About: I've taken care of many of my friends pets, dogs and cats when they are away. I absolutely love doing it! Pets are part of the family! I am currently working part time doing instacart so I am on the road and can stop whenever I need to let them out or take them on a walk. I am also starting school this summer so I will be available after classes as well. I usually stay over at my friend's house whenever they are gone to watch their fur babies. So they feel comfortable and safe in there own space.

About: Hi there! 👋 My name is Kate. I’m a mom of 2, and I have always had a strong love for animals. I have 2 dogs and 4 cats, some of whom are rescues. Growing up, I had a medically fragile dog that I administered insulin to and because of this, animals with disabilities have a special place in my heart. I have experience caring for multiple pets — up to 10 cats at one time. I have cared for pets of all sorts of temperaments and sizes and feel confident that I can provide exceptional care for your pet. It’s extremely important to me that you feel you can not only trust me but know that I will follow your instructions/routine perfectly and treat your pet like they are my own. I am a stay-at-home mom to my 3-year-old. Our days consist of being at home and playing in our backyard when we’re not running the occasional errand. I have open availability morning, afternoon and evening Monday—Sunday. My pets are family, and they are treated just that way. They all love to play, whether it’s fetch in the backyard, puzzle boards stuffed with treats or running after toy mice. In the evenings, they love to cuddle on the couch together. Each of my pets have different needs. Once I understood their personalities and behaviors, I tailored my everyday routine.

About: Hi! I'm Kat, a lifelong dog lover with years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all personalities and needs. I've shared my life with six rescue dogs over the years, and every one of them stayed with me for life. I also had an Off-the-Track Thoroughbred, so I'm comfortable around animals with unique backgrounds and personalities. Today I have three wonderful dogs of my own, including Pippa, who has separation anxiety. Caring for her has taught me the value of patience, consistency, and paying attention to each dog's individual comfort level. I've also worked with rescue dogs that had behavioral challenges, so I understand that every pet is different and deserves compassionate care. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, senior, or just likes things done a certain way, I'll treat them with the same care and respect I'd want for my own. I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else's care, and I take that responsibility seriously. My schedule is flexible, including evenings and holidays, so I'm often available when other sitters aren't. I'm happy to come and go from my own home, taking care of other pets, while also taking care of my own. Every pet has their own routine, and I do my best to keep things as familiar and stress-free as possible. I'll follow your care instructions closely, whether that's feeding schedules, medications, walks, playtime, or simply providing companionship. During walks, your pet's safety is my top priority, and I'll always pay attention to their comfort, pace, and surroundings. For drop-in visits, I'm happy to provide fresh food and water, potty breaks, playtime, enrichment, cuddles (if they're interested!), and lots of updates so you can relax knowing your pet is in good hands. I treat every home with respect and every pet as if they were my own.

About: Hi! I'm a huge animal lover and proud cat mom who genuinely enjoys spending time with pets. I've cared for many dogs of all sizes, whether that means going on walks, playing fetch, or just keeping them company while their families are away. I've also done plenty of drop-in visits for cats and other pets, making sure they're fed, comfortable, and getting lots of attention. I know how important it is to find someone you can trust with your furry family members, and I treat every pet like they're my own. Whether your pet is energetic and loves adventure or prefers cuddles and a quiet companion, I'm happy to match their needs and routine. I'd love the chance to meet your pets and help make your time away stress-free for both of you! My schedule is very flexible during the summer! During the school year, I'm available for pet visits before 7 AM and after 3 PM on weekdays. I'm also available all day on weekends. Whether your pet needs an early morning check-in, an afternoon walk, or weekend care. I'm happy to work with pet parents to find a schedule that best fits their pets' routines. I'd love to help! I believe every pet deserves to feel safe, comfortable, and loved. Their well-being always comes first, and I make sure they are happy, well-fed, hydrated, and getting the attention and care they need. I follow pet parents' instructions closely to maintain each pet's normal routine and provide the best possible care. Whether it's feeding, walks, playtime, litter box care, or medication, I make sure every pet receives attentive, reliable care tailored to their needs. I also pay close attention to each pet's behavior and well-being. If I notice any new, unusual, or concerning behaviors, I will contact the pet parent right away so they can stay informed and involved in their pet's care. I know how important it is to know your pet is doing well while you're away, so I'm always happy to provide regular photo updates and written check-ins. My goal is to give pet parents peace of mind and make sure both they and their pets have a positive, stress free experience.

