“Kelly was very quick to respond. She arrived on time to walk Dory and was so kind to send a pic of their walk. She was super easy to communicate with. I definitely recommend Kelly to anyone looking for a reliable dog walker. Thank you so much, Kelly!”

“Chuck has been wonderful with 3 terriers. Very sensitive to the dogs needs when the weather is warm making sure they have rest and water. He also understands our crazy jack Russell and her need to bark at everything she sees. Very patient with her”

“Misao was wonderful! She was very friendly from meet&greet, and always on time, and gave us lots of cute photos and updates! She went above and beyond to give our dog TLC while we were not home. We could tell Denver was very happy. We’ll definitely use her service again! Thank you so much, Misao! :)”

About: I love dogs and I've been around them all my life! I’ve done lots of dog-sitting and dog-walking for family and friends as an adult, and I have my own 3-year-old, high-energy pup. I know how important it is to make sure your pup is well taken care of by someone you both trust and who can help them to have consistency in their routine as much as possible so that it's a fun (not stressful!) experience when you're away. I'd love to help your pup have the activity, play time, and connection they need during the day through drop-in visits and walks. I've done a lot of training with my own pup on his anxiety and reactivity, so I'm very comfortable with supporting puppies and dogs that have their own unique needs. I work from home with a flexible schedule, so I can easily fit walks and drop-in visits into my schedule to make sure you and your dog has what they need for the day. If you need something that isn't listed as available on my calendar, please still reach out so I can try to make it work! I’m happy to follow any special instructions you might have for your dog and their routine so that I’m providing them with consistency, safety, and a fun experience during our time together!
“So happy we found Sean! Clipper immediately felt comfortable with him on our meet and greet. He will treat your pup like his own. I was very happy with the pictures he sent of them on their walk and he was right on time. Very reliable and punctual. We will definitely be using Sean again for Clipper’s walks. Highly recommend!”

“Thank you for your continued amazing work with my Stella girl! We are both so grateful to you! You are always so accommodating and communicative, I appreciate you so much 🥹❤️”

About: Growing up, I helped my family raise cats and for the past 10 years, I’ve spoiled my dogs every day. A few years ago, my wife and I boarded dogs. One Christmas, we were caring for 11 dogs, not to mention our newborn baby. Currently, I have a senior beagle with special care needs and two active, adorable 2-year-old rescue dogs. I also have 2 cats, 4 chickens, and 2 mostly non-feral human children. I work M-F 9-5, so I’m available in the early mornings, midday, and at night. Usually available anytime on the weekends. I have 2 kids under the age of 7, so sometimes things come up which might cause a delay in my schedule, like if my child spills an entire smoothie on herself moments before we leave for a birthday party; that sort of thing. Given that, I can commit to roughly a 1-hour window, not a precise time, when I can drop in to check on your pets. My senior beagle lives a relaxed life of doggy retirement on our couch and, on sunny days, in the backyard. My other dogs love running around our big backyard. I’m comfortable taking care of any needs your dog or cat has, such as crating them, brushing them, and giving them meds.
“Natalie was very friendly and respectful toward us, our dogs and our place. She took all directions very well and even did better care of them than we expected. We just booked her again for next week. Thank you, Natalie!”

“Lydia has been a wonderful addition to my dog walking team. She’s responsive to messages, flexible with individual needs, and dependable with care. She sends quality pictures and updates so I know how the walks went and how my pups are doing during her care. If she has questions or concerns during her time with the dogs she addresses them promptly and respectfully. I can trust no issue or concern will go unnoticed or unreported. I appreciate having Lydia as a trusted member of my team and can count on my dogs being well cared for and loved on while I am away.”

