Pet care experience

Enjoy the Outdoors? Let's go!

My name is Izzy (short for Elizabeth) and I live in Poulsbo with my Husband, our two Sons, and our dog Mickey! I have cared for pets my entire life! I retired from the Navy after 21 years in 2022 so my schedule is pretty flexible; plenty of time to hang out with our dog and any guests that we have visiting. We try to spend as much time outside as possible exploring; we hike as much as possible when weather allows and everyone is our care receives daily walks and plenty of play time! North Kitsap Heritage Park is close to us and one of our favorite spots to explore. If you choose us to care for your loved ones, we promise they will be cherished. There are comfy places to lounge in every room and plenty of toys for everyone to share and room for everyone to have fun! We lost our beloved dog Tucker to cancer after 12 years of adventure in August 2021! Both my Husband and I are well versed in administering medication and meeting the individual care needs of your pets. Its important to us that your mind is at ease while you are away...

I thought you should know that I had to euthanize Shadow yesterday, 2 days after his stay. If you had told me on his 2nd day that he was not well, I would not have added a day to his stay. Granted you didn't know how he usually acted but it was clear that he wasn't feeling well when I picked him up on the 4th day. He had a heart condition for which he took pills, and I knew he didn't have long but I wasn't prepared for the sudden change. When I left him he was acting normally, and If I could have known what would happen, I'd never have left him. My regret is that he endured an extra day of stress and I lost a day to comfort him and ease his anxiety. The vet thought the stress and anxiety of his stay likely exacerbated his heart condition and hastened the inevitable. There may have been too much activity for the little guy and he got lost in the shuffle. I hope this experience offers a take away for future stays.

Izzy’s home has a chill and comfortable vibe. It was a quick visit but I know our pups will be in good hands for their longer stay. Thank you!

Izzy is WONDERFUL! She took care of my pup for 4 nights and sent photo updates each day. He looked to be having a great time with the other pups. I can tell he was kept to a schedule because he is not out of sorts being back home. The meet and greet at our local dog park, scheduling the boarding dates, drop off, updates and pick up were so easy I couldn’t have asked for anything better. Thank you so much, Izzy. We will be returning boarders!!!
