It was helpful that during our initial meet-n-greet she introduced herself to him first outside her home. Then we went inside and she gave him ample time to spend in the environment with her pets. About: My first love was a German Shepherd at age 3, a gift from my grandfather. Since then I have taken care of many dogs, cats, rabbits, birds and other small fur friends all my life. I am a Forever Foster Mom for small dogs above age 8 for Old Dog Haven and right now take care of one small 15 year old fur friend named Tinker. I also have a 9 year old rescue Golden-doodle named Ava. I love taking care of small Dogs and Kitties (in your own home) so much I do not consider it work! I love taking care of your fur friend while you are at work or enjoy a vacation. I prefer small sized dogs up o 26 lbs. who get along with kitties and are non-aggressive. Oh, and we have a rescue Love Bird named Puffy who absolutely loves talking to visitors from his own "house" smile.. “Matt is great sitter! I was so nervous dropping Sammy off because it was the first time I let someone else watch him. My fears were gone when I saw how happy Sammy was. The next time I dropped Sammy off at Matt’s, Sammy was pulling on his leash trying to run up to Matt’s house. Sammy was so excited about the fun he was going to have. About: My 18 year old Cairn Terrier has just left for doggie heaven. My home is lonely without him. He was my fourth dog, so I have a lot of experience caring for a furry friend. My rate is low because having to find care for my dog was a major issue when I traveled. It is worth mentioning that I will watch only ONE dog at a time. It must also be a SMALL dog based on the Rover size chart. I am retired, but love to travel. I think it would be unfair to adopt another dog while I am still intending to spend time away from home. It has been a long time since I have been without a dog in my life. I thought taking care of yours would be a good way to have a furry companion when I am home. This is another reason for my low rate. I have a big fenced yard and a lot of left over stuff from my dog to provide a warm welcoming environment for my client's pet.

About: I have owned or cared for dogs my entire life, with the occasional rodent or scaled creature thrown in. Hopefully not at the same time. I’m comfortable with basic wound cleaning as well as administering medication. After a period working in a pet store I’m also more skilled in ear cleaning, breathing treatments, and temperature taking than I’d care to be. Work situation changed so I’m more open to daytime walks and drop ins. I also keep a weird sleep schedule so if you need a late night drop in or walk, hit me up. Update: I did recently get a dog. He’s a young doodle and prefers to chew on my hair and hands more than toys, but gets along well with other dogs. He sure everyone wants to be his friend. He is young, potty trained and a great playmate. So right now the only way I’m able to sit is if your dog would like new bestie. I am unable to care for pets in my home. I live with my niece and her cat can be a little…stabby, for lack of a better word. In your home, I’ll be following your lead. I do tend to go outside with dogs at night, even with fenced yards. I am always wary of bobcats and coyotes looking for water and snacks. I’m also perfectly comfortable with a pile of animals sleeping in bed with me so if that’s what your animals prefer, I’m here for it.

I don’t work many hours so I still have lots of time to spend with your pets! My cats are indoor only so I know how to navigate escape artists and closing doors real fast. I can bring in mail, take out garbage, take care of chickens, ducks, rabbits and other pets not listed on Rover! I always recommend a meet and greet as well to make sure everyone feels comfortable and stress free!

“I was able to board my dog Tex at Leslie’s on short notice and it turned out to be a great fit. Her dog Bruce is very well trained and got along great with my dog, who’s more interested in human friends than other dogs. She was able to administer his medication with no issues and kept the pups happy and active. She’s reliable, communicative, and took great care of Tex. I will definitely board my dog with her again! :)”
