Charles was super attentive to my dogs, even changing the dramatic ones coat a few times (which my wife loved in pictures). I had Charles housesit through the big storms this January in Seattle and my house is not an easy one. Its woodstove heated and a hundred years old. In addition to 2 dogs, I also left 2 goats, 11 chickens, 4 runner ducks, and 2 brand new peacocks to handle. I was very nervous leaving all that behind in the bad weather, but Charles knocked it out of the park, even finding some extension cords and heatlamps in my shed to move to the peacock cage. My dogs were thrilled when I got back, which is always a good sign that they got enough attention. I will be requesting Charles for a lot of future trips.”

About: I currently work at a doggy daycare/hotel! I honestly love animals! I could spend all day with them, usually prefer them to people. Honestly, my coworkers might be playing with a dog but be on their phone, that is something I just genuinely can’t do, like it’s hard wired into me. I’m gettin payed to spend time with the pet! Why would I be on my phone? (Enless the pet wants nothing to do with me and we still gotta get the playtime done, respecting boundaries). It's not something hard for me, I just genuinely would rather spend time talking, petting, and playing with the animals than be on my phone. Also, if your pet needs any brushing I’m 100% down! I tend to “pluck” the dogs at work (deshedding them and trying to get rid of any mats), I honestly will sit there and do that for hours if I could and the dog would let me. I find it REALLY satisfying and would love to do it for your pet! At the end of the day, I will always love, give plenty of patience and deeply care for any animal in my care. I’ve got the confidence, the love, and genuine caring nature in me that you may not find in others. I have my own cat I look after and give love to, usually in my private live I'll play video games and cuddle with my cat on my lap. Depending how things go (rent and all that) I would be able to free up more time by staying part-time then full time, offering more time to you guys! Pet care easily fits into my schedule, I am extremely organized and detailed; If I am busy I'll plan out a way to fit pet care into my day as best as I can. So in story short, I can be flexible if you’re willing to negotiate haha! I will use my own pets/day job as an example. In my own home I love messing around with my cat, chasing her down the hall when she speeds! Joining in on her zoomies, and giving her as much attention as I can. At work, I'm always talking to the dogs, I can pet them for literal hours; when both me and the dog are revved up and excited I love throwing the ball with them or playing tug of war, and celebrate in their success! Always make sure the dogs have plenty of water, no gross food is sitting in their room nor that they're in a gross kennel either. I’m good at noticing whether a pet is okay or not, if something’s up and they’re not there usual selves I’m very emotionally tuned in and understand both dog and cat behavior, I respect any and all boundaries the animal puts up and do my best to comfort and reassure them. If the dog wants to play I’m able to confidently read that and happily oblige! I’ve dealt with at least 5 dogs at my work (out of the 100’s because most of them are complete sweet hearts), I’ve gotten to open up to me, these were mean and very scared dogs but I gained their trust and they’re my friends now! Thats something I pride myself in! I'll always look out for the animals, have since I was a kid haha.

About: As an active dog owner to an energetic 8-month-old puppy, I have daily experience with training, crate routines, structured exercise, and positive reinforcement. I’m comfortable with high-energy dogs and larger breeds. I work from home on Thursdays and Fridays and am usually around on the weekends so I had a good amount of flexibility for popping over for a quick, or house visit/stay. (: I have been using Rover weekly, multiple times a week for my own doggo and have learned a lot from these experiences and know what I expect when trusting someone to care for my pet and home. I am happy to do meet and greets before hand and am here to provide the best care so you can be worry free.

About: I’ve cared for cats and dogs since I was 12 and currently have two big dogs and one cat at home who are friendly and used to other animals and people. I handle my cat’s daily care like feeding, playing, and cleaning, and I also have experience giving medication every 12 hours and insulin shots while pet sitting long-term. I’m reliable, patient, and always make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while in my care. I currently work part-time at a retirement home from 3–7pm about three days a week (two weekdays and one weekend day) this changes all the time and I don’t have a set schedule. On workdays, I’m only gone for about four hours and am available mornings and evenings. I’m also a full-time online student through Bellevue Running Start, with one in-person class Monday–Wednesday from 10:00–11:30am and Thursday from 1:00–2:30pm. Outside of those short time blocks, I’m home and available. I occasionally travel for a week or less, but not often. I have lots of free time to watch over your pets! I have two large, friendly dogs at home. While I don’t have a fenced yard, I’m very used to taking my dogs on longer walks and letting them out every couple of hours for exercise and bathroom breaks. I also take them to the dog park so they can safely run and get their energy out. I make sure every pet gets plenty of attention, activity, and supervision to keep them happy and safe.
