Full Time Doggy Daycare & Boarding

Please read everything 😊 Located 2 minutes off of I-5 on the Auburn/ Federal Way exit. Hi I’m Sara! Rover is my full time job and I offer doggy daycare and boarding. As a dog mom myself, I know how hard it can be to find a trustworthy and reliable sitter to leave our pups with when we go on vacation. My main goal as a Rover Sitter is to give you peace of mind knowing that your dog is receiving the best care while you are on vacation or while you are at work! That means daily pictures (and occasionally videos) of your dog playing, relaxing, and having the best time! I am passionate about what I do, and I love keeping you updated with pictures and videos of the fun activities that your dog participates in while they are here.  We have a very large, fully fenced yard with plenty of room to run and play. Our play area is artificial turf which means no muddy dogs! We also have an in-ground sprinkler system to keep the yard cool in the summer. The dogs are always supervised when playing.  We do host dogs from multiple families at the same time, so it is extremely important that your dog is friendly and gets along well with other dogs.  If you are uncomfortable with this, we will not be the best fit for you.  But, if you are excited to see your dog running, wrestling, and playing chase with all their new friends, this is the place for them!  My goal is to send home a happy and tired pup at the end of their stay🐾 My husband and I have our own three Golden Retrievers Toby, Charlie, and River who we absolutely adore! They are the sweetest goofiest boys who are all extremely well socialized and love to play! We take safety very seriously.  When your dog stays with us, we take several precautions to keep everyone safe:
  - All dogs are fed separately in their crates.
 - Dogs are never left together unattended. All dogs are separated and crated if I need to run a quick errand.
  - All dogs sleep in separate crates. We have crates of all sizes including a walk in kennel for our giant breeds - We have an in-ground sprinkler system that rinses the play field every night. We also disinfect the field with Wysiwash, which kills Giardia, parvovirus, E. Coli and more! - We do not host any MALE pure-bred German Shepherds (unfortunately, we have had too many bad experiences with males of this breed being too dominant). Female German Shepards are welcome. *** All dogs over 1.5-years old must be fixed*** - We do not accept dogs that howl or cry in their crates  - We are unable to host dogs that have high anxiety. THINGS TO KNOW WHEN BOOKING: -         Please have your dog’s Rover bio up to date. -         I do not require that we have a meet-and-greet.  If your dog gets along well with other dogs, I am comfortable meeting you and your pup at the time of drop-off.  -         All dogs need to have a collar with an I.D. tag. No harnesses please, harnesses can cause chafing if left on for too long and dogs can get entangled in them while playing. -         The ONLY thing you should bring is enough food/meds for their stay along with your dog on a leash.  All food/meds should be pre-portioned in disposable sandwich bags (if portions are different for each meal, please label them).  Please put any meds in the same bag with the meal it should be taken with.  If your dog eats canned food, don’t worry about dividing the meals out. -Personal beds/toys/bowls/belongings can cause issues with our group as some pups get possessive over their personal belongings from home.  Do not bring any of these items.  ONLY bring your dog on a leash and food/meds, nothing else. We will provide the other items. -         When you are headed over, please text me with the time your GPS says you will arrive at my house. For example: “On our way, we will be there at 8:42”. Message me again “here” when you arrive, and I will come out to meet you and your pup by the white vinyl gate.  If you have been here for a couple minutes and I have still not responded or come out yet, please ring the Ring Doorbell by the gate and it will sound an alarm even if my phone is on silent or not with me. When you get here I will take your dog inside to meet the other dogs without you. I will introduce them to the group one dog at a time, starting with my dogs.

Our dog loves going to stay with Sara. We know he is in good hands and we can enjoy our time away from home. Highly recommend Sara for all your dog boarding and daycare needs if you dog enjoys other dogs and especially if you dog is active.

Zeus loves, loves, loves doggie daycare with Ms Sara! Especially now that it is pool time! Yay. Thank you so much, Sara. You're the best. Only downside is he cried all the way up the driveway when we left last time!

Doggy Day Care • Jun 20, 2026

We’ve been using Happy Tails for daycare and boarding for several years, and we couldn’t be happier. Our dog, Honey, is extremely anxious around new people, so finding someone she trusts is no small feat. Sara was amazing from the very beginning—Honey took to her right away, which honestly says everything. Sara has a special ability to understand and connect with dogs, especially those with unique needs. Knowing Honey feels safe, comfortable, and excited to be there gives us so much peace of mind. We love that she gets plenty of playtime with other dogs while also receiving attentive, individualized care. Sara is always responsive, communicates quickly, and consistently reassures us that Honey is in great hands. Her kindness, professionalism, and genuine love for the dogs she cares for keep us coming back to Happy Tails every time. We highly recommend Sara and Happy Tails! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Safety, trust & environment

We are so excited to have your dog come stay with us! They are going to have so much fun! What I would like to know about your dog: Does your dog have any exercise or other physical limitations? Are they up to date on vaccinations and shots? Do they have any current injuries I should be aware of (limping, cuts, tumors, infections)? Any former injuries we should be cautious of? Please do not send your dog here if they have been exposed to or are showing signs of kennel cough.
