We have booked Kelly multiple times, and our once-anxious shih tzus were practically dragging my husband across the lawn to greet her this time. They adore “Auntie Kelly” and they were a little sad to leave Khloe behind at the end of the day. I love the regular updates and photos she sends throughout the day, and she truly cares for my dogs as if they were her own. I (still!) highly recommend her!

Kana was so great with Koda. I was anxious about leaving him because he has a big man complex and I was worried about how he would get along with the other dogs but Kana reassured me he’d be fine and gave me updates when I left.

Sarah was fabulous! She provided daycare bright and early in the morning until my husband and I were able to come home from work. Total lifesaver to help provide the best care for our 4 month old puppy, Newt. He loved it there and enjoyed playing around with her two dogs who are total sweethearts. She sent photos of him on his walks and cuddling on the couch. I am so impressed! Thanks, Sarah!

About: Hi, I’m Sierra and I would love to give your pets the quality care they deserve! I am a huge animal lover with many years of experience working with animals. I am very responsible and clean whenever I am a guest in someone's home. I am also insured and bonded through Pet Sitters Associates. I have more than 5 years of professional experience working in overnight pet boarding & doggie day care facilities. I worked 2+ years at Paws Crossing Pet Resort and I also worked 3+ years at PetSmart PetsHotel where I was a supervisor. I have been petsitting full time for a little over 2 years now and I absolutely love it. See my photo gallery for pictures of all kinds of dogs I’ve worked with over the years! On top of my professional experience, I have volunteered at animal shelters, petsat for friends and family, and cared for my own 2 doggies Mugsy and Marley. Throughout my many years of experience I have worked with all kinds of dogs from energetic puppies to older dogs that need extra special care, and everything in between. I have worked with every size and breed you could think of. I have cared for cats and even bunnies too. I have been trained on how to safely administer many kinds of medications and injections if necessary. Because of my extensive experience working with animals I am confident I can keep your pets happy healthy and safe no matter the situation. I have been trained on how to recognize signs of stress or any other signs of concern, and if I notice anything worrisome I will contact you immediately so we can form a plan of action together if needed. Note: I do not bring my dogs with me when I housesit (unless your pets are friendly and want to have a play date we can possibly work that out!). My sister takes care of my dogs for me when I am not home, which is why I have an extra fee for overnight stays of 3+ nights. If you have any questions about my pricing or anything else please reach out!

About: My 18 year old Cairn Terrier has just left for doggie heaven. My home is lonely without him. He was my fourth dog, so I have a lot of experience caring for a furry friend. My rate is low because having to find care for my dog was a major issue when I traveled. It is worth mentioning that I will watch only ONE dog at a time. It must also be a SMALL dog based on the Rover size chart. I am retired, but love to travel. I think it would be unfair to adopt another dog while I am still intending to spend time away from home. It has been a long time since I have been without a dog in my life. I thought taking care of yours would be a good way to have a furry companion when I am home. This is another reason for my low rate. I have a big fenced yard and a lot of left over stuff from my dog to provide a warm welcoming environment for my client's pet.

Kate and her team are fantastic! I really enjoy the updates and photos of River. I also value the meet-and-greet they conduct beforehand to ensure that the personalities of the puppies are compatible. River came home completely worn out, and it was clear that she had a wonderful time there. I will definitely be using her services again!

Jennifer is amazing- a total dog whisperer. Our dog is always a bit nervous around new people and in new settings. He took instantly to Jennifer and was much more relaxed at the end of the day when I picked him up. We’ve worked with Jennifer several times now and she’s been responsive, incredibly reliable, and communicative. I’d definitely recommend her to any of my family or friends.

About: I love pets in general, especially dogs of all shapes and sizes. Although my home is their haven, we rarely spend time indoors when it's not raining outside. I've raised multiple Doberman Pinschers over the years starting at the tender age of 7 weeks and currently have one of my own, so I'm used to stubborn, energetic and messy dogs. I also provide supplemental training using positive reinforcement if a dog is still very young or experiencing behavioral issues that need to be corrected. I believe in treats/rewarding good behavior over correcting bad behavior. I'm firm when I need to be, but I'm never harsh. Lastly, I'm very sensitive to a dog's body language and verbal queues. For example, I can distinguish between anxiety and boredom or when a dog is excited vs aggressive. You won't regret leaving your companion in my care. They will always be treated like family! Feel free to use this referral code for $20 in credit on your first booking: https://www.rover.com/sit/ebraht80961 I opened up my own tech business a couple months ago and I'm currently working from home. I'm available to host, walk and/or check in on your fur baby any day of the week. While your loved one is at my place, they will be able to have the run of it. I’m currently in a 700+ sq ft apartment. There’s definitely room for comfortable walking/running back and forth and the yard right outside my back porch, although unfenced, is huge and allows for easy access to leashed exercising/potty breaks. I always have toys and treats they’re more than welcome to. If house sitting at your home, I’d follow whatever instructions you lay out for me as long as my own dog is able to tag along.

About: I’ve had dogs of all ages and sizes in my life since childhood. I’ve trained several dogs and am very patient and loving to all. I’m currently retired and can work with just about any schedule. Please contact me directly to arrange a time that works best for your pup. I have a fully fenced back yard and currently no animals of my own. Summer I spend most my time on my deck and in my garden. Your pup is welcome to join me. I have recently became a grandma and occasionally am a babysitter. Your pup must be loving towards toddlers to join us unless it’s a short stay that my babies won’t be joining. Contact me for additional scheduling. Thanks for understanding. Besides a few trips to the store or an occasional appointment I am home pretty much 24/7 so I’ll become your pups new bestie 😁 I have a fully fenced backyard. Because we have so many bunnies in our area when we build our fence we attached chicken wire to the bottom of the fence and buried the end in the dirt. So even the littlest of pups are safe!

For years we’ve been searching for a doggy daycare where our two small pups will feel safe and play. We’ve finally found that with Kana and Brian. They make everything easy, communicate well, and our dogs come home happy and tired. We’ve worked with them three times already and look forward to more visits.

We’ve been taking our puppy to Aliesha for a few weeks now and it’s been absolutely amazing. Our pup has very high anxiety and struggles in big daycares. Once we found Aliesha so much of our own stress has been relieved knowing Bruno is so happy at her place and his overall happiness has greatly increased. She provides enrichment activities, lots of yard playtime and even takes him to the nearby creek! I’m so grateful for her kindness to Bruno and for supporting him so well. HIGHLY recommend her for daycare!

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in University Place on Rover is $38.85 per day (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of September 2026, there are 2,951 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across University Place. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your University Place commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 2,951 sitters in University Place, 87% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
