“Margaret did wonderfully with my nervous dog Kona! She pays close attention to detail and followed the care and access instructions to a T. She is very good about reading dog body language and understanding when a pet may be too hot, or too tired and goes off of the signals sent by the dog. She is super sweet and detail oriented and even takes great pictures of the pets under her care! Would absolutely book again!”

“Samantha was wonderful with Jules! Understood Jules telling her she wasn’t going for a walk in the rain and hungout with her instead of forcing her to be an unhappy pup. Will certainly continue to book with her !”

“Chandler was so awesome! She was able to accommodate last minute, and was very flexible when scheduling daily walks. She provided a ton of pictures and took such great care of my pup while I was gone. I would definitely recommend booking her for your pets needs!”

“Davied has been absolutely fantastic! We’ve had him not only stay overnight, but also walk Juno on a regular basis, and he has been consistently reliable as well as incredibly flexible. He truly cares for Juno as if she were his own, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. He made sure she was well cared for, prioritized her daily walks, and kept her routine consistent. On top of that, he took wonderful care of our home during his overnight stay. Everything was in perfect order when we returned:) We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend Davied to anyone looking for dependable, attentive, and genuinely caring pet and home care.”

“Sebastian was super responsive!! I appreciated his check-ins and being really responsive about what was going on. He sent videos and photos which was awesome. Would definitely ask him back!”

“As always Sabrina and Daniel were extraordinary! Our pup is injured and they did an excellent job of getting him out and moving. They spent time time with a short and easy walk. Then spent time playing with Barney in the back yard. It is so comforting to know our dog is in good care!! The reports are helpful and reassuring. And the pics - mad skills in taking images of our sweet puppy!! We LOVE Sabrina and Daniel!! Thank you!”

About: I have always had animals in my life. I grew up with many, many cats, dogs, hamsters, rats, fish, and rabbits. I have been a dog owner and cat owner myself. My husband and I are house sitters and we have travelled around the country completing different house and pet sits. I love being around animals and have the confidence to be the leader of the pack. I will make sure your pets have a great experience without letting them lose all of their good habits. Hopefully, they'll pick up a few more. I will love them like my own and always treat them with respect. My husband and I have been home owners, renters, and guests. So, we know how to care for a home and understand the various day to day tasks as well as unforeseen obstacles that need tending to. As homeowners for many years, we have been on the opposite end of this relationship as well. We have had house sitters care for our home and pets, so we know what it's like to leave a home in someone's care, and we will treat your home as we would treat our own, leaving it in the condition we found it. We have housesitting experience in homes in various states throughout the USA. In addition to looking after the homes, we have cared for pets both young and old. We have experience with elderly pets and with administering medication. We have a lot of experience with injecting insulin and caring for diabetic pets. I currently have a lot of free time and would like to start dog walking and doing drop in visits again. My schedule is fairly flexible. I will care for your pets in your home following your instructions. I am not currently hosting in my home for any of the services.

About: I grew up with dogs and have been around them my entire life, ranging from sizes as small as a chiweenie and as big as an irish wolfhound. My dad has a pet pig with a feeding schedule starting at 5 am, so following a strict routine with pet care comes naturally to me. While I do not currently have pets of my own, I occasionally dog sit for family and friends. I have experience providing oral medications and working with nervous dogs. I’m currently on a break from work, so I am available at all times during the week. Would love to spend time with your pet while you are at work or out of town. Hoping to spend lots of time outside this summer and a new doggy friend is the perfect companion! **If I do not receive a response from a client within 24 hours from the initial request, it will be archived. Please reach out again if you are still interested my services.** **I require a meet and greet before booking with new clients.** I am a quiet and calm person who pays attention to body language. I love when pets are cuddly and playful, but I am adaptable and can match your pet’s personality and needs. I respect their boundaries and give them space to warm up to me. I provide regular updates and pictures when requested and make sure you come home to a clean home and happy pet.

“Top notch rover sitter! She knows everything to do & leaves the place cleaner than she found it. I am very grateful she was able to watch my dog :) 10/10 highly recommend!”

