Our Family for Just Your Dog
My son and I LOVE sharing our home and large, fully fenced backyard with one precious pup at a time. Walks, off-leash play time, new toys, snuggles, dog puzzles, and company all day as I work from home… we’ll shower your pup with love and attention. We especially love longer stays! We’ve been dog boarding on Rover since Fall of 2021 and I grew up caring for pets. We live in a dog-friendly neighborhood with wide, quiet streets. During the day dogs love to perch themselves on our sofa and watch the world go by. In the summer, they have all day access to the yard and sunny deck.

We love Wendie so much that we try to plan our trips around her Rover availability! When we drop our dog off at her house, we joke that Sydney is on vacation.
Our dog Lola had a great time with Wendie - wouldn't hesitate to have her stay again! We loved the photos and the obvious attention and care that she gave to Lola.
Blu had such a great time! They gave her puzzles to play with, spent lots of time playing with her, and kept her happy and entertained. She was so excited to see them when we arrived, which made me feel great about leaving her. We’ll definitely be back!
Wende was lovely to work with and has a fantastic set up to support dog sitting. There was a hiccup during the stay that Wendie handled with professionalism and grace. Would book again.

Wendie took great care of our dog, Rusty. She was responsive and easy to work with. Rust really enjoyed his time with her family.

Schedule
School days kick off around 7 am with morning potty and breakfast. Once my kiddo is off to school, we’ll take a 30-60 min walk to the woods or pond before I start my workday. I have a dog bed in my office if they want to be close or they can roam the house and find their own special spot. When I take my work breaks, we might play in the yard or get some good rubs in. If I'll be in meetings for awhile I’ll often set them up with a food puzzle. In the evenings, we’ll play in the yard for some off leash run around time or my kiddo will get into a game of tug of war. On weekends, we’re pretty relaxed — a walk, yard play, and adventures out of the house if they enjoy that. And if they prefer to stay home, they’re welcome to enjoy the house which is cool in the summertime.

Safety, trust & environment
We welcome your input and direction and will request a meet and greet before caring for a dog that’s new to us. For safety, we have a double gate to our front door and doggy seatbelt in the car. We have lots of dog gear so you’ll just need to pack food, harness and whatever will help them settle in.
A typical day
Dogs love to lounge in the sun on our back deck or run zoomies in the yard. We have a Frisbee and chuck-it for yard play and plenty of toys in the dog basket in our livingroom. My boyfriend works a few days from our backyard cottage, so our visiting pups will often come check on each of us throughout the day. We welcome them on the sofa where they can perch themselves and watch the world go by. We also have a variety of food puzzles to challenge their minds and slow them down at meal time (if they eat dry kibble). Evenings, my son will play with your dog while I get dinner ready. He loves playing tug of war, "ball down the hall", giving tummy rubs and getting kisses. At bedtime, we all curl up with a good book on the sofa and invite your dog to join us for quiet family snuggle time. Then one last potty before we head off to bed. My son absolutely loves it when the dogs sleep with him! Weekends are relaxed with time at home, possible baseball game and simple outings. If your dog likes to ride in the car we love bringing them with us as part of the family. Every other weekend my son is with his dad so it would just be me and my boyfriend who is often here and also loves dogs. Summer is a more relaxed schedule

- We want your dog to feel at home with us so please share their routines, favorite activities, commands they know, and your house rules so we can be consistent. We also like to know if they would enjoy short car trips, have any food allergies, take any medicines, have any injuries, and what motivates them (food, snuggles, etc). We're familiar with caring for anxious dogs as long as they’re ok with being home on their own on occasion.
