“Kristine and Lauren were amazing with my babies. Communication was stellar and coming home the house was probably cleaner than I left it. I would use them again as the proof is in the pudding - cats and dog are very happy.”

“Shannon provided FABULOUS care of our dog, Rex, for 11 days at our home. From the start, our sweet but nervous dog was comfortable with her; even at the meet-and-greet, when we all sat down to chat he lay right at her feet! She understood what we required (e.g., giving medicine twice a day and long walks twice a day) and delivered with constant fidelity. She checked in with us for anything new - walking Rex in a different place, taking him in her car for an errand and walk, having someone over for dinner. (All of which were just fine with us - but she asked!) She texted every day, often with photos. She took out the trash and recycling on her last day, and even changed the bed so we had clean sheets when we got home late at night. It was clear that Rex was comfortable with Shannon throughout our trip and that he was both safe and happy. If we weren't moving away soon, we would DEFINITELY have her take care of our dog again.”

“Victoria was a great sitter! We got plenty of updates while we were away and felt confident our dogs were being taken care of. Our dogs can get very anxious and need attention often, and Victoria had no problem making them feel comfortable and safe. We would definitely recommend her!”

“Caroline was a wonderful sitter! She took great care of our dog and went above and beyond to accommodate unexpected situations. We felt extremely comfortable having her and are grateful for the many ways she helped us when we were traveling. We highly recommend her!”

“It can be hard leaving our senior dog, but it was such a relief knowing Khaytlen was with her and she felt safe and comfortable. We appreciated all of the photos, updates and great communication!”

“Emily is great with my pups. I received updates throughout the day and she understood the importance of their medication. She kept both my dogs calm and relaxed while we were away. Highly recommend Emily.”

“Natalie is fabulous! She took excellent care of our dog while we were away for 10 days. She spoiled him with lots cuddles and playtime, just as we had asked! She followed our directions and she kept in touch the whole time. Excellent communication. Absolutely would recommend.”

“Drew really cares about animals. They went above and beyond to take care of my dog Oakley often times taking them to the park and paid close attention to details about my dog. Communication was top tier and she always updated me with pictures! If I ever need to book again I’m choosing drew!”

“Ukaesia did a great job taking care of our senior cat. He has medicine to take everyday and she provided it daily with no issues. I received a photo each time she was at the house and she followed everything I needed her to do with our litter box. I highly recommend her as she is super to work with, communicated clearly and provided excellent care.”

“Ashley and her son took wonderful care of our Golden retriever Milo and Kitty Kerplunk. They kept them active with walks and play time and plenty of cuddles. We loved the picture updates so we could relax and enjoy our trip knowing they were well taken care of. The house was left clean and fur babies happy. I highly recommend Ashley to watch your furry family.”

“Christina did a fabulous job watching over a very busy and very mouthy GSD puppy. She also looked after our older cat, administering insulin injections to keep his blood sugar under control. Thank you, Christina!”

“I know we've left a million reviews for y'all, but I can't express enough how much stress you guys have helped alleviate with our pet sitting. We always know the animals get spoiled, are safe, and the house is taken care of. We especially appreciate the last minute requests with family things that you've been able to accommodate for us - we seriously hope you guys pet sit forever 🤣💜 Thank you as always!!!”

“Victoria is amazing! We were struggling with leaving our fur babies for a week, but Victoria put our mind at ease. She took such good care of our babies and home. When she stopped by to drop off the key all of our dogs (3 of them) were excited to see her again. To top it off, she is just a genuinely amazing person that is kind and trustworthy. We will absolutely be using her in the future.”

“Susan was fantastic! She took great care of all of our animals and was really great at communicating. Prompt, professional. Just an awesome person and caregiver! Thankful to have had her stay with our pack.”

“Katherine did a great job taking care of our dog and the house. We really appreciated her updates, communication, and cleanliness. We would highly recommend her and will be reaching out again in the future!”

“Alexis was absolutely amazing! She was incredibly communicative and sent me frequent photos of my fur babies throughout her stay, which gave me so much peace of mind. When I got home, they were happy and well cared for. She also left my house just as neat as I had left it, which made my late arrival home so much more relaxing. I will definitely be using her services again for my Christmas trip and any future travels!”

“Reyna was so great with our pup! She was reliable, communicative, and made us feel so comfortable being away from home through videos and pictures. Our dog took to her sweet spirit immediately. She will be watching him again!”

Angel has watched my boys a few times now. He gives great updates and pictures. I know my boys are being well taken care of! He also goes above and beyond and leaves the house cleaner than when he got there which is always greatly appreciated! You can rest easy when Angel is watching your pets.

Kristine watched our 12 year old Aussie and 10 chickens for 7 days and she was wonderful. She was in contact with us every day and sent pictures of our Aussie. Just before we left, he had given himself a hotspot and he had to be in a cone the entire time we were gone. Kristine treated him with her own supplies and made a huge difference in healing him up before we got home. She took exceptional care of our sweet dog and our chickens and we returned to a neat and clean house. I would definitely recommend Kristine and will use her in the future to watch our animals and home.

Ukaesia did a great job taking care of our senior cat. He has medicine to take everyday and she provided it daily with no issues. I received a photo each time she was at the house and she followed everything I needed her to do with our litter box. I highly recommend her as she is super to work with, communicated clearly and provided excellent care.

Jasleen did a great job taking care of Otto. Otto is 14 years old and gets very sad when we leave home and she did an excellent job making him happy despite him sulking for the first couple of days. Jasleen sent us daily messages with photos about how Otto was doing and we could tell that he really liked her!
Kaitlin is everything you would want in a pet sitter! Efficient communication, punctual and so very sweet to our animal crew! She sent pictures daily and was very detailed to ensure our large (and very medicated crew) was taken care of properly. We can't wait to have her back.
Jayna took great care of our big baby, Finn. She dealt with his unanticipated "tummy troubles" and cared for him as if he were her own. Knowing Finn and our house were well cared for made our long time away so much more enjoyable. We will definitely use Jayna again.

Sarah was excellent and met all our needs. We had a number of special needs for our fur family. Both of my college daughters had a pet staying at the house along with our dog and 2 skittish cats. So each animal had its own special set of directions and they all needed to be managed separately to keep everyone happy and safe. Sarah managed all these expectations perfectly, giving each pet indualized care. She sent pictures and updates and was very responsive when I sent messages. I will definitely use Sarah again for our pet care needs.
We had a last minute need for a sitter for 3 pups and Sarah really came through! Not only was she super responsive regarding availability, booking, and coming for a meet and greet the very next morning, but she continued the excellent communication and updates while I was gone. One of our three pups is such a nervous/shy girl but even by day two she was sleeping with Sarah at night and being a little love beggar ☺️ just goes to show how great Sarah is with animals. I know next time I need a sitter Sarah will be my first choice!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Frederickson walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Frederickson maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Frederickson choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Frederickson. On Rover:

- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
