Pet care experience

Dogs are a life passion

I have owned dogs for 58 years, and had exposure to most all sizes. The dogs that have been owned personally range from small to large size; from huskies, poodles to retrievers. Dogs are a life long learning experience. My knowledge is street experience pounding the pavement with my dogs. What has been found is I do not walk them. They walk me. They are the teacher; I am the student. Every dog come in contact with is treated with care, respect, and love. Every dog is held in accountability for safety and behavior both in the home and public. Each dog will receive dependable walking care, combined with a lifetime of training and street wisdom. The dogs, and their health, are a life passion.

Gino was great with our dogs and sent a lot of photos of the dogs to keep me updated during the stay which I appreciated!

We would highly recommend Gino T. He listened when we asked him to allow our reactive poodle terrier to approach him at the “meet and greet”, rather than the other way around. This calmed her and made for a successful board. Gino texted pictures of our girl multiple times a day, allowing us to enjoy a relaxing vacation. Bravo Gino!

Gino is the best! Takes excellent care of our pup and is very communicative. We’ve had him watch Abby for years. Will keep booking him. Thank you Gino!

Gino took good care of our two dogs. We got a lot of updates when we were away for 2 weeks. He also gave medication to our one dog. We will definitely want Gino to take care of our dogs again.

Safety, trust & environment

I have a fenced yard with fencing approximately 6 feet tall. There are no unsupervised or off leash dogs. The dogs behavior will determine the level of security needed. Safety is top Dog priority. So is a satisfied customer. During a requested meet and greet a first time client may see a dog that is crated during an ongoing board. There will be no physical contact between a meet and greet dog, and an ongoing crated dog. A minimal amount of crating for all boards is required to maintain safety of the board dog. The requirement is to protect the meet and greet dog, and the client. If a client's pup is not crate trained for the task crate training can be done as a courtesy free service. Minimal duration can be approximately 30 minutes for meet and greets. Note for first time clients who request a meet greet. For safety and security meet and greets will only be done outside the home. There will be a tour of the front and back yard.

A typical day

Grandview dog park is only about 3 miles away. Dogs behavior will determine a walk in park. There are no off leash dogs. Love to play fetch with dogs. Saltwater State Park is within walking distance with plenty of trails.

I need to know if the dog is potty trained and/or has behavioral issues. I will accept a dog that needs potty and/or basic behavioral training such as walking and basic commands . I cannot accept a dog that has behavioral issues such as viciousness and destructive habits. Separation anxiety is a fact of life for boarded dogs away from their owners. I can always work with that. Dogs in heat will not be accepted. Dogs 100 lb or more that are leash aggressive will also not be accepted. I also require advanced notice of health problems posted in the apps section of special needs/instructions before the board starts. Meet and greets are made to vett such issues in advance.. A courtesy request. Make sure your dog is flea treated prior to beginning of board. One note on fees. The fee is set. Please do not inquire about discounts and taking me off platform. Refer to the Rover policy section. All of my services have a legal business license with both the state of washington and the local city business office. DBA is Gino's dog care.
