“When a child (dog) care emergency popped up at the last minute, I re-downloaded the Rover app, desperately hoping to find someone willing to do a drop-in visit on such short notice. About: I’ve fostered dogs with the company Animal pad in San Diego, I adopted one of those dogs and I volunteer for the Kitsap humane society. I’m recently out of the Navy and about to start school. Looking for short term income where I can have a flexible schedule on the new journey in my life. So I’m already very accustomed to the whole pet boarding regiment and a professional level. About: I had previous experience with working in a doggy day care for about 5 years. The last 3 years i have been a veterinary technician assistant, assisting with animals of all sizes! I currently do work full time. I could probably fit in an evening walk, let’s chat about it! I am free to do the weekends. I have a lot of animals! I have 3 dogs( 2 are large and ones small), and 5 cats! All of my cats are indoor only, they have 3 cat trees and several liter boxes for them. I live on 2.5 acres and my dogs have really good recall, we don’t have any issues with the big ones running off, (the little one sometimes does but only if you arnt watching, which means I’m always watching). I have a pond and couldn’t let it go to waste so i added ducks and geese! One of my cats gets medication, two of my dogs gets medication as well. I trim all my cats nails, one of them i have my husband hold for me because it’s not his favorite thing in the world. I trim all my dogs nails. My little dog gets bathed every 3 weeks (he has really bad allergies). I’m really open to getting to know any animal!
About: Anytime I watch an animal I do my best to keep them in there normal routine. This is especially important with young and senior animals. I have a senior pup and while he’s flexible with me, I understand the stress it can cause animals to be away from there family and out of the daily routine. Sarah, as always, is amazing. I trust her to care for and love my critters like her own. My geriatric kitty cat hauls her old bones out of her heated cat bed to climb down the stairs and greet Sarah. I've seen her do it, and she doesn't even get herself up to greet ME! She's particular and crotchety as all hell, but she loves Sarah. Honestly, there's no greater evidence that somebody is good people as when an old calico gives her stamp of approval consistently. Neko thinks a visit from Auntie Sarah is the best thing.
