I work from home with a flexible schedule, which means I have plenty of time to drop by for walks, playtime, or whatever your pup needs! About: I am a mom, a semi-retired ex-Nordi employee, and am currently a part-time school bus driver, and I understand the importance of providing great service and of being responsible for the safety of others' loved ones. I bring extensive experience owning and caring for dogs, having grown up with, dog-sat, and owned various breeds. I love all dogs and have a special place in my heart for bully and pittie-mix breeds. My 2+ years of volunteer experience at PAWS have also provided me with valuable experience caring for dogs with different temperaments and personalities. I've taken dog-training classes at Ahimsa in Ballard, where I learned positive, force-free training techniques. Additionally, I have owned and cared for Cats, Sun Conures, Guinea Pigs, Beta fish, and even an Axolotl! As a part-time school bus driver, I am home a lot on weekdays, always home in the evenings, and on weekends. Your precious pup(s) will have near round-the-clock attention! I have also done dog-sitting at the owner's house. Our house is pet-safe, with a spacious, fully fenced backyard, and is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac within a quiet neighborhood. We currently have no pets of our own and live in a stable, friendly household. I will not board more than one dog at a time UNLESS they are from the same household/owner; in that case, I can board up to 2 dogs. The cul-de-sac is pet-free, so your dog will be safe and secure while they are showered with loving attention and treated with the utmost care & kindness. They'll enjoy a comfortable pet bed, toys, playtime, walks, and their favorite meals. If they like to visit the dog park and you'd like them to get some doggie playtime, I'm happy to accommodate! Frequent walks needed? No problem! Special Dietary/Medication needs? OK! Need a Zoomie-session? All-in. Quiet time & snuggles on the couch needed? 100% YES. In addition, I'm always very happy to provide you with many updates and photos during their stay!

About: I grew up with cats and dogs and love nothing more than to give fur babies my undivided attention! Since moving to Washington 5 years ago, I’ve been caring for friends/neighbors' pets, taking them on walks, feeding them, playing, and watching them while they are out of town. I just adopted my own mixed pup from Seattle Humane in April; let me spoil your sweet kitties and pups! I can work from home most days, and set my own schedule for the most part, so I am able to take short breaks to take pets on walks or work from another home to make sure the pup or kitty isn't alone for extended periods of time. I imagine pet care fitting easily into the days I work from home. I don't currently have any pets in my home. When it comes to pet sitting, I always make sure to open the door slowly if the pet is loose in the house. I let the pet sniff my hand before attempting to touch them, and give them space if they don't seem to want to interact with me. When it comes to walking, I don't walk with headphones in to make sure I can hear what else is going on nearby. I wouldn't take them near spaces where I know there are likely to be other dogs unless that is requested.

About: I'm super passionate about animals and pet care, and I am grateful for every opportunity to hang out with them. I love to spend time getting to know pets, and I am great at adapting to their quirks and needs! As a recent graduate, I'm looking to expand my pet care experience and help people. I'm available all week, and devote most of my time to animals - with my experience including hundreds of hours of pet sitting and dog walking, my role as a wildlife care assistant at PAWS, and experience as a kennel technician at a veterinary clinic! “I can’t recommend Abby highly enough! She took care of my cat in the past, and she was incredibly caring, responsible, and trustworthy and I felt completely at ease knowing he was in her care. My older cat was recently diagnosed with diabetes, and I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to travel again because of his medical needs. He requires medication, so leaving him behind was a huge source of anxiety for me. He is also very shy and tends to hide from people, so I was especially worried about how he would react to someone else caring for him. Abby was so patient and gentle with him, and he really made significant progress with her. She was able to gain his trust enough to handle him and give him his medication, which was a huge relief for me. Managing a diabetic cat takes extra care and attention and Abby handled everything so well. If anything seemed off with him, she immediately notified me, stayed calm, and worked through the situation and even offered to come check on him again later in the evening to make sure he was okay. Knowing she was so attentive and willing to go the extra mile gave me so much peace of mind and allowed me to actually enjoy my trip without constantly worrying. She also took wonderful care of my kitten and gave her much needed extra playtime and attention, which I really appreciated. My kitten loved Abby’s visits and it was so nice knowing both of my cats were getting the individual care and attention they needed. She sent me daily detailed and hilarious updates with pictures and videos, which I absolutely loved. The updates made me feel connected to my cats while I was away and gave me plenty of laughs along the way. Abby truly goes above and beyond, and it’s clear that she genuinely loves animals. I’m so grateful to have someone I can trust with my cats. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a wonderful, compassionate pet sitter, and I will definitely be rebooking with her again.”