About: Hello! My name is Chase. I am a full-time remote worker who loves all kinds of animals of all shapes and sizes. It all started at the age of 4 with my best friend Sebastian (a lovely and majestic cat). From that point on, I have fallen in love with every animal there is to know. I have always grown up taking care of animals whether it be my own, friends, family, or neighbors. I could never say no! Before moving to the west coast, I regularly fostered dogs and would help them find loving homes so I am very aware and knowledgeable about making new animals very comfortable and attending to their needs. I am very cognizant and have several intense years of experience with very young pets as well as senior care and following any specified regiments. I work full time in a very relaxed remote job in east coast hours so can easily take care of your animal's needs! I have even more flexible time as the day progresses due to the east coast hours. I treat every animal with the utmost love and care. I can follow any specified tasks that you need your animal to go through. I love taking dogs on walks and can have them properly exercised and make sure they have a blast!

Whether it's playtime or keeping them company at home, I'll make sure they feel safe and loved while you're away. Your pet's safety and comfort are my top priorities. I always follow the owner's instructions closely, including feeding schedules, medication, walks, playtime, and any special care your pet needs. About: Hi! My name is Emery, and I have several years of experience caring for pets of all ages, sizes, and personalities. Ever since I was young, I’ve helped my aunt care for dogs and cats through her in-home pet care and boarding business, giving me hands-on experience with a wide variety of pets and their individual needs. My passion for animal care began while helping care for my own elderly dog, which taught me the importance of patience, compassion, and paying close attention to each pet’s comfort. I also have experience administering oral medications, including providing my elderly dog with GABA as part of his care. Whether your pet is energetic and loves long walks or is a senior who needs a slower pace and extra support, I’m happy to tailor my care to their individual needs. If your older dog still enjoys getting outside but can’t walk long distances, I’m more than willing to accommodate them, even if that means using a stroller so they can safely enjoy some fresh air. I understand how important it is to keep your pet’s routine consistent, so I’m committed to carefully following all instructions and preferences you provide. I’m dependable, attentive, and treat every pet as if they were my own. I also love keeping owners connected while they’re away and am happy to send regular updates and plenty of photos, so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for. Whether I’m stopping by for a walk, a drop-in visit, or extended care, my goal is to make every pet feel comfortable, loved, and secure. I would be honored to care for your furry family member and look forward to meeting both you and your pet! I’m a college student and am currently only taking classes from 6-8:30 pm, Monday and Wednesday. Outside these windows of time I have plenty of availability! I am comfortable walking your dog outside and have had experience with protecting my own dog in hostile situations whether that be at a dog park or on a walk. I am able to crate your dog based on their needs, administer medication as needed (capsule or oral), or even follow strict feeding regimens.
“Angela was wonderful. She went the extra mile when she couldn’t get in on the first day and successfully figured out a solution. We would definitely recommend her. Thanks Angela and Rover.”

“Emily is great at communicating and takes my pup, Luna, on great walks! They cover some ground together — which is much appreciated. Luna is very shy but is slowly warming up due to Emily’s kindness, determination, and reliability to show up. Thanks for taking care of Luna!”

About: I’ve had pets in the house since I was born, I love animals and have been trusted to walk, and house sit for many people in my neighborhood. I love all cats and dogs and would love to work with yours. I am currently a college student at Pomona College. I am very much a morning person and most of my classes start around 10am. This leaves plenty of time in the morning for animal visits. Additionally, all my classes are over by 4pm. In my home we are very careful of our pets safety and I would love to do the same for yours. I always make sure my pets are well exercised and I understand how important that is to a dog and their family.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Meridian
Ana really saved us with a last minute booking! She did an incredible job with our chaotic golden retriever puppy and was a true expert with her. She sent the most thoughtful pictures while I was at work and was so communicative. We'll absolutely be booking with her again- thank you so much Ana!

My dog was being a bit of a butt not wanting to walk, but Beetal spent time with her, gave her treats, and was responsive during and before the booking. She even left us a sweet note about how the day went. I would recommend Beetal to anyone else looking for responsible and kind pet care.

Carley was fantastic - she came over to meet our dog the day before she was scheduled to take him for a walk, then showed up for the walk on time, and took our dog for an hour-long walk. It seems our dog took to her immediately, she asked all the right questions during the meet-n-greet, and I'd absolutely reach out to Carley again in the future!

Samantha takes Maisey on walks every weekday and does a phenomenal job. She is incredibly reliable, communicative, and clearly cares about the dogs she works with. Maisey is always excited to see her and comes home happy and well-exercised. I especially appreciate that Samantha takes her on different routes to keep the walks interesting and engaging rather than following the same path every day. She is a very compassionate dog walker!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
