“Alexis is very good with my dog, Nola. She keeps me informed throughout her stay to make me comfortable and I have no worries about Nola while I am away. I would recommend her to any.”

“Gianna did a great job with our two active Australian Shepherds. She left the house in great condition and helped us out by watering plants when the temperature was abnormally high. I highly recommend her and look forward to having her watch our two in the future.”

“Natalie took awesome care of our dog and house for 5 days! She was especially skillful helping Luna stay calm during the fireworks following the Seahawks win! We came home to a very happy pup--who now expects multiple walks added to her daily routine :)”

“Abby is a wonderful sitter! We used her for our 2 kitties when we went away for the weekend; she’s communicative, sends lots of photo updates, has a cheerful demeanor, and best of all we came home to the house as we left it and 2 very well cared for kitties. She’s definitely our go to sitter! Thanks!!!”

“Chris was awesome! Our dogs took right to her and the house looked great! She was comfortable when meeting our boisterous dogs and very punctual. She also sends great pics! We will definitely continue booking with Chris!”

“Stephanie took great care of my dogs while I was on my trip. She was very flexible with her start and stop times which helped me out tremendously. She also updated me every day with several pictures. I would not hesitate to book her again.”

“I have put my life on hold for a long time, but leaving my fur babies with anyone is always stressful. However, Elena is a breath of fresh air! She is truly amazing, and I felt at ease with her immediately. Elena is very communicative and sends cute photos to check in regularly. Marley recently lost her brother and has been feeling depressed. The bonus is that Elena has a 2-year-old Shih Tzu/Poodle named Lava, whom we introduced to Marley during a meet and greet. They got along so well that Lava gets to babysit too! I hope this new friendship will help bring Marley out of her shell and support her through the grieving process. I cannot say enough great things about Elena. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring dog nanny who may even teach their fur baby a trick or two! Lava does backward handstands on command so definitely talk to her about dog training, which is a passion of hers.”

“Our pups and home were so well taken care of during our weekend away. Came home to happy, content campers. Chelsea was communicative and shared lots of photos and updates of how everyone was while we were gone. Will definitely have her pup sit for us again!”

“Jayden was amazing with our pets!! We have some unique needs and she was so attentive to detail. We were gone for a week and every day we got an update and she also sent some photos. She took care of the house, and it was clean when we returned home, just as we had left it! Our pets love her and we will for sure be rebooking with her.”

“I get very nervous leaving my dogs with anyone other than family, Ariana did a great job sending me lots of pictures, updates and videos, this helped me relax knowing my pups were safe.”

“Eleanor was great: communicative, responsible, and good with our boys (obviously a kind person with big dog experience). She came over for a meet and greet prior to the sit and showed up early day of for the pass off. She was also neat and respectful of our home, even washing the sheets and remaking the bed prior to departing!”

“Katie is a great house sitter and took wonderful care of our home. She's super responsive and kept us informed the whole time about our pets. When we got back our pets were relaxed and happy and we couldn't be happier.”

About: 🐾 What sets me apart is my lifelong experience with dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities, along with my hands-on experience in training, grooming, and behavior management. Growing up, I helped care for a Schipperke and later two Chihuahuas, where I developed a love for daily walks, grooming, and building strong relationships with dogs. As I got older, I wanted to expand my experience and raise a high-energy working breed, which led me to my Australian Shepherd, Bailey. 🐶 Since bringing Bailey home as a puppy 7 years ago, I’ve participated in obedience training, at-home training, 4-H, showing, herding, and swimming activities. I also learned how to groom her myself and developed a strong understanding of canine body language and behavior. Through raising her from puppyhood to adulthood, I learned how to recognize what dogs are communicating through their actions, energy levels, and routines. ❤️ I later welcomed a second Australian Shepherd, Willow, who has a completely different personality. She’s vocal, energetic, and more sensitive to certain environments, which taught me that every dog has unique needs and triggers. This experience helped me become adaptable and attentive to each dog’s individual personality. 🎓 In addition to caring for my own dogs, I’ve helped owners work on puppy house manners, basic obedience, and simple tricks. I’ve cared for dogs ranging from small companion breeds to larger breeds such as Labradors and German Shepherd mixes. ✨ Whether your dog needs an energetic walking partner, a patient sitter, reinforcement of good manners, or simply someone who understands their unique personality, I strive to provide care that makes them feel safe, understood, and loved. Pet care is already a major part of my daily and weekly routine. As the owner of two Australian Shepherds and a young cat, I’m used to planning my schedule around feeding times, exercise, playtime, grooming, and providing companionship. 🐶 My dogs receive daily walks and enrichment activities, and I regularly brush and groom them to keep them comfortable and healthy. My cat also gets dedicated playtime and attention throughout the day. Caring for pets isn’t something I fit in when I have spare time—it’s already an important part of my lifestyle. Because I’m accustomed to caring for animals with different personalities and energy levels, adding pet sitting, drop-in visits, or walks fits naturally into my routine. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, whether that means going on a long walk, playing fetch, providing enrichment, or simply keeping a pet company while their owner is away. I understand how important consistency is for pets, so I do my best to maintain their normal routines and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. Whether I’m caring for pets in my own home or a client’s home, my goal is to keep their routine as consistent and stress-free as possible. I start by learning about each pet’s schedule, personality, preferences, and any special instructions. I want to know things like feeding routines, exercise needs, favorite activities, medications, areas they are allowed in, and any behaviors or triggers I should be aware of. For dogs, I provide walks, playtime, potty breaks, enrichment, and plenty of companionship. I’m experienced with both high-energy dogs, like my Australian Shepherds, and more laid-back dogs who prefer a slower pace. I also reinforce house manners and any training routines owners are already working on. For cats, I make sure they have fresh food and water, clean litter boxes, playtime, and attention based on their comfort level. As a cat owner myself, I understand that some cats love to socialize while others prefer their space, and I adjust my care accordingly. I also pay close attention to a pet’s behavior and body language. After raising dogs and cats with very different personalities, I’ve learned how important it is to recognize when a pet is excited, nervous, tired, overstimulated, or simply wants affection. Above all, I treat every pet as if they were my own by providing a safe environment, consistent care, lots of love, and regular updates to owners so they can feel confident while they’re away.
“Best dog and house sitter ever!!! Pictures of all the activities done to keep our boys exercised. House looks better than what it did when we left! Kristen was so communicative and treated our dogs like her own, cannot recommend her highly enough!”

