“Alexis was great! I appreciated her willingness to help with additional tasks like watering the plants and bringing in mail. We loved receiving daily photos of our Coco while we were on vacation.”

“Elena is such a sweetheart!!! My dog instantly fell in love with her and she was extremely fast at responding. Loved how she would send me lots of photos for updates and kept my dog busy with playing with him for a long time. I cannot wait to book her again she's amazing!!”

“Gianna always does a great job taking after our two active Aussies. She leaves the house in great condition and shares photos to let us know they are doing well. We will definitely use her in the future.”

“Here's a warm, polished review: Selena did an amazing job with Bella! She made sure Bella got plenty of exercise, and I could tell she genuinely cared for her while I was away for the evening. I came home to happy and relaxed pup! Selena was also an excellent communicator, keeping me updated and sending photos throughout the visit, which gave me so much peace of mind. I really appreciated her reliability and the care she showed Bella. I wouldn't hesitate to book with Selena again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring sitter!”

“I get very nervous leaving my dogs with anyone other than family, Ariana did a great job sending me lots of pictures, updates and videos, this helped me relax knowing my pups were safe.”

“Kristen did an absolutely wonderful job house sitting with my 2 high-energy kittens and my grumpy senior cat over a 3-day period. She introduced herself gently and calmly to each cat during our meet and greet and listened to their queues, asked good questions, and was friendly and enthusiastic. When we were on our trip, she sent frequent pictures and updates, talked about when the cats were eating, and gave my old sick cat her medicine. I can tell from the pics that all of the cats liked Kristen and she was playing with the kittens, and the old cat was letting Kristen pet her and letting her know when she was hungry. I really can't recommend her enough, and would be happy to hire her again!”

“Kacey was very understanding of the “special needs” our cats have. She would always check in with us and let us know what was happening. Kacey would also send pictures every time she was with our cats. She went above all expectations we had in a pet sitter!”
“Mandi is incredibly communicative and keep our dogs and cat happy and content while we are away. She’ll provide photos of your animals on a regular basis and is quick to report if anything seems off with any of your pets. Would strongly recommend trusting her with your pets!”

“Christian has looked after our cats for years now and there’s no one we trust more. He always makes sure their feeding, medicine, and nighttime routines are followed. And he makes sure to send pictures and videos for us to see what cute shenanigans they’re up to. He’ll always be our first call when we need our four-legged babies looked after whether it be days, weeks, or months.”

“Our dogs fell in love with Isabel right away! She has a calming energy and is so attentive to their body language. She did great balancing our high energy puppy on top of caring for our senior dog with very specific needs recovering from a CCL repair. Can’t wait to use her again in the future!!”

About: I have had pets my whole life, starting with cats. I got my first dog of my very own at 25 and I have had several dogs since. I am comfortable with all breeds and am capable of basic training, though I am not a professional trainer. I love all animals and can care for most pets no matter the species. I currently work part time for myself and control my own schedule. I often have several days off a week and can do drop ins on days I don’t have prior work booked. I can do early mornings or later in the evenings as well as mid days. I will not be taking pets into my own home as I have my own dog with some dog reactivity/anxiety. We are working through it, but she needs time and space for that. Safety is always my first concern. I will always take the proper precautions to ensure pets are safe and looked after properly. I am familiar with dog behavior and body language and I want to keep them feeling safe and comfortable under my care.
“Katey was amazing. She was very communicative and attuned to my pets needs and personalities. She was reliable and I came home to happy pets. I would definitely use her again!!”

“Stephanie is fantastic. She showed up early, took great care of the pups, and sent plenty of photos and updates. I highly recommend her and look forward to hiring her again.”

“Brandy watched our dogs this past weekend and things went perfectly. (Our first overnight Rover). She was communicative, sent lots of pics, was a respectful guest and the dogs clearly loved her (as evidenced by cute snuggly pics). We recommend Brandy and will hire her again!!”

“Janine did a great job watching our two dogs. She was reliable, communicative, and clearly cared about them. It gave us peace of mind knowing they were in good hands, and they were happy and well cared for when we got back. We’d definitely trust Janine to watch them again and highly recommend her.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Lake Morton-Berrydale
Almost don’t want to tell you how amazing she was during our trip because I want to keep her all to ourselves. She went well above and beyond to get to know our dog and how we are training her beforehand and then treated her like a princess while we were gone. The house was well taken care of too. The fact she loves doing this shows.

Gracie was so patient with my dog Willow. My dog has a lot of separation anxiety and I felt as if Gracie made her feel comfortable as possible. She also gave Willow meds with no problem and fed my chickens as well. She responded quickly and was very easy to work with. Highly recommend 👌

Samantha was absolutely wonderful with our dogs. From the moment she arrived, she brought such calm, kind energy that both pups connected with her right away. She kept us updated throughout her stay with thoughtful messages and photos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. She followed every routine we shared, paid close attention to their personalities and needs, and made sure they felt safe, loved, and comfortable the entire time. We came home to happy dogs and a tidy house — truly the best feeling. We are so grateful for her care and professionalism. Samantha is dependable, compassionate, and clearly loves what does. We will be booking her again.

Jayden was great with our golden retriever Fig. We just went through the loss of our senior golden, and Fig needed some extra love and care while we were away, she was very accommodating with that. She updated us daily and left our home clean and tidy! Would definitely rebook with Jayden

Housesitting with Lauren was chill and very stress-free. Anytime she had questions she reached out, but also checked in with pictures of our pet. Our dachshund loves being at home so she was a perfect fit for housesitting on a long trip. We hope to have her back next time!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Lake Morton-Berrydale walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Lake Morton-Berrydale maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Lake Morton-Berrydale choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
