of Uni and gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. We received regular updates, photos, and could tell our dog was happy, comfortable, and well loved. Romy was reliable, communicative, flexible and treated our dog like her own. We would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring sitter.”

“Loic and Kristen were wonderful with the dogs! They made sure they got plenty of exercise and attention. The dogs loved spending time with their two children, especially Leo!”

“Joshua’s home is a haven for our older but energetic, dog-selective girl, Penny. I can tell she feels so loved and snuggled, and I feel confident and secure that she is safe and has space from other doggos. Joshua also takes the best pictures of her! Truly a great experience, both for doggy parents and for the pup!”

“I would recommend Xin to my family and friends. She kept me informed today 1, I was happy with the pictures and videos. I could tell my little Sebastian was enjoying his stay.”

“Xiaomeng was fantastic in taking care of my old girl. I love the pictures and videos she would send to keep me updated. My dog got sick while Xiaomeng was watching her and she was kind in keeping me informed and taking care of her. I felt so bad she had to deal with that but Xiaomeng reassured me she was okay and we talked about the best course of action to help my dogs stomach issue. I really appreciate her attentiveness and communication.”

“Shon was very good with miso, and so gentle with dogs in general. Had a meet and greet before the boarding and it was nice to see how the house was super dog friendly.”

“AMAZING! Our big, goofy dog was so well loved by Ana Clara for the week we were gone that I am not sure he wanted to come back home. 🙃 After our initial meet and greet, I knew that our dog would be in good hands during our cruise, when I would have very limited cell reception. Ana Clara gave our pup plenty of attention and sent me daily updates and pictures. She let me know that the first night he struggled to settle, but was still eating and drinking. She let me know when he relaxed more and sent me lots of pictures of him playing and being his goofball self, so I know he was happy. Ana Clara understands and clearly loves dogs. If you are looking for a caring, home environment for your dog while you are away, I highly recommend leaving your pup with Ana Clara. 🙂”

“The best! Cathy kept me updated frequently and gave my pup lots of love and attention. She even heated his food in the microwave and hand fed him when he wouldn’t eat. My dog loved to play with Cathy’s daughters and with the other pups boarding with her. She has a spacious fenced backyard. She also has enough designated dog space in the house so the pups can get time to chill if need be. I will 100 percent board with Cathy again. .”

“Janin took wonderful care of our dog. She was very communicative, and her home and big yard are a perfect environment. Our dog had such a fun time playing with friends and hanging out at Janin's, and came home happy and tired.”

“We had a wonderful experience! Vanessa took great care of our furry baby, sent regular pictures and updates, and made us feel completely at ease while we were away. We would happily book with her again and highly recommend her!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Snoqualmie
This was our first time using a pet sitter, and we could not have been luckier than finding Aletya. From the moment we met her, we could feel how caring and loving her environment was. Her two dogs and ours hit it off immediately, and the level of detail she went into before and during drop‑off was incredible. While we were on our trip, she sent daily updates and photos — which our kids absolutely loved. On top of that, our pup had an incident the day before drop‑off, and Aletya stepped up without hesitation. She handled the medication, kept everything on schedule, and somehow made it fun for our dog every single day. Our furry baby had a wonderful time, and we always felt she was being treated like part of Aletya’s own family. At pick‑up, she even shared helpful recommendations for toys and routines that work well for her dogs — and we’ve already adopted them at home. We 100% recommend Aletya for your pet‑sitting needs. She is simply amazing, and your pet will be in a truly loving, attentive, and caring home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