“Makela was absolutely incredible to work with from the first meet and greet to our final farewell. Our kitties were given incredible care and company while we were away. Makela stayed in our home so that our kitties were not lonely and that made us comfortable to leave for our trip. Makela made sure to provide us pictures and regular updates throughout our trip to keep us in contact. I would highly recommend Makela!”

“Morgan was excellent! Struck the right balance of keeping us up to date without too much information so we could enjoy our trip. She sent plenty of pictures and really made us feel like our pups had someone who loved them almost as much as us taking care of them. I would highly recommend Morgan to anyone who needs their pups or house watched she was fantastic! We will definitely book with her in the future. P.S. our pups can be a little bit of a pain and she handled everything with finesse and grace. I can't express enough how appreciative we are that she was able to deal with their little quirks!”
“Brianna did a great job watching our house and elderly pup! She had great communication and we appreciated the frequent updates and images. Our house looked just as good as we left it, nothing out of the ordinary. We’ll definitely be using her in the future!”

“Janine did a great job watching our two dogs. She was reliable, communicative, and clearly cared about them. It gave us peace of mind knowing they were in good hands, and they were happy and well cared for when we got back. We’d definitely trust Janine to watch them again and highly recommend her.”

“Sara did an amazing job watching Sierra and Scarlet! She kept them active with walks and play, and she left our house in great shape. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a thoughtful and trustworthy sitter.”

Jayden was great with our golden retriever Fig. We just went through the loss of our senior golden, and Fig needed some extra love and care while we were away, she was very accommodating with that. She updated us daily and left our home clean and tidy! Would definitely rebook with Jayden

Kate was very good at communicating quickly! Our dogs were well taken care of and seemed to have a good time with her watching them! She went above and beyond and watered our outdoor potted flowers to keep them thriving in the hot summer. We will definitely choose to book her again!

Kathryn was fantastic! She watched our dog, Oakley, for 4 days and treated our home with total respect. Our dog immediately warmed up to Kathryn at our meet and greet and was very excited to see her when she arrived to start her sitting. She showed up on time, was great at communicating, and provided daily pics (which we really appreciated). We highly recommend her to anyone needing a reliable and caring sitter. We would certainly book with her again.

This was my first time booking with Julia and she did a great job taking care of my dogs. She was very quick at responding to my messages, updated me on the dogs, and sent me daily pictures. I knew my dogs were in great hands the whole time we were gone. Would definitely have her watch my dogs again!

Gianna was an excellent house sitter. I came home to a happy dog, house in excellent condition, and appreciated the updates and photos that she sent. I also appreciated her last minute availability and how easy it was to coordinate with her. I will definitely ask her to house sit again!

Once again Dawn took wonderful care of our 3 dogs. She followed all instructions for their care. They love being with her. She is always punctual, an excellent communicator and reliable. The house was clean and tidy upon our return. We highly recommend Dawn to anyone!

Eleanor watched our dog Scout for us at our house over a 4-day long weekend. Scout got walks and lots of attention! We felt good leaving Scout in Eleanor’s hands while we were away—she’s communicative and very responsive. And left everything very tidy! We’d have her back for sure!

Sean was awesome. He and my dog did great. I appreciated the walks and play time he spent with Beuford. Sean stayed at my house and we were completely comfortable with him being there. He communicated clearly with us all through the process. I was able to be totally relaxed because I knew my dog was in good hands!
Mia did a great job for us. The animals loved her. Great personality and very reliable. We’ve had our fair share of average sitters, and Mia was well beyond expectations. Fantastic communication. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for the perfect sitter.

This was my first time using Rover and it did not disappoint. We found an amazing dog sitter in Amanda. She took care of our 3 frenchies. She was caring, sent pictures of them playing each day with an update. We asked if she could water our garden and she kept the house in order while we were away. She was fantastic and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. 5 stars!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Maple Valley walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Maple Valley maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Maple Valley choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Maple Valley. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
