Information Pam R. would like to know about your pet

I love all dogs, but prefer herding or hunting breeds! Are there food or medication concerns? Is your dog crate trained?

A typical day

The world is our oyster! We can lay on the couch, go to the park, trail run on the huge trail system steps from my front door, walk to the coffee shop, go on a hike, or stare at my chickens and cats. Anything you and your dog love to do, we can do while you're gone!

Fenced Yard Close to Trails

Pet care experience

When I'm not working full time at REI (from home!) forecasting fitness clothing, I'm adventuring in the great outdoors, often with a furry companion by my side. I've loved, owned, and trained dogs my whole life! My best friend for the past 10 years has been my border collie Ginger, and we did everything together. We climbed mountains, herded sheep (she did most of the work), ran on the trails behind my house, and even walked to the coffee shop on weekends. My friends and I have a regular "doggy social hour" at the park, because we all agree a tired dog is a happy dog! I have a large fenced yard, chickens (which are dog savvy but can be easily separated into their own area), and friendly indoor cats that are well acquainted with all kinds of dogs. I recently got a new best friend in Loki, a 2 year old border collie who needed a new family that understood high energy herding dogs. Loki is incredibly friendly and loves all dogs regardless of breed, energy level, or activity. He’ll happily chase the ball, wrestle, or lay on the couch and watch tv with new friends. Loki loves to make new friends and is so excited to meet you! While I'm very experienced with active pups, I also love putting on a movie and settling in for a lazy afternoon, so couch potatoes don't worry! Come lay on the couch or go for a run, I'm happy to do anything your dog needs! All animals staying in my home are fitted with a Bluetooth tracking device for additional security, my number one goal is to keep your furry family as safe as I keep my own!
