Pet care experience
Home-full time-Come join our family
I have worked with animals my whole life, but during the last 8 years with Rover I have learned even more and I have come to see caring for others pets as a passion of mine. My ultimate goal is giving my clients peace of mind knowing when their furry family member is in my care, I will take care of them as if they were my own. We have had so many clients that have become family to us and have such a great experience with our regular family members coming to stay with us time and time again. My whole family is involved in the love and care for my clients when they are in our home. We all enjoy meeting, caring for, and falling in love with our clients. I am thrilled when clients tell me they can enjoy their time away because they know we are taking care of their family members like our own. I board up to 4 dogs at a time in my home and I have worked with all kinds of breeds and personalities. While some can be challenging, all of them are rewarding. Any dog I board needs to be comfortable around other pups, and ok around cats. I find satisfaction in allowing a pet to be themselves in our home and letting them teach us how their different personalities work. I am comfortable with administering medications and have experience with topical, pill, and subcutaneous meds. We recently moved and now have a huge lovely fully fenced front yard to allow our clients to get plenty of stimulation and exercise. I am home for a majority of the day and will be available for potty breaks and company for the majority of the stay. I do occasionally have drop in clients, but will be focused on in home boarding more now and not adding new clients to my drop in roster at this time. I work very hard to make my home a second home for my clients and to that end I do not book a ton of clients at one time. Booking with me means you’ll know your furry friend is getting plenty of individual love and attention. I keep my numbers low for that reason. I want to make sure it is clear that we do have 3 cats in our home. One elderly lady and two young ones who just joined our family. When booking me for boarding it is very important that your pet is comfortable and safe around cats. We can keep them separate, but dog clients must not bark at or threaten our cats during their stay if/when they see them. If your pet is really good with cats they will have full access to the whole house, if not they will be kept in the downstairs(living room/kitchen/diningroom) area of the home, but still get tons of care and interaction from our whole family.

Awesome job as always- thanks for watching our littles.

Zara is so happy at Julie’s house. Thank you for making her so welcome and comfortable ❤️

Julie takes great care of our dog!

Julie is like family with my dog and I have been booking with her for a while. I trust her to take care of my dog Keba and she really loves what she does. I would recommend booking with Julie because she is my go to for care of my little one. You will want to book again with her after your first time because she treats all animals as if they are apart of her family.

So grateful for the wonderful care sweet Julie provides my two littles. She does an amazing job with them each time they are with her.

Julie is so kind and I know my dog Zara is being well loved!

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
I allow my clients to be themselves in my home. If you kennel them, then I will too. If you do not kennel them, then they will never be kenneled here in our home. We generally keep the pups in our living room for sleeping. We do have 3 cats in our home and it is of utmost importance that any client we book is ok/comfortable with cats. While I can keep the cats in a separate part of the house, we do not allow dogs that bark, or threaten our cats in anyway. I do have a couple clients that are fascinated by the cats, but other than staring at them, they leave them alone. It’s also important that any pup that stays with us is comfortable around other dogs, as I board up to 4 dogs at a time. We love that some of our repeat clients have become friends and get so excited when they are here together and get to play together during their stays with us.
A typical day
When the weather and timing allow I have taken many of my clients on hikes and to dog parks to play and exercise. We also now have a large fenced in yard that is perfect for fetch and playing. They will be allowed up the couch(if it’s ok with their family) for cuddles and sleep piles. We fondly call it being dogged. There is no lack of love for animals in this home and we will do our very best to make sure your pet feels at home and at ease. I do board up to 4 dogs at a time, so the dogs I take on as clients must be ok around other pups. We love having a fun time and that includes pups who make friends and can play well together.
