“Pamela was great. Very communicative. Took Sancho for a long walk and sent several pictures dying the 2 hour visit. I felt like he was very safe and well cared for. Thank you Pamela!”

About: I’ve grown up with pets my entire life, and am currently a dog mom to my wonderful fur baby. Throughout the years I have been entrusted to go to peoples houses and care for their dogs, take care of dogs in my own home, and have even been entrusted to care for newborn puppies until they were old enough to go to their homes. I have a special place in my heart for dogs, and I absolutely love any opportunity to meet all kinds of new furry friends and personalities!
About: Growing up I have had experience with dogs and cats of all ages and sizes. I have a love for animals and do my best to ensure they are always safe, comfortable, and happy in my care. I will always take the extra step to ensure everything goes smoothly and seamless. I am currently a full time student at Washington State University so my availability is mainly any of the long weekends from August-April and almost anytime from May-July. I provide my services strictly at other peoples homes. I am able and comfortable to take you pet(s) on walks, feed them, kennel them up, give them oral medication, and other basic pet needs.
“Maya was amazing - we weren't home when Maya came to pick up our dog for a walk and also do a drop-in to just hang out so I left notes with instructions and she was great at following the details. Unfortunately it poured on the day of the walk but Maya managed to keep our dog happy with a long walk and some cuddles. I am extremely happy with how he was taken care of and I will definitely be booking with Maya again.”

About: I have been a pet lover my whole 44 years. I have owned cats and dogs of many breeds, ranging from kitten care to senior pooches needing med regimens. Currently loving on a chinchilla at home, I am delighted to care for pets of all shapes and sizes. This is currently my only gig, so I have all the time to spend with your loved ones. Always happy to discuss complicated pet needs. Care in a client home is at each client’s discretion. You tell me what your love needs and I’ll get it done. You can trust me to communicate important issues and just take care of the small stuff.

“Mary-Elizabeth is great. She is reliable, helpful, and treats our impeccably well. The care and attention she gives our dog, and the updates Ashe shares with us are much appreciated. Highly recommended.”

About: Dogs have always been a big part of my life. Over the past three years, I've helped raise and care for three family dogs, including puppies, and I've regularly looked after dogs for family members and friends. Those experiences have taught me how to care for dogs with different personalities, energy levels, and routines. Whether a dog enjoys long walks, lots of playtime, or simply taking things at a slower pace, I'm patient, dependable, and happy to adapt to what makes them most comfortable. While I'm new to Rover, I'm committed to providing every dog with the same care, attention, and respect I'd give my own. I currently work part-time, so I have the most availability Monday through Thursday, occasionally Fridays and can accommodate morning, afternoon, and many evening walks. I keep my Rover calendar up to date and appreciate booking in advance whenever possible. Once your walk is scheduled, you can count on me to arrive on time, communicate clearly, and give your dog the exercise, attention, and care they deserve. If my availability ever changes, I'll let you know as soon as possible. I treat every dog as if they were my own because I understand the trust that comes with caring for someone's pet. Safety is always my top priority, and I carefully follow each owner's instructions and routine. I'm patient with shy dogs, energetic with playful dogs, and always adapt to each dog's personality and comfort level. I'll communicate throughout the visit with updates and photos so you can feel confident your dog is happy, safe, and well cared for.

“Elizabeth is absolutely AMAZING! This is the very first time using Rover and finding Elizabeth, and retaining her service to check in on my Puppy-Buddy, Liam, has been a fantastic experience. Liam instantly connected with Elizabeth. Elizabeth provided Liam with the care and love he needed while I was away. Liam seemed completely happy every day when I arrived home, and not because he saw me, but because of all the visits he received from Elizabeth. Elizabeth made sure to send plenty of pics and videos of playtime with Liam and this made me very confident that choosing Elizabeth to connect with Liam was the perfect choice. I would give Elizabeth 6 stars and more if given this option. I highly recommend Elizabeth, so long as I don't need her first.”

About: I have cared for dogs and cats throughout my lifetime. I am a pet-assisted therapy researcher and truly believe in the mind and body benefits of caring for animals. The human - animal bond is very real and knowing my dog is being cared for by a responsible and caring individual while I am away is so important. Hence, I provide the same excellent care I expect of someone caring for Soley. I am a semi-retired university professor and I walk my dog every day on average 5 miles. I provide clean and caring pet services for family and friends. I have excellent references. I am a neat conscious and very clean person. I believe in providing my pets the same standard of cleanliness as I do myself and other guests. I am mindful of dogs interacting with other dogs and people when walking them. They are always on a leash.
About: I will often take the extra step with animals to make sure that the anxiety or sadness they may feel is settled when their owner is away. I also have experience with senior animals, and kittens/puppies! I am completely free most of the time! I’m a student at the University of Oregon, because of this I have a flexible schedule in the summer time. I am staying on Island until October when I return to school. I would love to meet some special critters before I leave the rock! I care for pets the way the owners see fit. I will follow instructions, and ensure that the time the critters are with me will not be different from their daily routine.
About: I have grown up with animals my entire life, and I have endless love for them. I enjoy taking them for walks, playing with them, or snuggling on the couch. I can be strict and set rules, while still forming a bond of trust. My schedule is flexible allowing me to easily take care of animals since I am at home the majority of the time. I am active so walking and playing with the animals is not a problem at all. I have a large yard for them to play in, and my home is clean with lots of comfortable places for the dogs or cats.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking.
