I’ve been around animals for as long as I can remember and have basically never known a pet-free life. I grew up with my dad, who is a professional dog trainer, so learning how to understand and work with animals started early for me. Over the years I’ve cared for dogs, cats, and even ferrets (yes, really) — I had two ferrets and a cat in college, and now I have two cats of my own. I regularly take care of my family’s pets when they’re out of town, and I take that responsibility seriously while still making sure pets feel relaxed, safe, and loved. I’m excited to expand my pet care and help more families feel comfortable knowing their pets are in good hands.

Kirsten was wonderful with Uma! She took great care of her, kept me updated throughout the stay, and made me feel comfortable knowing Uma was in good hands. She was attentive to Uma’s needs, patient with her puppy energy, and genuinely cared about making sure she was comfortable. Communication was excellent, and I really appreciated the updates and photos. It was clear that Uma was well cared for and happy during her stay. She goes above and beyond every single time and even purchased my dogs a new toy to play with! When my cat was sick and needed some medication, she didn’t hesitate to say “no problem”. Schedule
Pet care fits easily into my daily routine. I have two cats of my own, and playtime is built into our mornings and evenings — it’s something my husband and I genuinely enjoy. We both work full-time (I’m a teacher and he works in the medical field), but during the day my mom or grandmother is home with my son, so there’s always someone around. That means pets are never left without care, attention, or a familiar presence, and I’m able to stick closely to each pet’s normal routine.

Safety, trust & environment
Pets will be safe and comfortable in my home. We own our house and have both a fully fenced backyard and a fenced front yard, giving pets plenty of secure outdoor space. We love getting outside and regularly go on longer walks and trail excursions, so active dogs will get plenty of exercise and enrichment. Daily walks are already part of our routine, often with my son along for the fun. Inside, pets have space to relax, and I can crate a dog if needed or requested. I also have a calm, quiet area of the house for pets who prefer a more peaceful space or need a break from activity.

A typical day
I provide a calm, consistent home environment while making sure your dog gets plenty of activity and enrichment throughout the day. We’ll enjoy regular walks, playtime, and engaging activities tailored to your dog’s energy level, along with opportunities to relax and unwind. I stick to familiar routines for meals, rest, and bedtime so your dog feels secure and comfortable, while still having lots of fun and positive attention. My goal is to make your dog feel happy, well-exercised, and right at home while you’re away.
