“Silvana was awesome! She responded quickly and let us book super last minute when our hotel wouldn’t let us check out late. She has a big house and yard and lots of toys, Khya was so excited when she got there! Silvana sent lots of cute pictures as well.”

About: I have experience with my current dog after going through several months of behavioral training as a puppy. I also have experience with senior dogs and cats growing up at my parents home. I also know how to administer medicine both orally and through ear medicine for cats. During the week, early mornings, late afternoons and evenings are best. On the weekends, late afternoons and evenings are best. With enough time, I can accommodate noon appointments. Feeding, outside time, cleaning litter box, and playing/exercise time will all be standard, but it depends on the needs of the cat. I can also administer medicine as well. If boarding at my own home, dogs will have a fenced yard for exercise.

“Cynthia was very quick to respond to my inquires and questions prior to booking. We received several photos and text updates while our girls were in her care. All was good.”

“Kim is wonderful! She took great care of Whitley, and I loved the updates with how Whitley was playing with the other dogs. Kim is extremely responsive to messages and we can’t wait to book with her again in the future. It is such a relief to find somebody we know can take good care of our girl when needed. Thank you, Kim!”
“So grateful that Manish (and family) were able to take Loki last minute while I went for a mountain bike ride. He was very communicative and sent lots of photos and Loki seemed to have a great time playing and walking :) much appreciated! I'll definitely look into his services again if I'm in the area!”

“Michael and his family were wonderful caretakers for our older pup Marley. He sent frequent updates and his daughter drew an adorable picture of our one eyed pup. I look forward to booking with Michael again for future needs!”

About: I have been pet sitting since high school for friends and family. Moved to Seattle and thought I should keep doing it. I was on rover for multiple years in west Seattle and then we had a baby and stopped for a while and only watched for friends and family, now we have moved to North Bend and our daughter is older and ready to get back to watching dogs again. We have our own pup too that is friendly with all dogs.
“Hyeyoung K. was absolutely wonderful! She is so sweet and made our pups feel right at home! This was a new experience for Remi and Ruger. Hyeyoung K. was so pleasant and easy to talk to, which gave us peace of mind leaving them with her for the day. She also sent many adorable photos, videos and updates of our pups, which we loved and appreciated! In addition, she was very flexible and accomodating in regards to drop off and pickup, which was helpful. Her pup, Happy, is also sweet and enjoyed having a playdate. We highly recommend her and her family if you need someone to watch over your furry friends.”

About: I absolutely love dogs! Sadly in October of 2024 my dog of 15 years passed away. We are ready and available to love and support your pup while you are away. It can be stressful having you fur baby go to a new place; rest assured they are in loving and capable hands. We strive to ensure the adjustment to a new place is as easy as possible on your pet. We generally only take 2 pets at a time so there is plenty of time and energy to ensure your pet gets all the love, care, exercise and attention they need! We have been enjoying caring for your pets so much the past year with Rover. Preference for dogs who are good with other dogs, house trained and medium energy requirements. Let’s talk and see if we are a good fit! I am currently working part-time with a flexible schedule and my partner is an animal lover who works from home. We currently have no pets living in the home so plenty of space and time for your family member! We do have a 7 and 4 year old who also love having doggies around and are realllllly adapted to ensuring your pet is safe, loved and help so much with play time! We have a fenced in yard, plenty of space for walks (which we enjoy frequently), Lots of spare toys and energetic and disciplined children to keep them busy! We are ready to support any and all needs your pet may have.
“Our boy came home tired and happy from his daycare. Ana Clara was very attentive and considerate of our anxious puppy’s needs, and made sure to send pictures showing him relaxing and settling in. Highly recommend her!”

“Vanessa took such a good care of our dog. She sent tons of photos during the day and kept us updated on their routine and on my dog’s behavior. She has really cute kids that look like great around dogs and love to give them pets. She is very sweet and responsive, and I will totally recommend her.”

About: I grew up around cats, dogs and hamsters. We have had 2 boxers previously, one of which I have cared for through his late senior years, so I know what extra special care senior animals may need. I am comfortable diaper-changing, walking a their pace and administering medications. I have experience house-sitting and pet-sitting for various pets throughout my life — mostly cats and dogs. My son currently has a Leopard Gecko, so I have some insight into caged reptiles too, but am willing to learn more and care for them too, if needed. I am a Stay-at-Home-Mom with an open schedule. I can easily fit in dog walks, or house-visits to care for a pet. (I have an 1.5 year old daughter who will mostly like need to come with me on these visits.) You can trust me to walk your pet or come pop-in for a visit to feed and care for them. I love all animals and am happy to help them feel loved and less alone while you're gone.
“Maritza and her family were amazing with Nina. This is the first time we have left her at someone’s house and we could not be more pleased. I received tons of photos and video updates and I could tell she was having a ball and came home so happy. I can’t wait to have her stay with them again!”

“Kimberly is the best! Kind and caring to our dog. Friendly, professional and polite to the humans. She provided plenty of updates with photos, so we knew our dog was getting great care. Highly recommend.”

About: I have a 7yr old dog and 4 human kids and husband and I am currently not working so I can handle a lot and have a lot of flexibility. Currently, my weekdays are rather flexible. Weekends are harder and often spent watching the kids playing sports but I could still make weekends work depending on needs. I love going for walks and giving lots of love to pups. My dog loves other dogs even though she has a loud bark. Ideally I would go to your home to pick up dog and then go for a nice walk
“Anisha was great. We only left our pup for a few hours and she made sure they were action packed. He got to go for a run and to the park and hang out with some other dogs, and she sent me videos so I knew he was having a good time. She has a fully fenced yard with a nice tall fence and you can tell she really cares about the dogs. We are pretty particular about who watches our dog and I am totally comfortable dropping him off at Anishas”

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
