“Arwen was a great first sitter for our kitten who got plenty on cuddles from her. She also respected Barfi's boundaries and was attentive to her needs. She was on time, flexible and communicative. We'd love to have her again!”

“Kira was an amazing dog sitter! One of our dogs has separation anxiety, and Kira did a great job keeping her calm and cared for. They also asked a lot of great questions to make sure they had all of the information they needed about our dogs while we were gone. They sent us pictures of the dogs and gave status updates while we were gone which was really appreciated! They were very flexible with time too, I was able to book them with just a few days notice, and had to stay out later than expected which was no problem for them. Overall it was a great experience, our pups seemed very happy. Thanks Kira! <3”

“Julianne was a great house sitter / pet sitter for our kitty. She cared for him during a nearly 3 week vacation in May 2024. She stayed in communication with us throughout the trip and always gave me a sense that our cat was cared for with affection and love. Took great care of our house and yard which doesn’t require a whole lot but was a comfort while we were away. I especially appreciated that Julianne is retired and could really spend most of her time here. Highly recommended!”

“Robert (Jackson) was a great guest in our home while he took care of our very large and somewhat immature dog, Congee. He worked with him on his social skills with some of his own pack of dogs and Congee got lots of extra time at the dog park. Congee was well exercised and taken care of. I would definitely recommend him.”

About: I am a seasoned live-in pet sitter (dogs and cats) with years of trusted care. My own pet is a german shepherd I have raised and trained since puppyhood. I am a mature, reliable, and experienced live-in house and pet sitter with many years of hands-on experience caring for dogs, cats, rabbits, and even horses. After retiring from teaching, I moved to the area to be closer to my grandchildren and now live in a condo, which meant leaving my beloved dog with my son. I truly miss the daily companionship of animals and would love to provide attentive, loving care for your pets while you’re away. I understand how important it is to have someone you trust in your home, and I take pride in being respectful, responsible, and detail-oriented—keeping your home secure and your pets comfortable, happy, and well-cared for in their familiar environment. I try to care for pets and homes as if they were my own. I’m calm, attentive, and focused on keeping pets safe, comfortable, and happy in their familiar environment, while maintaining their routines. You can travel with peace of mind knowing your home will be respected and your pets will receive loving, reliable care.
“Sebastian is an exceptional dog sitter who took incredible care of our two elderly dogs. He communicated effectively and went above and beyond our expectations. I felt completely at ease knowing that our dogs were in capable hands. Sebastian is professional, clean, and detail-oriented in his care. He managed to administer medications and feed our hypoglycemic dog at the right times, ensuring their health and well-being. He was also incredibly loving, attentive, and gentle with our dogs and kept the house very tidy. We recently moved here from Texas and were initially hesitant to hire a new sitter because we had a long-standing relationship with our previous one. However, Sebastian proved to be the absolute best, putting my mind at ease with regular updates and photos. If you’re looking for a kind, caring, and trustworthy dog sitter, I highly recommend Sebastian.”

“Anja took on our 5 month old puppy for the first time for one night. It was our first time leaving her (and our 12yo cat). All went well. She took our pup for a walk that seemed to tire her out from the looks of the pictures she sent. All was in order when we came home.”

“Tyler was AMAZING. This was the first time I've hired him and can't say enough about how much I trusted him with all my pets while I was away. He was incredibly communicative - more so than any Rover sitter I've had before. He took such great care of the house and left it spotless (massively appreciated but totally not expected). With two cats and two dogs, I rarely come home to a clean house. I will absolutely hire him again without hesitation!”

“This was the second time Miana cared for paprika. She was very attentive and thoughtful. Shared updates about how she was doing or weird things she was doing when I was away and was fairly communicative. She cared for my place and was accommodating. I’ll definitely have Miana dog sit for me again”

“Allison took great care of our two dogs, mischievous cat, and house. She was very communicative, sent photos, and was very responsive when our cat had some behavioral challenges.”

“Kimberly took exceptional care of both our pets and our home. It was clear from the start that they were comfortable, happy, and genuinely enjoyed their time with her. She was attentive, respectful, and treated everything with care. We would absolutely welcome the opportunity to work with Kimberly again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate sitter.”

About: I have always had dogs ever since I was a baby and I love spending time with them and giving them all the love and attention they need! I grew up with a bull mastiff named belle and took care of her even in her older age and I currently have 2 golden retrievers who are around 6 years old but I helped take care of them when they were puppies as well. I feel comfortable helping senior dogs with any medicine, help moving, or anything else they may need and I'm super comfortable and patient with puppies! I also have 2 cats and have also been around cats since I was a baby and love taking care of them as well! I love playing and being around big dogs but small is great too! :) I am currently a high school senior but I do online classes through running start so I am pretty much home all day and I go away for practice later in the day but I honestly have a pretty open and free schedule during the week! Since I have a flexible schedule with school I am able to stay for a while if your animal needs extra attention or company! I feel very comfortable and confident taking care of dogs since I have always been around them growing up. My mom and me also run a rover business boarding dogs at our house for the last few years as well so I have gotten to take care of lots of different kind of dogs! I really love dogs and cats and it would be a really amazing and fun opportunity for me to help take care of your cats and pups! :)

“Jean is a terrific house and dog sitter. From the first "meet and greet" to the final good bye, I knew our beagle would be in good hands. Jean sent pictures of our beagle to us every day, and provided commentary as to how our pup was doing. It was very apparent that not only did Jean like our dog, but our dog was very comfortable with Jean. Would absolutely use Jean again, and would recommend others do so as well!”

“This was the first time we used Shana's services. She did a wonderful job of taking care of our two dogs and bunny. The morning we were leaving, one of our dogs developed an ear infection. Shana really stepped up, managed meds and got her to the vet for treatment. She also sent some amazing photos daily...photographer quality! Will definitely hire her again.”

“Kristy was great with our pup! She took him to the park and for walks. Communicated well and had a wonderful demeanor. She sent updates and pictures and left the house in great shape! Will definitely be using her services again!”

“Stephani was such a wonderful sitter for our handful of dogs, that have their various needs (i.e., prescriptions) and strong personalities being huskies. Our doggos seemed instantly calm with her during the meet and greet, and when we returned they didn't want to leave her side. We are so appreciative of her staying with them and giving them such love and care!”

“Jessica did a great job with our dog and cats! They were all acting differently due to us not being there so they're just not used to other people. She sent plenty of updates & pics. Will certainly use her when we can!”

The median cost per night for house sitting in Inglewood-Finn Hill is €65

Kim was absolutely fantastic! We felt so comfortable with her staying over night with our 2 frenchies. She took amazing care of them and treated our home as if it was her own. We’ll definitely be rebooking with Kim again and would highly recommend her to anyone. Thank you so much Kim! The doggies can’t wait to see you again!

Mekades watched out girl first a week. She’s a border collie and attached to her humans which means she’s prone to anxiety. Mekades was amazing our girl was calm and happy. She had the magic touch and it was appreciated more than we can write in a tiny review. We will definitely ask for her again. Thank you Mekades!!!

🐾Liane was a PERFECT house sitter for our four pets🐾 We could tell from the way she followed our instructions on our pet’s routines, to being able to give pet medicine, to taking care of our elderly dog, keeping the house clean, and sending us cute updated photos. Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Inglewood-Finn Hill walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Inglewood-Finn Hill maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Inglewood-Finn Hill choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
