About: The Name is Yes-Purr. Shaken, Not Furred. Your pet isn’t just watched - they’re fully cared for like one of my own. With overnight stays and a flexible work-from-home schedule, I build their day around walks, play, meals, and consistent attention tailored to their personality and energy. From shy companions to social butterflies, I make sure they feel safe, settled, and genuinely at ease until you’re home again. I offer dependable, attentive pet care, which means your pet gets a calm, consistent presence throughout the day rather than rushed check-ins. My schedule allows me to integrate walks, feeding, playtime, and litter care into a steady daily rhythm, so your pet’s routine stays stable and stress-free. For dogs, I build in structured walks and breaks around my work blocks, ensuring they get regular exercise and attention between my writing and publishing tasks. For cats, I provide quiet, respectful care with regular check-ins, play, and feeding - always adjusted to their personality and comfort level. I’m flexible and responsive, while still keeping a reliable routine in place. I’m present, observant, and able to notice small changes in behavior or needs quickly. Your pet gets consistent care, your home stays respected, and you get peace of mind knowing someone responsible is there throughout the day - not just stopping by.
“Lisa is amazing with my dog Sunny!! She has helped me with him several times and she always takes such good care of him <3 it’s wonderful to know that he is in good hands while I am away from Home! Lisa always leaves my home clean comfy and tidy and I appreciate her so much!! She is Sunnys Auntie Lisa :)”

“Lauren arrived right ok time, asked questions about Heath’s routine, and sent me updates and pictures throughout the night. Heath is a little shy at first but you could tell he got over it by the cute pictures Lauren shared.”

“Allison is great! Our lady dog is a big handful and Allison was patient with her and communicative with us the entire time. We won’t hesitate to book with her again :)”

“Briana watched our dogs for two nights and did a great job. She followed their routine and communicated very well. Anytime she left the house she would let us know. Our dogs loved her and they got along well. She was very friendly and we would definitely rebook.”

“Ryland was excellent, attentive, and so caring! We got lots of photos and updates about our dog, and we were so reassured that all was well. He took wonderful care of our home and we'll be sure to book him again!”

“Shayla did an amazing job with our 2 dogs. Our youngest is a challenge and she managed her wonderfully. We communicated daily and she sent photos of them. We’ve never had to leave our pups for 8 days before and were quite anxious about it. But Shayla was very responsive to our needs and we came home to 2 happy and healthy pups. I would certainly recommend Shayla.”

“I recently had the pleasure of working with Wendy as a dog sitter, and I can't express enough how impressed I am with her level of preparedness and experience. From the moment we met, it was clear that she has a deep understanding of canine behavior and care. A delightful bonus was when Wendy brought her sweet dog, Honey Pie, along. My dogs got along wonderfully, and Honey Pie's friendly demeanor made the transition smooth for my dogs. It was heartwarming to see them all play together. Wendy’s extensive experience with dogs was evident in everything she did. She was well-prepared with all the necessary supplies and created a safe and engaging environment for my pets. It gave me peace of mind knowing that my dogs were in such capable hands.”

“Dennis was a fantastic sitter. Excellent and regular communication, and he demonstrated real care for our dogs. He was flexible and easy to work with, and the dogs loved him. We will definitely use Dennis again!”

“Lani took excellent care of my high energy Lab while I was out of town for the weekend. This was my dog’s first time with a sitter, and I was very nervous because my dog is highly active, needy, sometimes anxious, very bonded to me, and used to me being with me all the time. Lani was able to meet all of her needs and make her feel comfortable while I was away. She is punctual, reliable, trustworthy, and sent regular updates and photos. I’m so thankful!”

“Sadie took great care of my senior dog. She was very friendly and communicative, and everything in my house was in perfect order when I got home. I would absolutely have Sadie take care of my dog again in the future, she was wonderful.”

About: I have a lot of experience with dogs, and I have taken care of cats. Our family has had 6 dogs and 2 cats over the years. We currently have 4 at home now while I am at college. I take care of 1 of the four dogs regularly when I am at home and before I left for college. The month before I left for college we got a puppy that I helped take care of regularly, especially when my siblings were at High School. I took her out very often during the day, played with her, and fed her 3 times a day, while also taking care of my dog. When my siblings' High School started, I began to care for all 4 dogs, and made sure they had food, water and regular outside time to get out their energy. My experience says 9 years because our oldest dog now is 9. I helped out when I was younger, but had full responsibility once we got another dog (the one I take care of regularly) 7 years ago. I also have experience with cats, as we had one for 4 years. I have also helped out to rescue feral kittens and know how to be gentle with scared cats. As for pet sitting, I have done jobs requiring 2 week house sitting while in my Hometown, and had jobs that require me to come and feed the pets during meal times. I know how to go on walks with dogs, as I have biked and walked with my own dogs and others I have pet-sat many times. I am currently home for the summer from College, and I am available unless I am booked full for sitting and walking. I am trying to earn money this summer on many different side jobs, and I can work my pet sitting/walking around my side-work schedule. As for pet care in my client's home, I can accommodate to your needs. I have most often taken care of the dog inside the house for food and water and take the dog out for walks or in the yard to go to the bathroom.
“Wyatt did a great job watching our two dogs in our home when we were out of town for four days. It was a relief to know they were well taken care of while we were away and when we returned everything was tidy.”

“Spencer is fantastic! He took excellent care of our dog, Windell. He was responsible, sent pictures every day and did everything he was supposed to do, and the place was in good order when we returned. I would highly recommend Spencer for the care of your pet. Thanks, Spencer!”

“Luna was an outstanding pet/house sitter. My situation was kind of unique as our house has been slowly inching towards the end of a major remodel. Luna was flexible and understanding with the people coming and going. She is a great communicator and made sure to check in often. Lots of pics of the dogs kept me from feeling anxious about having a stranger come stay in our house. Everything was perfect when we returned home and I would 100% book Luna again!”

“I almost hate writing this review because then Jessica might get too busy to care for our dog. Jessica was fantastic! She took such good care of our dog. Loved on him. Played with him. Made sure he was not lonely or anxious. She sent regular updates and we felt blessed to know our boy was in great hands. Absolutely will not hesitate to use her services again and again. Thank you Jessica!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Sophia is amazing! She house sat for us for a week and took amazing care of our puppy and home. She was very communicative, giving us regular updates and pics. I would absolutely have her back, and would recommend her 100%! Shes the best!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Poulsbo
Kathrine did an excellent job watching our animals (one dog and two cats) while we were away for four nights. She provided lots of photos and daily updates. She also asked great questions and was able to help our dog when she realized he had a cracked nail that was bothering him. Katherine is very observant, conscientious and professional. The animals loved her and I think the house might have been cleaner when we returned than when we left. Highly recommended!

Bethany was absolutely amazing! She is so great with our dogs by giving them extra cuddles and long walks at the beach. Her dog gets along with our pups so well! She also is so great at keeping our home clean just like how we left it! We highly recommend!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Poulsbo on Rover is $66.6 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Poulsbo walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Poulsbo maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Poulsbo choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Poulsbo. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 94% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