About: The last 2-3 years i have been pet/house sitting full-time. I absolutely take pride in people trusting me in their homes and with their fur babies! I enjoy getting to know your pets. Watching their personalities and making sure they are taken care of while you are away. Know that if you choose me to take care of your pets, I will take care of them to the best of my ability. As if they're my own. Ive worked with elderly pets who need daily medication, feral cats that need a bit more love and patience, and cuddly and playful kitties. When approaching any animal, i make sure to do so while keeping an eye on their body language and making sure they show me signs of feeling safe. Disclaimer: Although, i have worked with feral cats that have had minor behavioral issues, i do not feel comfortable working with any animal (dogs or cats) that has extreme behavior problems (such as aggression at the sight of a new person or attacking even when they're not being interacted with, etc). If you're interested with working with me, we can talk about your pet and see if its something i feel like i can manage and be comfortable with. I currently do not have any other employment. Meaning i have a lot of time to care or your pets while you're away. I do take public transportation. So would have to factor that into getting to and from your home. I prefer to care for your pets in your home. I will make sure to follow the given thorough instruction for feeding and walking schedule, play, medication, etc.
“Alicia was very flexible and understanding! She had great communication, fast reply times, and sent a lot of cute pictures! Even though we just hired her to walk Bella she showed our cat love as well. We would definitely trust her with the care of both our girls again in the future!”

About: I have taken care of my neighbor's dog for 5 years, every time they go out of town. They have always relied on me to take her on long walks! I'm currently working a part time job, so I have plenty of time to walk your pups! I only work two days a week and am flexible on all other days to go on walks. I care for pets by tailoring to their every need! I also feed them, take them for walks and make sure they are comfortable at night.
“Kaylee is amazing with our pup! I can tell she treats and cares for him like he’s her own. I would recommend her to anyone looking for someone to take care of their doggos:)”

“Duri did an amazing job caring for my two pups - ages 13 and 1. My dogs warmed up to her instantly which is always a good feeling. She easily met the exercise needs of both dogs by taking one for a longer walk and swinging back to grab the other. She kept me informed of their walks, observations of eating patterns, and went out of her way to clean up a mess after one dog had an upset stomach. I highly recommend Duri to anyone looking for someone to take great care of your four legged family members and I cant wait to book her again.”

“Rachel was great with my pup's walk! Also was super about communicating with me when we had to troubleshoot my front door lock. Happy to rebook and recommend to anyone!”

About: My name is Owen and Ive lived with pets my entire life, from Boston Terriers to Great Danes. One thing pets have taught me over the years is that your never alone as long as you treat your little friends with love and compassion :) Dog walking and pet sitting is my new summer hobby that not only helps my community but lets me meet new people and awesome pups that need some attention. Ive cared and loved indoor and outdoor dogs and cats leaving me with a large bank of experience leading me to have a knack for understanding what pets need and how they feel.
About: I love animals so much that I completed a PhD studying animal behavior, including spending more than a decade conducting fieldwork in Uganda, DRC, and Indonesia. Having spent my whole life watching and caring for animals, domestic and wild, I am just as comfortable napping on the ground with your laid-back pal or going for a 15-mile hike with your energetic buddy. I have experience caring for all sorts of animals, including puppies still undergoing house training; senior dogs that need special attention due to loss of sight, hearing, and/or mobility; wobbly cats; reptiles of various sorts; and more! Whatever your critter needs are, I have most likely dealt with it before. I have also taken thousands of portraits of animals and would be more than happy to add yours to the collection! I work fully remotely and on my own schedule, so I can accommodate pretty much any scheduling needs or preferences that you and your critter may have. With independent transportation, I can come to (or pick up) your critter, wherever you are located. Whether your critter needs indoor relaxation or outdoor exercise, I can make sure they get what they need.

Rachel is wonderful! We highly recommend her. For the past few years, she has walked our dog, Daisy, for us during the work week. She is reliable, communicative, trustworthy, and Daisy loves her! I also love getting the photos at work of all of Daisy’s belly rubs and adventures. Thank you, Rachel!

We had Eamon walk our lab puppy, Sully, while we were out of town and he did such a great job with him! He truly went above and beyond our expectations and was able to help out last minute when our other care fell through. Our puppy is not the easiest to walk (we are working on it!) but Eamon handled him very well and worked on manners with him. He was very communicative and sent pictures of Sully during the walk. Very trust worthy and reliable and I would highly recommend his care!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
