“Jolene is awesome, she was well prepared with details about toby. She is a creative person and it was awesome to see her draw Toby! Toby loved her!!”

“Justin has taken care of my two cats, Glady & Pippi, twice now, each time I have come home they are happy and in good spirits. And to top it off my apartment is always clean and in great shape. He is responsive and sends pictures while I am gone which is much appreciated. I highly recommend Justin for petsitting.”

“I didn't have to worry about my fur babies while I was away on a 10-day trip thanks to the care of Sabrina and Daniel! They provided daily updates with lots of photos and it was clear that the dogs were well taken care of and everyone was having a great time. We had a couple of mishaps during our trip (home internet went out and an 18-hour delay on the return flight) and Sabrina and Daniel were flexible, communicated clearly, and took it in stride. We came home to a clean house and happy pups! I'm so glad to have found them and will definitely use them in the future!”

“Karen was amazing watching Reese over the holidays! She made sure her schedule was available to watch him at the times he needed and gave him lots of love while we were away. She communicates well, meaning I never worried about my dog while gone. I came home to a clean house and happy puppy!”

“Davied was an excellent dog sitter, who provided excellent updates! He also cared for our home and rolled with the punches when there was a poop accident in the home. Any pet would be safe and loved in his care.”

“Lisa was great with my corgi Mocha. She was very attentive to mocha. Took great care of her and very communicative. I received many updates and cute pictures. I will definitely be in contact with her again. Such a great experience!!!”

“Mary was fantastic! Our goofy boy Ballard has some overbearing parents, so we were a bit anxious about leaving him with a new friend, but they got along so well. She sent many pictures through her stay which helped me enjoy my vacation. We would definitely use Mary again.”

“Mandy did such a great job with our dog and cat! We appreciated that we were sent daily pictures and we came home to a well-cared for home. 10/10 would book again!”

“Anna is amazing!! We booked her a few times now and will keep rebooking, as long as she’s available. From the moment of our meet & greet, I could tell she had the confidence & ability to care for our 2 energetic pups (Aussie & Golden) and meet their needs. Whether it was fetch sessions in the backyard or walks around the neighborhood. She sent updates and photos often and highlighted their personalities, so we were very at ease while out of town. She stayed at our home while we were out of town on two separate occasions and when we returned the house was very well cared for, along with our dogs. Our pups were definitely met with their needs. Thanks Anna.”

“Carly was great! Our two boys, Teddy (Dog) and Tucker (Cat), loved her, and she gave us great peace of mind while on our trip. Perfect communication and sent us lots of pics!”

“Julie really is *SUPER*! Our special-needs Yorkie received wonderful care. Julie provided daily communication including photos, expertly pampered little Violet with her usual routine, and our home was extremely clean. Next time we go on vacation, checking Julie's availability will be part of our initial planning. She is an intelligent and kind-hearted person who approachs pet sitting as an experienced professional.”

“I’ve been using Uliana for my trips this summer and have been very impressed. The house is spotless and my dog Ginger has been very well taken care of. I would highly recommend Uliana for your pet :)”

“Aileen was outstanding sitting Monte & Beppe during our two weeks away. She was excellent in sending messages & photos of our pets on occasion so we were assured all was well with them. Upon our return, they were both very comfortable and as though we had not been away but ready to return to their daily routine with us. Our place was very tidy and obviously had been well attended to during our absence. We highly recommend Aileen and are currently planning our next time away and hopeful she will be available. Cheers.....A&L and Monte & Beppe (aka LAMB)”

“Myranda was amazing!!! She was communicative, flexible, and went above and beyond with taking care of my dog Mochi and of my place. She even crocheted him the cutest little bow tie. Would 1000% book again and so grateful for her amazing support !”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Meridian
Bryce was enthusiastic, attentive, and took good care of our two cats, including one who needed spraying with a "liquid bandage" to encourage healing of some scrapes. The house (especially the kitchen) was cleaner than when my son and I left----and the sheets were already washed and in the dryer. Thank you, Bryce!
I can’t even begin to describe how FANTASTIC our experience with Jessica has been. She house sat my 2 Goldendoodles for a week. She gave daily descriptive and cute updates with tons of pictures! She is kind, empathetic, sweet, and caring. Our dogs’ demeanor in all her photos and videos were happy and joyful. You can tell she really cares and puts effort into making your pets feel like family. She also left our house nice and tidy which we appreciated and was super flexible with dropping off our key since we weren’t home when she left. I will definitely be rebooking Jessica for our future pet care needs. I’d give her 10 stars if I could! 🌟

Kelly took great care of Poppy for 2 weeks, who is a newer rescue and very shy/skittish at first. She warmed up to her quickly and didn’t want to leave when I picked her up :) Kelly’s communication was great, fast, and consistent and Poppy seemed to really enjoy herself. Highly recommend Kelly for boarding.

Jessie has taken care of my cat and dog 3 times now and each time I’ve felt completely at ease leaving them with her! Even my anxiously attached chocolate lab loves her, we got pictures and videos everyday of him at the park and playing which was amazing. Thanks Jessie!!

Emily took incredible care of my shy and sweet dog, Luna. Even though I was across the country - I felt so safe knowing Luna was in Emily’s care. Emily kept me updated on all their outings and exciting friendship moments and left the place extremely tidy and clean. Would highly recommend Emily!

We had a wonderful experience booking with her! She was super communicative, very flexible and helpful to our circumstances. Our three cats absolutely adored her and it was relieving to know that they were in such great hands. We looked forward to the updates/photos/videos she sent over everyday.

FAQs for House Sitting - Meridian
Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Meridian on Rover is $66.25 per night (as of June 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of June 2026, there are 8,160 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Meridian. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Meridian walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Meridian maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Meridian choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Meridian. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs

- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
