An Of-fur You Can't Ruffuse
Do you ever get the feeling that dogs just know that certain humans are going to be safe, loving and fun to be around? Well it seems like I am one of those humans! Dogs are just drawn to me and me to them. My name is Gretchen and I LOVE dogs! I have been loving on, caring for and playing with dogs for my entire life. Of course I have cared for my own dogs from a very early age. But I have also treasured times over the years caring for and looking after the fur babies of several of my friends and family members. My experience has mainly been with larger breed dogs like Rottweilers, Golden Retrievers, Labrador Retrievers, and Dalmatians. However I have a lot of practice with the smaller breed dogs (Cocker Spaniels and Pugs) just the same. I work full-time remotely from my home in Lakeland Hills which of-furs me the flexibility and time to care for your pets while you're away. I would love to drop-in to check on your dog, grab the leash and take them for a walk on one of the many trails around the neighborhood. My children are grown (one away at college, the other a sophomore at Auburn Riverside) and we no longer have a dog around after having to put our sweet boy down this past February. Our home is smoke-free with a fully fenced backyard ready to accommodate day-time visits or weekend sleepovers. Your fur baby will have the run of the house! As you can imagine, we all really miss our old man Golden Retriever - Kona. Walking, playing with and caring for other dogs will definitely help in the healing process of the loss of our sweet boy. I would love the opportunity to meet your fur babies and hopefully make a new best friend.

She did a wonderful job taking care of Lynn while I was away. She was reliable, communicative, and very accommodating with Lynn’s needs and schedule. She even offered to stop by and let Lynn out when no visit was scheduled, which I really appreciated. I felt very comfortable knowing Lynn was in good hands. I would definitely recommend her and would be happy to book with her again!
I cannot recommend Gretchen enough! She watched our dog, Kevin, while we were in Alaska and did an absolutely amazing job. From the very beginning, she was incredibly attentive, reliable, communicative, and always on time. Most importantly, she gave Kevin SO much love and attention while we were away, which gave us such peace of mind. Kevin is a very big dog and can be slightly dog aggressive, so I’m always a little nervous leaving him in someone else’s care. Gretchen handled him incredibly well and made me feel completely comfortable knowing he was with her. She clearly understands dogs, was confident with him, and took such great care of him. We came home to a very happy and well-loved Kevin! ❤️ I would 100% trust Gretchen with him again and would recommend her to anyone, especially anyone with a big dog who wants someone they can truly feel confident leaving their pup with!
Gretchen was wonderful! I’m always so nervous to leave our cats anytime we leave but Gretchen was so kind and followed all our instructions perfectly. She went above and beyond to make sure our babies were safe.
Gretchen always takes good care of our cats and sends photos and updates. We know they're in good hands with her. We'll definitely have her take care of them again.
We've used Gretchen several times now, and she has been wonderful every single time. She takes such great care of our pup, and it's obvious she truly loves animals. Our dog is always happy and well cared for, which gives us so much peace of mind when we're away. Gretchen is reliable and communicates well. We never have to worry because we know our pup is in great hands. It's hard to find someone you trust with your pet, and we're so grateful we found her. We highly recommend Gretchen and will absolutely continue booking with her in the future!
