Judith was a very wonderful pet sitter. She made our anxious girl feel right at home! We were very pleased with how caring she was to our dog. Judith eased our worries with updates while we were away, and also gave us many helpful tips on diabetics. It is very hard finding the best care for a diabetic dog, but we found that with Judith. We will definitely have Ziomi stay with her again!

I am an animal lover!

I'm a big animal welfare advocate. Hope to get into rescuing/fostering eventually. Many years ago studied towards becoming a veterinarian but could not complete due to $$. My husband, while in the army, was in the canine corp. where he took care of and trained several dogs. So we both have experience and knowledge in what it takes to properly care for dogs and cats. We recognize that they are feeling and thinking beings and ...

What Judith would like to know about your dog

No breed preference, all are adorable. Need to 1st know health issues and requirements. Feeding practices, what and when and how much. Temperament, what they like and don't like, do they get along with other dogs and cats. Any special instructions the owner may have and of coarse all contact information, including vets, clinics, hospital etc. Oh also that they are current on their shots, spayed/not spayed and any health issues. Must provide proof of vaccinations. VERY IMPORTANT...IS YOUR PET HOUSE TRAINED? WE WILL NO LONGER BE ACCEPTING PETS WHO ARE NOT HOUSE TRAINED! WE HAVE A DOGGY DOOR AND ACCESS TO YARD 24/7. NO POTTY ACCIDENTS, MARKING OR MENTRUAL ISSUES WILL BE ACCEPTABLE DURING THEIR STAY!! PLEASE!

When Judith watches your pet

Here's where we'll take our walks
Probably on the streets around our neighborhood. Would be worried to take to park and perhaps encounter aggressive dogs, loose dogs or unhealthy dogs. But if owner prefers they be walked in parks then we can do that as well. I find that whenever sitting for pets or children you need to be more cautious than perhaps even the parents or owners because they are not your children or pets and you are completely responsible for their well being. There is nothing worse than someone or something getting injured or sick on your watch.

Your dog's sleeping arrangement
Probably in a owner provided doggie bed or crate. Placed where they would most feel comfortable. Or on our covered couch. Our sole interest is to make them feel at home to reduce stress of being away from home. I DO expect owner to provide all food, treats and meds as they deem appropriate. I can not supply food as everyone's requirements are different. When allowed and available will give them goodies (healthy), but owner must supply adequate amount of food and treats for all their pets for the duration of the stay.

Time I'll spend with your dog
As much as it needs, we incorporate are dog in everything we do. If they are tired or moody then we don't bother them with a bunch of activity. But if they want attention and want to be active then we will engage them. Up to the dog, really. Unless the owner has special instructions then we will follow that. I don't like to walk them late at night as I have heard ( never saw or experienced it myself) that there are occasionally coyotes and loose dogs. Don't want to endanger your dog or myself. Also my rates are based on 24 hour periods. So if it is a 1 day stay I do expect pick up 24 hours from the time the owner drops off. Thee is some small leniency but if it is several hours later you may be charged for an extra day. After all I am being hired and paid for a specific amount of time. So please be considerate of that.
