About: Hi! I’ve been around animals my entire life, and caring for them has always been part of my everyday world. From a young age, my life has revolved around animals and helping them become the best versions of themselves. Some of my earliest experiences were with cats, including a feral rescue named Misty I bonded with closely as a child. I tend to connect well with animals that are more troubled, reactive, or unsure, and I’m often able to bring out their calmer, more trusting side. Later on in my life, my experience expanded significantly through raising and caring for Golden Retrievers. Growing up around breeding and long-term dog care taught me responsibility, consistency, and how much attention animals need at different stages of life. I’ve been involved in raising dogs from newborns to adulthood, and many of the dogs I’ve helped raise have gone on to become unforgettable adventure companions for their families. Over the past fifteen years, I’ve gained extensive experience working with animals through long-term, hands-on care. My background as a Golden Retriever breeder has given me perspective on how different animals can be, even within the same breed. Every animal has unique preferences, behaviors, and ways of communicating, and learning to recognize those differences has been a major part of my experience. I’m comfortable managing multiple animals at once and handling a range of needs without becoming overwhelmed. I’m most accustomed to larger dogs, but my experience raising puppies has given me the delicacy and awareness needed to care for smaller animals as well. I’m especially familiar with puppies under six months old, including their unpredictable behavior and the extra attention they require. I’ve also worked with dogs that can be semi-reactive in certain situations. While I’m not willing to take on dogs that are broadly aggressive, I retain the right to assess the dog before accepting. I’m most comfortable with working with dogs that are borderline reactive but not reactive-aggressive. I can recognize signs of stress or reactivity, and can manage dogs that are generally well-functioning but may need thoughtful handling in specific situations. I currently have a flexible schedule and am available for drop-ins and walks throughout the day, generally between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm, unless I’m staying at a client’s home for house sitting. Animal care already shapes my daily routine, and I’m used to structuring my day around feeding schedules, exercise, outdoor exposure, and rest. I’m comfortable juggling different routines and planning time and resources around an animal’s specific needs. I’m very conscientious about safety and environmental risks. I pay close attention to doors, gates, toxic plants, household hazards, interactions with unfamiliar animals, and changes in an animal’s behavior. I rely on observation and experience to distinguish between normal behavior and something that may need attention. If something seems off, I communicate clearly and directly, providing context and details without being alarmist. I also enjoy sharing updates and photos so owners feel informed and connected while they’re away. I have experience filming and taking photos of animals especially dogs and cats that don’t sit still - so you’re bound to get a good photo or two of them.

About: I've taken care of dogs, cats, chickens, geese, ducks, and goats over the years. I love all animals and enjoy being around them, watching them and feeding them. I'm currently retired so I have time to spend looking after your pets. I have one dog of my own. A shitzu terrier mix called Penny. I do not have a fenced yard so I walk my own Shitzu Terrier mix on a leash multiple times a day. I have a calm, quiet home and spend time gently getting to know your pets in your home.

About: Hello! I love animals of all shapes and sizes, dogs being my favorites to this day. I have my own dog, a rescue, who joined my family at 6 months old several years ago. Ever since I haven't been able to say no to any furry friends! I have experience with both young and old dogs and their needs, having dog sat and owned one in the past. I am very good with all sizes of dogs as well; large or small, I love them all! Additionally, I am an avid distance runner--- I love the outdoors and will happily take your dog for anything from a leisurely walk to a run. I am fully comfortable with walking dogs through various parks, trail systems, and neighborhoods, and know how to assure their safety in a metropolitan area. My own dog and I run together frequently throughout Overland Park. Due to this, I am also very adept at noticing and caring for canine needs before, after, and during exercise. About: Dogs have been part of my household since childhood. It's a joy to have the chance to teach my daughter how to properly care for them. We love the chance to help friends and neighbors whenever they require it. From quick potty breaks, to walks to overnight care - it makes a difference to take just a little bit of time to help each other out. About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats alike since I was 16. I started by pet sitting overnight for my grandparents while they were on vacation and eventually started pet sitting for friends and family. I’ve handled walking, feeding, enrichment, and medication needs. I’m comfortable with pets of all sizes and dispositions and have no problem staying overnight as needed. I am self-employed and therefore have the flexibility in my schedule to care for your pets in the way they deserve, whether that be an overnight stay or regular walks and potty breaks. My cats sleep in my bed with me and get regular pets and cuddles. I provide enrichment as often as they seem interested. I care for clients’ pets like I would care for my own. If the pets are allowed to sleep on the bed or sit on the furniture with me, I love animal cuddles and am happy to share my space.

About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life and have helped take care of pets for family, friends, and neighbors for years. I’ve cared for both dogs and cats, including a puppy, and I’m comfortable with feeding, walks, playtime, and keeping pets company while their owners are away. I can also do overnights!