About: I have been around animals of all kinds my entire life, my mom was always bringing little critters home so I have gotten to experience lots of different four legged friends I have a full house. We have two dogs. A 14 year old miniature Schnauzer named Zoey. A 4 year old Yorki named S'More who thinks he is master of the universe. We also have two cats. A 12 year old ash point lynx named Viktor. And a 2 month old kitten named Roscoe. They are both strays We picked up. And four Sugar Gliders: Stitch, Ziggy, Joey, Gizmo. So to say we have wild daily pet routines would be an understament. I see meeting new pets as making new friends. Because that's what we are to them. I am more than happy to be your fur babies best pal, whether that's someone to play with, or chill with.

About: I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes for many years and currently care for my own dogs every day. I have experience with puppies, including potty training, crate training, basic obedience, socialization, and maintaining consistent routines. I’m comfortable feeding, administering oral medications if needed, taking dogs on walks, providing exercise and enrichment, and recognizing changes in behavior that may indicate a dog isn’t feeling well. I understand that every dog has a unique personality, so I tailor my care to their individual needs while making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I’m home most of the day, which allows me to provide frequent potty breaks, playtime, exercise, and companionship throughout the day. My flexible schedule makes it easy to accommodate each pet’s routine, whether they need regular walks, medication, or extra attention. I homeschool my children, so we’re home consistently and able to give pets plenty of supervision and care. I always make sure pets receive the attention, love, and routine they need to feel comfortable while their owners are away. * Pets are supervised throughout the day. * Fresh water is always available. * Feeding and medication schedules are followed exactly as instructed. * I introduce pets carefully and prioritize everyone’s safety. * I can separate pets if needed to ensure they have their own comfortable space.

About: Hi there! I am a loving, patient dog mom who has never met a pup she didn't like! I have been a rescue dog foster for 5 years and worked with Rover since 2020 - I have cared for dozens of pets of different needs and breeds. I care for dogs with genuine love, patience and positive reinforcement! Meeting new dogs & getting to know their personality is so fun for me. Fostering requires a general love of animals, and home visits to verify you have adequate space to care for the dogs' needs. You must commit to learning about the foster, love it like your own, and communicate with potential adopters about the dogs needs/personality. The goal of fostering is to make dogs as comfortable in a new place as possible. These are all qualities I bring to the table as a pet-sitter. I have a fenced dog run with a potty area, a neighborhood park for walks and playtime, and anything a dog might need for their stay! I understand everyone wants the best possible care for their pet, and will provide a personalized, consistent pet care experience with lots of pictures and communication. Let’s make your time away a doggy vacation that is anxiety-free! I can't wait to hear about your fur baby! I am home full-time, so I have a free schedule for playing, potty breaks and exercise! Just let me know your pets schedule and needs and I will work it into my day. I have a fenced back dog run, free space to roam or a separate enclosed space if needed. I am happy to accommodate your pup however you need!

About: I have always loved animals...growing up we had dogs, cats, fish & rabbits. Six years ago I got lucky enough to become "step mom" to two wonderful basset hounds, they have been pure joy. They love taking walks and being petted or getting loved on and they love other animals- they are friendly and loving to everyone. My step daughter is special needs and adores animals of all kinds, we are very hands on and a safe place for your pets to land. We have a fenced in back yard so the dogs can be outside playing together and getting fresh air weather permitted. We live near parks so we will happily take them on walks. About: Available for last minute/odd schedule requests. Everything sets me apart from others because I've learned over all my yrs experience that when trust is shown trust is given. Then everything else falls into place. ***Available for last minute/odd schedule requests.*** Animals are my escape I enjoy all of them! Life would be boring without them. They bring so much happiness to me!!!l Life is just better with them in it to enjoy with us. Remember ***(Available for last minute/odd schedule requests.)*** Fur babies run the roost! I usually take them out every half hour just for exercise or fun as well as potty breaks (which is a good way to break bad marking habits for ones training). If it's a nice day usually we are outside all day playing and walking teaching the ones who are still in need of guided assistance. Which actually makes things way easier on me. Unless of course it's just to hot to be out side. Rainy days are our lazy days or indoor activity days. Lots of cuddles and loves. My personal fur babies are not kenneled but I do have kennels for ones who prefer it. It's whatever makes them happiest. Or feel the safest. I'm a pretty good judge of character when it comes to fur babies. We read one another very well. Which in turn makes us more comfy with one another. I don't think I've ever had a bad experience with one ever.i know when to back off or come in for loves. Mutal respect is the best policy I feel.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
