I appreciated Lydia’s willingness to do a meet-and-greet, and she came across as friendly, responsible, and punctual. However, a few important issues came up that I wish had gone differently. Someone I hadn’t met entered my home using the access code very late at night, which made me uncomfortable. I hadn’t explicitly stated no guests, but I assumed not inviting others into someone else’s home was commonly understood. More concerning, my dog was left alone for about 10 hours one day—beyond the 6–7 hour limit I had clearly discussed—and she would have missed her usual dinnertime. While nothing major went wrong and Lydia was very apologetic and respectful of my wish for the visitor to leave the next morning, I was left with some concerns about judgment. Lastly, I didn’t feel the level of attentiveness and communication I’ve come to expect from a Rover sitter—I only received one update with two photos over several days.

I am so grateful for Lydia and Diago for taking care of Nellie! They are reliable, great with communication & I always am comfortable leaving my dog in their care. I take advantage of booking them a month at a time and they are so flexible with my days and hours. It’s a relief to have such good care!

We were happy at the level of care given our senior dog Bo by Lydia and her brother. They treated him like one of their own. Our house was left in very good condition.

My two mini-schnauzers were well taken care of while we were gone. Much better than boarding them for 9 days. The house was as we left it and our plants were watered. The dogs look healthy and happy. Would use again!

Lydia and her brother Elliot took excellent care of our dogs. They came ahead of time to meet them and to pick up the keys. The dogs had a better experience with a house sitter than being boarded and actually ate their food for once! The place was neat and tidy. No complaints.

Lydia took great care of Bear and Benjamin. She was easy to talk to, flexible around my schedule, and communicative. She treated myself and my pets like family. I would book with Lydia again.
