I've been surrounded by pets my entire life! From a young age I learned the responsibility, dedication, and care that comes along with pets. I have experience with puppies, adult, and senior dogs, kittens and adult cats, and many small animals including but not limited to guinea pigs, rabbits, chinchillas, tortoises, and sugar gliders. I am comfortable with all walks, feeding, bathing, and oral medication. I have experience with reactive/anxious pets, and know how to give them the space they need to feel comfortable. I own my own business and work from home. My husband works from home and is home all day, so plenty of time for cuddles and attention if we're boarding your fur baby! We live in a quiet neighborhood on a dead end street, with a large fenced in back yard for your pups potty breaks and exercise needs! Pets have free reign and are allowed on furniture and the bed, we treat every pet as if they are our own. We do have our own dog (Enzo) but we live in a two level house, and while boarding I stay completely separated in the downstairs part of the house, and the dogs never see each other. The downstairs has its own entrance/exit direct to the fence in back yard, so it's easy to keep everyone apart!

So grateful to have found Samantha! The way she loves on my kitty warms my heart. I always feel so comfortable leaving town so Olive is in such good hands. Samantha was great! She arrived right on time, kept the house very clean, and sent daily texts to keep us informed of the fun her and our dog had. Highly recommend and will use her again!
Samantha did a wonderful job and my typically shy cat warmed up to her right away. Samantha was great at communicating with me, understanding what needed to be done and caring for my cat. My kitty and I are glad we found her!
I almost don't want to write this review, because I want to keep Samantha all to myself! My wife and I found out on a Wednesday that a family member suddenly died and we needed to get from San Diego to North Dakota ASAP. We couldn't take our babies, Auggie (5 months) and Captain (1 year). Both dogs are service animals in training and have never been away from my wife or I for more than 12 hours. I am also a disabled veteran on a fixed income, and was worried that I wasn't going to be able to afford quality care for my babies. Enter Sam. She responded to my request within minutes, confirmed her availability and set up a time to meet the boys. Both our dogs LOVED her, and so we decided to book her services. I can't begin to tell you how much she put me at ease. She sent pictures every few hours over the ten days of our trip, she took our boys to their favorite dog park every day, and was willing to stay at our home with them so they didn't have to readjust to another space. Needless to say, we will be using her again, and soon! Our boys love auntie Samantha now, and I am so relieved that I have a dog/house sitter I can rely on.
Samantha did an amazing job caring for my two mischievous kitties when I went on a last-minute 6-day trip. She sent photos/updates every day, asked questions pertaining to their care, vacuumed, cleaned kitty puke, took out the trash, and watered my plants. I was a tad nervous using Rover for the first time and it was such a load off my mind knowing my furbabies were well cared for, especially since it was the longest I’ve left them since I adopted them in 2019. I highly recommend Samantha for very professional and reliable pet care!
I’ve known Sam for 8 years and she is an animal lover through and through. She has experience taking care of dogs, cats, and chinchillas of all ages from even before we met. She will care for your pet as if it’s her own and my Corgi, Celestia, lights up every time she sees her. Highly recommend!

Schedule
I work a flexible hybrid job, in-office Monday thru Friday from 10am-2pm, and am available any time outside of those hours. My husband works from home and is home all day. We will absolutely make sure your fur baby gets plenty of love and affection!

We live in a quiet neighborhood on a dead end street, with a large fenced in backyard. I am familiar with crate training, potty training, and leash training using positive reinforcement. I also have experience with reactive and anxious dogs.

A typical day
I can provide quality care based on individual breed needs through activities, puzzles, short walks, and tougher hikes. I always carry training treats (given only upon approval of owner), water, and a bowl. San Diego is an incredibly dog friendly city, and I would love to take your pup to a nearby dog park, dog beach, or hiking trail!
