I truly enjoy getting to know the unique qualities of each animal I care for. By understanding their routines and preferences, I can keep them safe, comfortable, and content. I am experienced with medications including pills, subcutaneous B12, and insulin. While I haven't administered cat nebulizers yet, I have done them for people, so am confident learning new techniques as needed. I especially love caring for seniors, and pets with special needs. Thank you for considering me as a guardian for your home and loved ones!

Information Bonnie M. would like to know about your pet

Please fill me in on things your animal especially likes, so we can focus on bonding over those! I am also comfortable with special needs as long as we discuss them fully in advance.

A typical day

During drop-in visits for cats, I start by taking a moment to get acquainted. For some cats, this means enthusiastic petting; for others, a few gentle eye-blinks from across the room. I always follow what makes your cat most comfortable. Next comes playtime with their favorite toys. I might also play soft music, blow catnip bubbles, hide treats for them to find, or spend some time brushing them. I’m trained in Reiki, and I’d be delighted to share some gentle energy work if your pet enjoys it. Finally, I scoop the litter box, refresh water, and provide their meal, making sure everything is clean and comfortable before I leave. Overnights are simply an extended version - I keep gentle routines including light cooking, reading, and writing, allowing your cats to feel secure and cared for.

Sharing calm and joy ~

Pet care experience

I am a homebody who loves writing, reiki, gardening, and spending time in nature. This lifestyle brings a calm energy that many pet parents, especially those with shy or anxious animals, have found very reassuring. I also occasionally work as an RN, demonstrating my attention to detail and reliability. I am organized, responsible, and committed to following the routines that work best for your pet. Over the years I’ve completed 20+ house sits for dozens of animals — including dogs, cats, chickens, and even a few cows — giving me extensive experience caring for both pets and their homes. Currently, I am primarily seeking sits close to my neighborhood in Wallingford, Seattle. I am also open to travel on a case-by-case basis and happy to discuss details with you.

Bonnie took excellent care of my cat Fish! It's clear she has lots of love and patience for cats. She was able to get Fish to warm up to her after a couples days and even got some snuggles towards the end of the sit, which says of a lot since Fish is pretty shy with new people. I came home to a very happy kitty and clean home. I wouldn't hesitate to reach out again the next time I need pet care.

Bonnie went above and beyond as always! We appreciate her attention to detail to everything regarding our cats, and other house things like the garden, mail, and garbage pickup.

Bonnie has taken care of our two cats a few times, and we’ve had a great experience. She’s very attentive during the initial walkthrough, and communicates immediately if anything seems off during the visit. You can tell she’s a cat owner because she’ll proactively make changes to help their care, such as adding a second water bowl when we had thought one would be enough. We’d definitely recommend Bonnie to take care of anyone’s cats!

Bonnie was wonderfully communicative about how Wally was doing and we absolutely loved the photos. Her demeanor clearly made wally feel comfortable and for that we're grateful. We're looking forward to having Bonnie help us again in the future.
