I am high energy and walk many miles a day. 10 years ago I hired a family member to stay with my pets for 2 weeks. It was the first time I trusted someone to watch my animals. The first time I had been away from my dog. I couldn't get a hold of her so I sent someone over to check on them on the 3rd day. There was a gigantic pile of dog food on the floor and feces and urine everywhere. My poor dog was entirely alone and one of my cats was missing. I was devastated when we came home to discover my cat had passed away from being locked in a hot garage. that was the last time we took a vacation without our pets along. All this to say I know how important it is to have trustworthy pet care and I pride myself on providing it. I also recognize the importance of communication between client and provider.

She was totally trustworthy and communicative for the extended stay, and my pup was so happy upon my return. I’m grateful ShuShu took my pup yesterday on rather short notice. About: We are a dog family. Although not professionally trained, I have done extensive research on dog behaviorism (I work in human behavior so this was naturally interesting to me) and have applied those skills to my own dogs as well as my friends and families dogs. I have two well trained and friendly dogs to play and learn from. We like to go for walks, short hikes, and beaches/lakes. We have a large yard for all the sniffs, training time, zoomies, play, and endless fetch. My daughter loves animals and is gentle, very aware of dog communication styles, and is a pack leader. My home is a three-story townhouse with no backyard, located in a quiet neighborhood with minimal traffic. I accept small dogs or cats that require less activity.
About: I have over 20 years of experience as a dog owner of all ages and sizes. We love dogs and your dog will receive lots of care & attention from us. Currently, my schedule is very flexible to attend to your dog’s needs. Your dog will receive lots of exercise, attention and snuggles from our entire family. We have a large fenced yard and one golden retriever who will also keep your dog company. Usually at least one person is always home so your dog will rarely be left alone. We have lots of extra dog supplies so the only thing you really need to bring is food and their treats. Optional things to pack are any other essentials or other items to help them feel more comfortable. Please let me know if you have any questions! I’m very responsive to messages and I’m also happy to chat via phone or during meet and greets.
About: I grew up taking care of dogs for family members and friends. I’ve been in the veterinary field for almost 4 years so I have experience for emergency situations such as cpr, choking, and illnesses. I was a kennel attendant prior to going to school for veterinary assistance, so walking dogs and cleaning up after them is second nature to me. I have set schedule at my current hospital -Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. So I will not be available until after 6pm on weekdays, and 5pm on Sunday. I don’t have dogs of my own, but I care for several different types canine patients at my current and past jobs at an animal hospital. Kenneling dogs, play time, and walks played apart in my career.
About: I’ve owned dogs my whole life, and have relished in taking care of them and teaching them fun tricks. I have pet-sit for family before, which has included some special needs dogs. I’ve spent a lot of time with friend’s and family’s cats, and plan on getting one myself soon. I also have a lot of experience handling horses and other farm animals, which has made me confident with many different behaviors and sizes of pets. I love reading and studying animal behaviors, and will always listen to them. I currently intern 3 days a week at a horse barn, and am doing a couple hours of babysitting a week as well. I am a college student who is looking for extra cash on select days that I am free. I’m currently living in an apartment, so I am not comfortable with taking care of people’s pets in my home as I don’t think there’s enough space for a dog.
